Eponyms (for students)

Its a great app for all medical student A must have This a no brainer issue Hats off to the guy who wrote this first foe the palm and then porting it to iPhone I sincerely thank you It cannot download as a background process and the app must be active to download You cannot multitask Please fix this              Not iphone4 optimised yet

This was a great app but it seems like it hasnt been changed since the iPhone 3 There are tons of bugs now and I cant look at an eponym without the iTunes applications tab opening by itself Please fix it Adding more eponyms would make it even better           Bugs need to be fixed

I am so glad somebody ported this over to the iphone it is such a useful app It is not to be confused with a dictionary it is simply a way to learn the old names for syndromes and diseases                 Great app

Great app for eponyms I would rate this 5 stars if it had two additional things 1 add pictures or the option to add it yourself 2 add your own eponyms not in the database              Good info but no pictures

This is a great little app It is a useful but very limited type of medical dictionary just like an app that listed only syndromes and their definitions would be and it doesnt pretend to be anything more than that Its fun just to read down the list for personal education or for prep for a board exam Mine hasnt crashed iPhone 3GS no problems to report I would suggest that users who cant find depression or coccidiowhatever refer to a regular dictionary first so they know what an eponym is then a medical dictionary for a definition of the noneponymous term in question                 Re depression bipolar and coccidiowhatever

Still rough on the edges There is no way to submit suggestions or corrections easily ie How do I help you correct your misspelling of Colless when it should be Colles How may I suggest Smiths fracture easily              Great concept

Seriously I came by to write a short note thanking the app developers and requesting a new feature and then found myself enraged by some of these idiotic and careless reviews 1 If you are going to waste your own time and everyone elses not to mention degrade the economic value of someones hard work you should at least bother to find out what the app is FOR Just because you are too uneducated to know and too lazy to look up in a dictionary what an eponym is is not an excuse for giving a low rating to someones work 2 Eponyms is a simple and easy to use reference for medical eponyms Im a doctor and I have not yet looked up an eponym that wasnt in the database Its fast simple and has no bugs This is clearly a four or fivestar implementation of a reference for a very specific data set 3 also just because YOUR iPhone crashes after using a particular app does not prove that there is anything wrong with the app itself and should not warrent a negative review Please limit your rating to the app itself and not you defective piece of hardware Ok Well with that off my chest let me thank the developers for a job well done and for a very useful app A feature that I would like to have and that should be relatively simple to implement would be to have a study mode in which you would be shown a random eponym and then could reveal the definition like a flashcard it would be good to have the reverse too where the definition is shown and you have to remember the eponym Anyway thanks again hope you read this and considering adding that feature Cheers                 Shame on you careless reviewers

I love the app but its now unusable The app keeps crashing and redirecting me to App Store to install Candy Crush As much as Id like to play games all day I dont have time for that or the constant reopening of Eponyms Please fix this     Please fix

Been using this since my palm days Interface is clean and easy to use App comprehensive Author of eponyms database responsive to additions and suggestions For those comlpaining about wanting to submit new eponyms or corrections send an email to the database author Link to database website with address is in app                 Great app

cryptosporidiosis is NOT an eponymous condition Eponymous means that its named after some guy like Cushings disease or WaterhouseFriederischen syndrome or Cotard syndrome etc           the last poster

Really nice appvery helpfulbut please add an option where we can submit eponyms that arent included in the appor at least if we could have an option to add them for our personal use Considering that certain eponyms are significant only from a particular regional point of view              Very helpful

So a guide for eponyms Seems useful especially since medical terminology can only get you so far Whoever thought of naming medical conditions after people is insane students have no choice but to look them up or recognise them Atleast with other medical terms you can break them down to find out what they mean                 hmmmm

the popup ads got out of control The app crashes all the time now automatically opens up iTunes and puts fullscreen ads up that you cant dismiss        This app was great until

But when I select search the list vanishes n it doesnt show me the eponym I typedpl update for OS 41                 Great

This app is fantastic and Im amazed by how many eponyms are included Very helpful Only tweek would be to have the ability to add notes to existing eponyms or possibly photos if one of these eponyms comes into your office for future reference              Excellent
