FINAL FANTASY VII

I have played the game and love every minute of it I hope that FF8 and FF9 are not to far away I would pay the same for those games as I did for this one Thank you                 Love FF7

Please take off the blue bars I dont mind it not taking up the full screen since the original game was 43 but whats with the blue bars on the side Cant they just be black Ruins the cinematic experience Will change to 5 stars if this is fixed        Great game but

My major issue is that the slowdown on the world map is horrendous Once you get to disc 23 where you are traversing the world quite often in your airship and submarine the slowness is almost unbearable This really needs an update Also an update that allows the phone to be held with the headphone jack on either side would be greatly appreciated           Great Game Ok Port

If you dont know the brilliance of VII you dont know games This is a contender for the best game ever and has been for almost 20 years My only gripes are related to the port The overworld lag is a bit of a pain but not a deal killer But the random pausing that causes force resets That a legitimate PITA I get it coding a game is hard I couldnt do it But that one thing is kind of irritating Update the pause bug is still killing this game Huge pain for any major battle              Game is Great Port Need Updates

Its a great game I enjoy playing this game as much as used to play as a kid And I was really excited to see that this app can be used in multiple languages I set the iPad language to Japanese just so I can play this game in Japanese Unfortunately recent update to ios9 caused it unable to play in Japanese It seems like you can still play in English but I didnt look into it further since the names got all messed up I know its currently incompatible with iOS 9 but I really hope that they are looking into the problem so I can resume playing              iOS update causes language incompatibility

Paused at corel desert battle and the game freeze already fix it need more update     PAUSED HANG

Cannot play in foreign languages on iOS 9 Which is my main reason buying this port version Please fix soon Im still enjoying this in English only           Fun works alright but no foreign language support iOS 9

I have never played Final Fantasy 7 before the release to iOS Ive played FF1 36 and the FF 4 after years This game truly is a deep story just like 4 and 6 but with so much more emotion given to the characters Graphics are about like I expected since this is a direct port to iOS not a 3D upgrade like FF 4 from Super NES to modern systems Very happy with how the game blended the playable background to the CG cutscenes And the material combos per characters are endless reminding me of the esper combos from FF6 I spent about 55 hours to complete the game over a month This is a great way to pass the time on your iPhone or iPad You can control button visibility on the config menu and I had no problems controlling Cloud or working through the commands Like others I must echo my frustrations with the pause glitch that happens during extensive battling The biggest bummer is trying to get through the battle square and denied Omnislash time and time again I was one final move away before the pause glitch killed my efforts If this glitch happens you have to reset the game all progress is lost The best remedy is to save early and often Hopefully the fine people at Square Enix will address this in a version update Waiting until that day before taking on Ruby and Emerald Weapons Also the game is sluggish in the overworld the submarine sequence and the highwind This is a minor nuisance though Simply save and reset And if you have boarded a chocobo the Highwind seems to fly a bit faster I did not any of the other hardships So this is a great game to buy especially if youve never played FF7 before I recommend playing FF 4 first 5 star review the best game in the FF series in my opinion then FF6 then this game              Awesome game Loved it Two caveats of note

I remember playing this game when I was 13 and fell in love I had to buy the mobile version soon as I saw it Once you get ust to the controls its just as good as the original I highly recommend No problems yet                 Awesome

I bought this game with high expectations and when i started playing it almost exceeded what i originally hoped Everything works great the game runs fairly smoothly Excluding the world map looks nice and has been my 1 app played since i bought it However there is one MAJOR issue that i have encountered When in boss fights sometimes the game will pause itself with the text cant escape appearing at the top of the screen You cant unpause and the only thing you can do is reset the app losing any unsaved data in the process I cannot go any further in disk 2 because this happened like five minutes into the boss fight with shizo every time The only thing i can do now is wait till the bug is fixed in a future update Save your money until then cause it will only end up frustrating you later down the road as it did me and manny others        Desperately needs an update

Im a huge fan of FF7 I feel like it was the last FF that you could get 100 of things without loosing a decade Thats not to say the battles are easy some are far from it taking the better part of an hour to beat it There is some glitch during battle that essentially freezes the game with a pause window that you cant get rid of I think it mostly happens during a summon but Ive had it during a long limit break as well This is super frustrating because it takes away an entire attack method at a time when you need it most Its a daunting task to beat any of the weapons without Knights of the Round Table I think whoever did this port needs to get this fixed at 16 this is the most expensive app Ive ever bought and maybe Im way off here but I expect relative perfection at that price           Frustrated Needs major bug fixes

