I realized that the reviews were terribly mixed when I purchased this application and that usually steers me away One or two bad reviews especially when it is apparent that the reviewer had a specific need that the program never promised to address is not all that bad In this case I should have paid more attention and let caution rule the day I noticed that this application had not been updated in a LONG time That should have also been a warning The application loads and plays videos fine but I cannot get the editing bars to appear no matter what I try I did read the help file and the editing bars are supposed to appear when the SHIFT key is pressed I m beginning to wonder if this application works with Lion and QuickTime X I no longer have QuickTime 7 installed and I recently ditched Perian due to it s announced discontinuance so I don t know if that is a problem I don t think so since the files I tried are QuickTime files I have written the developer but have not received an answer For now if you are up to date please know that this progaram IS NOT I will of course ammend by review if the developer writes and explains why I can t get the program to function     Does this need an update robbchadwick

Once I got the hang of using the little slider area at the bottom for selecting a region then trimming to it I was all set All I really needed to do was trim some old video footage nothing fancy I looked on the app store real quick for anything simple The description fit what I needed I downloaded it figured out the selection mechanics and within 10 minutes I was able to trim right down to the 1 minutes or so I that needed I gave this a high rating because it was exactly what I needed                     Simple GoocherZ

I needed a simple app to cut out parts of a video This app was perfect Everyone should read the description it says it s a simple app that does a couple of simple edits If that s what you need this app is great The load time for a video is INSTANT and the export is VERY QUICK I give it 5 stars and no I don t know the developer                     Great Simple App iPhone App Lover 99

It is what it is for a quick edit it s ok and there is some versatility I need to edit from Time second X to time second x Yes I can do it with the features But not any more precisely Than QT 10 Now for ease of spicing it may be better then QT 7 that allows this so for three bucks if you need something simple what the hell is three bucks any more a cup of good coffee             I ll keep it for 3 bucks It s OK Duncan Adams

I really miss the old QuickTime Pro that let you select cut copy and paste Why did they ever change that not everything needs to be an iMovie project I m not looking to make magic here I just need to quickly trim the fat out of some MOV files This does the job perfectly                     Just What I Needed Matthew Stroh

Sorry thanks goodness it was only 3 I don t like to give poor reviews but here goes I have the newest iMac available top of the line and the time this takes to simply remove a short section at the beginning and at the end of a movie file is not worth the 3 Just use iMovie I had hopes that some of the other positive reviews were reality They must be using some short web optimized clips I had a 15 minute clip that was around 80mb and planned to take just a few seconds off the beginning and the end but the export was going to take well over an hour Bummer Deal I feel bad for the poor review     Not Even Close lilrig

My whole point of purchasing the app was to adjust the aspect ratio on some some movies mp4 that somehow got crunched to 4 3 even though they re actually widescreen This program had a resize function that appeared to be working correctly It resized a 1080x1080 clip to 1280x720 and everything looked great Went to export and it claimed an hour to output to iphone doesn t say iphone 4 or 3 or what which seemed excessive but okay So I left it alone and an hour later it was 15 done 15 It now claimed that it would take NINE additional hours to complete NINE This is absolutely absurd It s a nine minute clip It s not like I m trying to convert a 2 hour movie just a 9 minute clip I ve played around with things and have tried to figure out how another reviewer could possibly have claimed it to be fast It does output a MOV quickly but it doesn t use the settings from resizing So it s utterly useless Either it doesn t save the changes you ve made or it takes 10 hours to save them This is so frustrating my only consolation is that I only wasted 3 on it I m running this on a brand new 13 MacBook Pro with 8GB ram and an i5 processor Should not take this long It s barely using any ram and maxing out one core of the processor I have no idea why it s so slow     Utterly Useless Greyerlynx

i run a church website that uploads its sermon videos weekly and all i needed was a program to make 2 simple cuts at the beginning and at the end easymovie is an absolute dream come true for me i was using iMovie it was taking around 20 25 minutes to import a mp4 file for editing and then taking the same amount of time to export as mp4 easymovie instantly opened my video no import time at all and re saved my edited clip within 2 MINUTES this program shaves a good 45 50 minutes off my work time i love it it was well worth the small price                     exactly what i needed coachaaron
