The listings are limited which usually means that those actually shown on the app are paying to be there The descriptions read like ads and give unrealistic expectations Hawick has affordable prices PLEASE If you re looking for shops eateries Yelp does better even though it s not anywhere near as active in the UK as the US Of course you need wifi data for Yelp unless you do all your research ahead not very realistic Most hotels give wifi and there are free hotspots if you know where to look For area information this app does well enough Their map is exactly the same as the Edinburgh Streetmap Offline app         Meh Yelp does better woodland-creature

Of all the free travel apps available for the iPhone Guidepal apps though not perfect are my favorite I like most of the Guidepal apps And I travel A LOT While there tends to be pretty good information and ideas they need to do more to regularly update the apps Most of the time the prices and or open hours listed are wrong This is important information for people who are trying to use the app but do not have wifi at the destination to check current rates and times Guidepal needs to be very diligent about updating the app with current information             Best available free app but could be even better Graigory
