I wanted to write a good review for this app since so many reviewers seem to be disappointed The app actually works if it is used properly My set up Nikon D610 and iPad 2 There is a simple 4step procedure to using this app properly 1 Take 2 or 3 shots with your camera FIRST 2 Then tap the app on your iPad or phone 3 On the upper left corner of the app is an icon that looks like cameratablet Tap this icon It will direct you to go to settings on your receiving device 4 On settings go to wifi tap and your receiving device iPad or phone will detect the EyeFicard Check mark the EyeFi card and youre up and running Go back to the EyeFi app on your device The first 2 or 3 photos that you took previously will start loading Be patient It takes a few seconds to download photo files The app does go into sleep mode so if there is a few minutes between your photosyoull simply repeat the process mentioned above If youre expecting instant uploading of your photos youll be disappointed If you follow the procedure and have just a little patience this app will do what it is supposed to do One other thing Keep in mind that this is a memory card and should be formatted in your camera All photos go to your camera roll on your device as well as a separate EyeFi folder Sorryone more thing If your camera has two card slots use the EyeFi card in slot 2 as a JPEG There is no need to shoot RAW on this card as it will take much longer to upload as well as eat up your batteries                 Works perfectly when used properly
This app saves me the hassle of manually uploading pictures to my computer and then to my phone Instead all the picture go straight to my phone Its perfect                 Best App Ever in association with the memory card
Exactly what Ive always been looking for Once your purchase the EyeFi SD card connect with your phone and send photos straight from your digital camera to your phone wirelessly There is even an option to have them go straight to your iPhone camera album as well as the EyeFi app                 Perfect
Ive used EyeFi and have recommended it to others I use it as an integral part of my job to take great DSLR photos and be able to put them online for social media right away Unfortunately with the latest iOS update the application no longer opens Please fix When it works its great Only other complaint is that the cards are pretty fragile and Ive had a couple of the cases separate They are still usable but annoying to keep together           Loved until latest update
The only way I can get photos off the card is by plugging it into my computer Hmm not quite what I was going for The app feels like it was built in a weekend by summer interns in the accounting department Its just awful in every respect     Pitiful
I agree totally with keepinsharp Follow directions and be patient You will soon have photo transfers in a jiffy I have been using it over a year and am completely satisfied                 Works Great For Me on iPad 4
Im very upset that this app is not working for my iPhone 6 can someone help me out please the photos are not transferring I feel like I waisted my money on such a good idea     Very upset
Doesnt work with my iPad air 2 or my iPhone 6 No response from support     No longer works
After fiddling around with the EyeFi Pro X2 I figured out what works best for me For starters having the card in the camera DOES cause the camera to boot up slower about 3 to 4 seconds This is kind of expected because of the EyeFis built in processor Knowing this is important because you wont be able to capture some fleeting images if you dont already have your camera turned on Be warned While out and about with the camera I keep the EyeFi function turned off No sense in having the cameras battery work harder for no reason Only when Im ready to transfer to my iPad do I turn the EyeFi function on in the camera This is for in the field transfer of photos For those times that I dont transfer to my iPad I wait until I return home place the camera near my wireless router for best transfer speed turn the camera on turn the EyeFi function on and go about whatever is I do when I return home In the meantime the EyeFi card uploads the photos in the camera to EyeFi Center Online and later when Im ready I launch EyeFi app on my iPad and my photos are there or soon will be for me to do whatever Id like with them And since I have my desktop App Aperture set up for Photo streaming my photos are waiting for me there too One thing to remember in my way of understanding and working with this card is that until I launch my iPads EyeFi app the photos will not appear in Apertures Photo Streaming folder When the photos are loaded into the iPads EyeFi app they become part of iPads Camera Roll and therefore are streamed to iCloud and shared with Aperture or iPhoto I presume not being an iPhoto user So it does have its usefulness for me but its not as slick as I would have hoped for I think that the Mobi card would probably be a better alternative since it is highly likely that the Pro X2 card is on the way out           Works For Me
Taken dozens of photos on the go and happen to have a photo you want to share with some friends or only need to upload one to a social network Well have fun having no control over selecting that one or two photos to upload Please release a 32 gig xpro card or include this common sense feature I am not talking about the hack priority transfer either     Lack of selective transfer a huge annoyance
Great for sharing photos because it automatically sends to iPhone by choosing eyefi in the settings of the phone and choosing the Eyefi app It puts the photos into your camera roll and i like that And it also only moves a photo once so you dont end up with duplicates O use it with my Mobi card and my x2 card The mobi is much easier to setup because you just put the password I tried the eye fi mobi app and its awful because you have to move the photos into the camera roll and i ended up with doubles                 Great for sharing photos
Does not let you set which types of media to upload videophoto so you cannot prevent large video files from slowing down the process The WiFi connection from the card is unreliable as it sometimes will not connect and other times it cannot even be seen If you think you can just throw the SD card in an adapter and upload your pics that way think again EyeFi has security that prevents you from doing so It is YOUR card and YOUR pictures what gives them the right to limit you how to use it     Not Very Reliable Lack of Controls
