The latest update fixed the crashes I was experiencing in iOS 11 I m so happy that the dev is still supporting this wonderful app                     It works again Zjenji
The internal sounds are whatever but I come up with such cool melodies that I d never come up with otherwise This is so close to perfect what it needs is A external midi control so you can send chord and sequences changes to keep things tight B Also as I said the external sounds are whatever and I don t have much use for a monophonic drum sequencer so it would be cool if you could set the green track to behave like the regular melodic tracks when sending midi out C Also the ability to transpose up and down octaves when sending midi would be awesome as well Add that and this goes from a great app to a 5 star genius level tool for coming up with crazy inhuman melodies                 Such a cool little sequencer but Dddduncan
Olympia is definitely on the forefront of the most interesting and innovative interface designs out there today                     Truly innovative tortorareed
A really elegant UI and an interesting set of constraints for creating tunes                     Intriguing rknLA
It is so much fun making music with your programs                     Terrific fun awesome Fauxmandan
Only my 2 or 3 review but this little twinkle bot rhythm and melody matrix is more than it seems If you are interested in ethereal bit or any non mainstream electronic music this is a buy Link and Audiobus ready and also secret but has midi out and can be used like a generative sequencer on 3 diff models midi channels                     DOTS da T RUST(i)K
Thank you sooo much for giving this the iPad love Only thing I d ask for is the option to have chord changes synced to bar changes for smoother transitions Oh and the ability to trigger chord and track changes via midi Bravo Ben Great work as usual                     Almost perfect for what it is MusixMonkey
Glad you made it iPad compatible                     Love this app DrewBerg
Everything ONC releases is gold This one is no exception Download it now                     Olympia Noise Co does it again OneRoomStudios
This is both a fantastic tool and a delightful toy Like everything from ONC it sounds ridiculously good and inspires exploration and creativity                     Brilliant surprising fun ectal
I wasn t expecting to have this much fun with this app Now all my friends think I m a DJ                     Easy fun and deep Jumbanada
Amazin unique input app I recommend their whole iPhone iPad catalog Limitations are amazing Perfectly placed This promotes creative zen                 Hypnotic Musicmandisco
i m a figure holic this app while not as robust is well on its way there AND covers things figure does not like automated alternate time signatures and chord switching on the fly as well as customization based on a piano keyboard i m very glad i bought it                     intuitive and charming Miss Parse
Would be nice if it did though along with a portrait orientation for iPhone             Does NOT support IPad screen size S. L. Biggs
Another app with a description that s too good to be true In fact the description was written better than the app itself The program s capacity seemed to me to be greatly embellished through the use of open ended broad statements which paint many pictures of its few features The app itself produces little more than random weirdness The potential chaos that comes with apps of this sort has undergone a type of stupefied taming process via the limiting of the number of instruments to a paltry three all of which are definitively ambient I m not saying that I hate this app I m sure I ll be able to come up with some sort of use for it however subtle that may be But the navigation is clunky the sounds lack punch the track programming brings to mind an analogy of a being with a beautiful head arms and legs sans the torso The sequencer is the torso and it is what ties together programs like this Weak programming capabilities hold this guy back from being a powerful all in one and keeping it in the awkward unsynth category I do see their artistic vision of a new type of sequencer but they took the all important editing screen and randomized it without any possibility of further editing That in itself turns this into nothing more than a toy I m going to take a guess that maybe 1 of all songs ever feature random instrument sequences If I sound bitter I apologize I m trying to write a productive review However I just keep remembering all the great apps I have in my collection that didn t cost 3 99 Yes I m a cheapskate but it s all relevant             Basic at best Ringworm Smalls
My expectations were high for this app considering the other excellent work this design house has put into the world This app so far is not impressive There are pages of notes one could review but as this is a music app the app should be judged by how it sounds and the sounds are not great             Getting Better free midi Fauxmantic
10 seconds in and I m enjoying this app a lot It really let s you get creative while still sounding good                 Really fun Jigginsworth