Ive been waiting for Final Fantasy VII to be ported to iOS Square did not disappoint porting the game either If youre looking for a fantastic classic JRPG look no further From what Ive played so far the game appears to be a direct port from the original PlayStation version The game works well on my iPhone 6s Plus with very smooth and clean graphics For those people out there who are complaining about widescreen graphics or poor controls stop Ill admit the controls are a little hard to handle at first but in my case Im just accustomed to using a PlayStation controller However the controls are easy to use once you get used to them and Square thought them through very well Graphics wise this version of Final Fantasy VII is pretty much just like the original The game is still fun to play and the graphics dont detract from the story which is awesome Yes its 43 not 169 but truthfully the game does not suffer one bit being presented in its original aspect ratio                 Still A Fantastic Game

Everything runs fine on my iphone 5c but the overworld when u get out of midgard its very laggy and the fps are at a snails pace it takes me 5mins to get to a city please fix                 Love the game But

Oh how we miss the days of Squaresoft Back when Square was epic doing for people that loved their great work By far the best rpg ever made and only reason the majority of the fanbase loves the series The only gripe I have as trivial as it is Blue borders on the iPhone Please update iPhone gameplay to mirror the full screen capability on the iPad the game looks amazing on the iPad mini                 Squaresoft

Lets just get this started shall we Im not ashamed to admit that this is my first time playing the all mighty Final Fantasy 7 Perhaps it would have been an even better experience playing it on a big screen and without the laggy moments associated with this version Although to tell you the truth I dont think a single thing in the entire planet could have enhanced this life changing embarkment short of having one million dollars wired into my bank account for beating the game And as of last night thats exactly what I did When I first played the game I posted a review on the AppStore saying that the game was completely flawless and lag free but that was before I left midgar While there where still some insane technical errors that some were reporting that I did not expirence the game did have its fair share of lag and techy issues like being stuck in a pause screen in certain battles and the only way out is to restart the game While it does pose a problem especially if you havent saved for a while before that point the good news is that it I a completely random occurrence that doesnt hinder you from completion of the game and only happened to me a small number of times in the gargantuan 70 hour main story As for the lag on the world map all you need to do is open and close the menu and its much faster But as I said earlier NONE of those problems were even remotely troublesome enough to ruin the expirence for me I must say its a little embarrassing to admit but I cried to death after beating it last night The storyline is simply the most amazing thing ever written in the history of story telling including movies books anything And sephiroth is the most amazing antagonist of all video game creation with the final battle against him being singlehandedly the most mind blowing expirence I have ever had in the 26 years Ive been alive not to mention the fact that I couldnt stop crying from the moment it started till the very end and hours preceding it aeriss death scene also made me ball like a baby making this the greatest video game ever made I even watched advent children earlier today on YouTube the game was so friggn good I must say though I am no at all surprised in saying that because that is the way all the FF games have been ever since I decided to embark on this journey of purchasing and beating all the Final Fantasy games on the iOS store in orderand that is each one was FAR better than the last So in that respect would 8 or 9 be even better if square ever decided to put them in the store as well I would say probably not because Ive beaten FFX as well and although a flawless masterpiece as usual I doesnt even begin to compete with FF7 So perhaps the succession of Final Fantasy games being better and better than the last stops with 7 And really I guess I am ok with that because although it seems easy enough for SE to add 8 and 9 to the AppStore they probably wont because it doesnt say it anywhere in writing Also the fact that whenever SE does release a new FF game on the AppStore everyone and their mother just bad mouth it to death most of all FF 7 so I dont blame SE if they wash their hands of mobile release in the future Thats how I knew about the release of FF7 to the AppStore because I saw it listed as a platform for release on Wikipedia saying summer of 2015 But you never know I guess Well this is probably the end of my iOS FF journey for real this time unless they do decide to add 8 and 9 in the future But until then I will never forget my memories of the greatest game of ALL time                 True nirvana

The speed in the world map is exceedingly slow Also the biggest reason for the two star rating the fight against proud cloud keeps freezing up When it freezes it pauses the game and acts as if every single button had been pressed It will not allow any more progression through the game I had this happen earlier in the game also against Shizo        Love the game itself but