I absolutely hate having to get home to put my sd card in my iMac just so that Im able to review and edit my photos now with this Eyefi card I can do it in the fly on my iPad or iPhone 6 plus I would give it a higher rating if I could                 Exactly what I was looking for
I followed the instructions to set up a new 16GB EyeFi Pro x2 but failed Too many broken pieces of info that do not match the actual behavior of the setup If you want to press the thumb down icon to rate their online instructions your login can never be accepted Too much misleading info but not helpful at all Ill return the EyeFi card to the seller as I cant successfully set it up I had a EyeFi Mobi card that was easier to set up BUT not the current models     Bad software for setup
Original Review EyeFi Pro x2 card connects to my iPhone 6 but the app does not recognize it Please fix If you are having the issue I described delete the EyeFi profile and the EyeFi app Reinstall the app and set up again              EyeFi App Fix
Very nice                 Nice
It stopped working after I updated my iPhone Now it doesnt connect at all     Need to be fixed
Have been using it with mobi cards for some time This allows me to direct connect iOS with camera saving me the hassle of moving them the computer first I use it to just move photos to ipadiphone to temporarily share photos via photostream to all the devices The original full resolutions stays on SD are for later if i want to save them Just know how it works Eyefi will transfer full resolutions it iOS device So just do a normal flushing of your device dont worry you can still backup the EyeFI SD card on computer for originals              Great way move to photostream for sharing
Bought a European SanDisk EyeFi card off ebay inexpensively It is incredible The iPhone app works fine for me as does the computer version Be not afraid                 Impressive
Really want to be able to select which photos to import not all           Useful but limited
This app is in bad need of a good update Meanwhile the Mobi app is being updated rather frequently Seems us Pro X2 users are being left behind while the focus is going to the Mobi users Time to abandon ship     App needs a serious update
This app has gone downhill At my company we have almost every version of EyeFi cards The process to set them up and get it working is cumbersome it is not explained properly Terminology is used interchangeably between computers and tablets in a way that confuses the customer When you open it for the first time it asks you to do something but its counterintuitive It is not obvious that you can log into your existing account you have to click a different button then what is initially prompted Direct transfer doesnt always work Transferring over WiFi doesnt always work either Even when it does transfer it gets so slow that you can literally watch the progress bar even with smaller sized images Everything you send from one device to another has to go through the EyeFi servers Hire some better management and rework your software The app used to work but now its a piece of garbage     Management needs fired
Just wondering if the creators of this app pay to have people leave good reviews How is it totally horrible to some and perfect to others        Are the reviews fake
I couldnt get EyeFi to appear in my iPads network list Solution Turn on EyeFi in cameras setting menu Might want to turn off while taking pics so cameras battery doesnt run down Also be sure to toggle back to preferred network on iPad when done uploading                 EyeFi connection fix
This is something I paid for     Asked to review while using
The technology is really cool and works well I bought this so I could send friends and family the couple of photos that I like the most If you are like me and take 100 photos and get one or two good ones this device imports all full size photos to your phone or iPad My camera takes 10 MB and larger photos so I burn through memory on my iPhone or iPad too fast Nikon does a better job allowing users to select which photos they want to import Users should have the option to import all or import selected and which size they would like to import to their device That would make this a perfect piece of technology        Nice start keep working on it
Worked great with 7x but stopped working on iPhone iPad running 813     iOS 813
Was awesome no longer loads photos Can and phone are connected but does not load photos Please fix I love this card normally Love this card Great for vacation and having high quality photos right away to email or post I had to call customer service on 2 occasions because I had some settings marked off incorrectly causing it to not function as I wanted Both times cust service was helpful in solving the problem Thanks eye fi     Was great Stopped working
My husband gave me the Eyefi as a bday present and I love the though of it Its incredible when on vacation and not near a computer I can upload edit share and post all of our pics I hate this app though Please update even when there are no pics in the app it still says it has some there thats my biggest annoyance It is very slow and just flat out needs some updates     Ugh
I can upload pictures to the app but i cant save any directly to my camera roll Really eye fi        Seriously
unable to connect to the card while at home using direct connection frustrating one of my biggest gripes with this app why does EVERY photo need to be transferred it would be much more beneficial if you could select individual photos to transfer i dont want the whole 16GB worth of data sitting on my phone especially after the app retrieves the deleted photos from the card and puts it back on the phone thats super annoying and ive decided to quit using the card and app until i can find something more viable     leaves a lot to be desired
First of all the eye fi card slows down my Sony a77 dslr Skipping freezing lag Simply browsing through photos was a pain Put in my old regular sd card it was speedy and back to normal This is the old app for eye fi cards but for some reason pops up first when searching eye fi The new one is also NON FUNCTIONING though Apparently eye fi is going through a funk So for consumer reasons I post a review on both to be seen The transfers never worked I got about 5 pics to upload after a week of many attempts Tried high and lower resolution Finally gave up and returned Love the concept but the results arent there More of a hassle than anything Now I simply Dropbox all my dslr pics If your looking for an alternative to not use a computer to transfer pics This is not going to be it Sorry people     Eye fi needs some serious quality control
It transferred each and every photo to my iPhone without me asking So disappointing     No Control