This is a good tool It s fun to use has robust MIDI settings and versatility that could be used for many types of users from starters to serious With this one can use it as a quick go to app for quickly sketching simple melodies in a visual way or use it to drive other synths or beat boxes The built in electronic sounds nice quality and can stand on their own The only issue I can think of is that it s optimized for an iPhone up therefore it s sort of bulky on an iPad but a still very usable and fun Developers please make an iPad optimized version                 FUN dataBANG
I was skeptical at first reading some of the reviews I m glad I got dot melody It is a wonderful little idea generator that can take you outside of your usual rhythm It is quick to learn easy to use and while I usually hate IAPs this is worth it for the small cost                     Out of the box thinking High five ghost's cousin
This little app is a super fun sketch pad for any musician I especially like how it promotes new ways of thinking about music yet is still usable with traditional principles I m addicted to the darn thing Haven t got the in app midi rig but am likely to just to more fully explore the app as a compositional tool with my full sound bank and Logic Good Job Guys                     Fun leftycutter
While rather limited as a standalone instrument it s as a midi sequencer arpegiator that this app really shines The interface workspace is amazingly well put together and intuitive Easily in the same league as Xynthysizr Poly and Arpeggionome although not quite as granular Well worth the in app purchase Amazingly easy to create organic yet very pleasing rhythms and short melodies A separate out for bass drum lead makes it easy to send isolated signals to multiple instruments                     Fantastic Midi sequencer AmusingMoniker
Crappy app Bad presentation boring sounds interface capabilities Didn t even want to download it For some strange reason when I tapped details while looking into this crap it selected buy and didn t prompt me for a password Even now that I accidentally downloaded this junk I can very carefully and directly tap details and iTunes acts as if I selected buy open Something is fishy about that Sure just get a few thousand people to think they accidentally downloaded a 3 useless app to gain a few extra bucks     This is a scam Scam87654321
Has a great and different way of generating sequences Making changes to the sequences is easy And a great way of stringing chord changes and melodic sequences together A modest IAP for midi functionality All around FUN                 Novel and functional TooMuchTo
It has a lot of potential but the learning curve kills it Also the instruments aren t that great either     Wish it was better P000B34R
Great music app Fun to mess around with I agree that time progression can be a little confusing I purchased the midi add on and I m confused on how to design a tone                 Great g0omba
Easy to use Fun to use Works immediately without any instruction The instructions help clarify some of the features on the program Nice sound quality on head phones Sounds great on the speaker system which I used through AirPlay I understand there is a midi connection but I have not yet tried it Simple to use and not difficult to make melodic chords and rhythm                     Dot Melody Alanrkamen
dot Melody is an interesting app that allows you to create musical patterns quickly and with a unique interface The visuals of the app are interesting but it can be confusing if you have a specific progression in mind to try and create that with the grid Placing dots left or right on the grid changes the length of each note while going up and down changes the pitch within a selected scale Except that notes lower on the grid are higher in pitch and you can t really predict what a pattern will sound like from the visual representation You can create custom scales and there are quite a few instruments so there s some unique possibilities Some people have compared this app to Propellerhead s Figure but it seems a little more random than that Basically you just place a series of dots on the grid and move things around hoping to come up with something new I do think this is an interesting creative tool and it has tons of features including a note sequencer It s just a bit of a steep learning curve which I have yet to master I also note that Virtual MIDI output is an intriguing option for this type of app but it is an in app purchase for 1 99 Not a huge cost but beware of that separate purchase if you intend on using the app with other synths                 Nice sounds promising but interface a little confusing HouseOfHomuth
Feature rich Very programmable and musical Midi out and Audiobus really expands dot Melody Nice work Dev Would like Audioshare as export                     Awesome app Mgmg4871
As a stand alone music source this app feels limited by its small selection of sounds but as a MIDI controller it shines with versatility and usefulness                 A great MIDI controller
10 seconds in and Im enjoying this app a lot It really lets you get creative while still sounding good              Really fun