Im an old school chick who grew up w the original Nintendo and PlayStations 12 So I knew what to look for in gameplay as well as expecting what I pay for w all the ffs and would love to see Tidus soon If your a fan of original RPG that made Xbox 360One and PlayStation 4 games what they are today this series of games is and always will be my favorite Id pay anything to play FFX againthat one had a story anyone could get into to lol                 Its finally ffvii on iPhone yay

I love the port of this game Obviously it does have some bugs but that is understandable There are laggy times in the world map and some fairly annoying control input issues but overall Ive been playing it quite fondly I do want to put in a request to make it so all the r1 r2 and L1 and L2 buttons can be pressed at the same time I dislike that I cant press r1 and r2 at the same time The simply dont work together You could let us move the controls where we see fit would be tremendous              Awesome port

Growing up playing this awesome game brings back so much memories I was super stoked when i found out it was released for IOS My morning train rides couldnt be anymore fun now that this is out The game play is still the same as the old PS version Getting adjusted to the controls will take time but youll eventually get used to it Wish it had some touch screen functions but nonetheless the controls are good Glad the autosave is inputed It was definitely needed Overall great game and well engineered              CLASSIC AWESOMENESS

I played this game years ago on PC and it is just as good as I remember Be prepared for many hours of game play with tons of side quests Definitely worth the money                 Finally brought back the best RPG EVER

Game pauses during any battle at random very frustrating when in areas that you cant save Some take an hour or more to get through And you end up playing them three four times before you get through                 Needs an update Pause

The game is great obviously but after I got into the gi cave the mid battle freezing is now growing increasingly more frequent Very frustrating to have to redo thirty battles full of exp the worldmap lag is brutal As a stock holder of square Enix I expect better Please fix so I can make this a true five star game     Love game hate the lag and freezing

Best final fantasy ever Im on an iPhone 6 and this game laggy at times but the real problem is all the crashing at the end of the game Very frustrating to but that many hours into something only to have it crash at the climax        Performance issues

Glitches already and Im not even out of Midgar Unfixed 16 is too much for this game I only hope Square Enix makes it right So far Cloud froze while stepping off a ladder on route to the second reactor mission restarted the ipad and opened FF7 to find the 1 save file I had with cloud on lvl 14 was reverted to a previous save with cloud lvl 9 I lost a hours worth of data I will try making multiple saves on more then one file and suggest you do the same if you decide to download this game glitches and all From what Ive read more glitches await Freezing during battles Lagging on the world map The Game is a classic that should not be tarnished by a poor release It has promise gameplay is good yet unacceptable without being fixed As of 10215 I would hold off on this purchase until at least some of these issues are resolved with an update This Game deserves a Five star rating with glitches I would give it 3 stars but at this price point it deserves only 2 If and when fixes are made I would be happy to leave this game the 5 star review it deserves        Disappointed

I forgot how amazing this game was with all the talk of a remake I dont think its necessary after replaying it Same addictive gameplay touch controls work great Target selection can be a little sloppy sometimes and some button press games are less than idea but it is not unplayable and does not kill the enjoyment of this masterpiece                 Still holds up

This is a great port so far I do see some things wrong though The 1st thing is rather minor butwhenever I battle sometimes an enemy is facing backwards The 2nd thing is that the controls feel a little awkward but you will get used to the controls pretty quick I just wish there was an option to manually set your own controls so you wont have to deal with the default settings This app is 1599 and in my opinion it is worth your money Plus like all apps you can update it too So if you dont have this app I reccomend it If you have it then please keep this app as this app will get updated eventually Overall great app Keep up the good work Square              Why the dislikes

The screen always pauses in the middle of the boss fights and I cant unpause Its been repeatedly happening when fighting the Nibelheim Safe monster Therefore I cant move further in the game If this doesnt get fixed by January 2016 I would like a complete refund for the app since it clearly isnt working right        Was fine until Boss fights

So here the only problem Ive ran into so far and thats it goes in slow motion when in the world idk why but it does and in the bike part before you leave midgar Im running it on an iPhone 5c so thats probably why so advice if you have iPhone 5c or earlier be cautious when you buy it                 Amazing

The battles are frequently paused by a bug This bug makes it impossible to unpause the battle The further you progress the more prevalent the issue becomes I got it for the first time at the prison Now at the Temple of the Ancients I cannot even progress to the next save point because of it Dont waste your money     Broken Unplayable