Terrible app Ive been trying to get pictures to go to my phone for 2 whole days now smh Doesnt even work when youre in actual wifi     Hate it
Software does not seem to work with iPhone 6 It appears to not connect at all And Ive tried everything I can think of Spent 3 hours trying and researching Appears the company prefers to try to spend efforts trying to sucker people into a new yearly cloud plan for their new Mobi I WAS using Pro X2 Not anymore     Not for iPhone 6
I have had this card for almost three years now I bought it before direct mode I love direct mode so I can send pictures from my canon to my iPhone for immediate use I love this eyefi app I take a lot of pictures on my phone and its nice to have them sent to my laptop in folders by date My only problem is that the app will not upload videos or png files Please add png to the app please it is what ape using when you screen capture on the iPhone Also videos that are over a certain size will not download to my laptop If you are going to have a limitation then you need to set the app to skip those so it doesnt stop the whole process              Great system
Fails to upload RAW2 format pict to the device regardless the companys claim that it does App still similar as it was originally developed     Original without any major improvements
The app is ancient     Dire need of an upgrade
Same as everyone elses review     Poor
So I once gave this app 4 stars No longer It clearly is decaying somewhere and is useless It has been refreshed over the years but clearly done by a bargain basement dev firm I dont think that EyeFi will be around for long if this app is any indication of the state of their company Its a shame because their isnt really a replacement out their Original review below It takes some knowhow to get this set up and working if you ask for help with everything involving an electronic device this isnt for you In reality not too difficult though Oh yeah one more thing You have to own an Eyefi Card     App is nonfunctional So long EyeFi
Im satisfied with this product its for me to enjoy the pictures I take and be able to share on my I Pad My only disappointment right now is havent gotten it to work with my phone It could be user errorthen again maybe not              Mi fi
I think this is one of the coolest pieces of technology to come my way in quite a while I wanted to be able to take pictures with my real digital camera not a phone without having to drag my old laptop around with me on vacation to upload pictures I also didnt want to buy a wifi camera for several reasons I dont necessarily want to upload photos directly to social media or deal with a camera manufacturers software for web uploading This card meets my needs perfectly I was able to take tons of pictures on vacation this summer and wirelessly upload them to my iPad and then decide what to do with them from there Im surprised to see some recent negative reviews complaining of bugs It still works perfectly for me but I am also not using the newest version of iOS The only tiny bug I could complain about is that occasionally my iPads wifi finder does not immediately pick up the card When this happens I just quit Settings and reopen it and the card is always there on the second try Not a big deal Ive been using it for 5 months now and really love it                 Love this
Worked fine on iPad 1 tho it did take a little fiddling settingresetting network options Annoying but happy seeing pix on iPad Doesnt appear at all on iPad 3 even doing same things I did on 1 First time trying this feature and will try gain tomorrow        Worked fine on iPad 1 doesnt appear on iPad 3
great for non wifi and nfc enable cameras but the caveat is that you cant transfer selected one image images at a time you must upload all of the content to your iphone or iPad I want control of single image transfer please        great concept
Seems the developer has abandoned this app for the new version of the eyefi card Buggy and spotty     Buggy and outdated
This app stopped automatically uploading after a recent update     Stopped working
I think this product is aimed at the casual photographer and technophile who has the time and skills to fiddle around to make the card work From a usability perspective the integration between card and software is pretty awful Certain things arent clear until youve used it a while such as only being able to transfer images to one device at a time phone or tablet and the option to switch those is buried a couple of menu levels down More troubling is that the connection between card and app is unreliable Even with the camera on fulltime its not really usable for tethering it just drops the connection for no reason even when both card and tablet are in close proximity This is a shame because a better implementation would be a terrific product but given the reality of how it actually works I couldnt recommend it On the plus side EyeFi did replace the card when the two halves of the plastic shell came apart        Not really a reliable tool
For the most part this app running on my wifes iPad with an X2 Pro card has worked as advertised All of the photos from my DSLR get sent to her iPad where she can do an initial review delete rotate etc Recently however she discovered that she could no longer import additional pictures because her 32GB iPad had insufficient memory I had assumed at the time that it was simply due to the fact that she had too many pictures on the iPad that she had not deleted after archiving them to my Mac However when I had a look at the Usage statistics on the iPad Camera Roll was at about 8GB and EyeFi was at 12GB I had always assumed that it had almost 0 storage as all the imports were going to the Camera Roll After calling support I was informed that it was due to some RAW photos which Camera Roll cant handle and some videos These orphan files were never deleted and there is no mechanism inside the app to delete them The solution Uninstall and reinstall the app What kind of a developer would think that is an appropriate interface solution Simplea lazy one Be warned never import RAW or Video unless you want to have no way of deleting them without a reinstall        Possible Memory Hog
This app is a nightmare I couldnt get the card to sync with the app and after an hour of starting and restarting not a single photo had been transferred yet A waste of time     Terrible After an hour it still wouldnt work
Scott just about every app asks you to write a review of it in iTunes I have no problems with EyeFi with my Nikon D7000              Original EyeFi app Mobi EyeFi app
