Fliq Notes

The update has messed everything up I can no longer use the app in landscape and it keeps crashing Dont bother with this app its useless now     FIX THE BUGS

For the people saying u cant create new categories on the update u can Its just not the same button anymore              Good

Recently I fractured my elbow and I will be in a splintsling for a while Unfortunately I injured the same arm that I write with and I am not allowed to write until my elbow heals Ive been taking my ipod and a keyboard to school to use to take notes and do homework and i was looking for a simple easy to use notes app that I could organize by subject Fliq notes does just that I havent tried any of the emailing notes or using Fliq notes with other users or anything my school doesnt have wifi but Fliq notes is perfect for simply allowing me to take notes and sort my notes by subject Fairly easy to use great app                 Excellent

After the OS 421 update you can no longer create new categories Other than that it works quite well to organize my information So please fix the bugs from 421 update and Id gladly give it a higher rating     No new categories

To use this free app you need to buy the Missing Sync for Mac DONT Its so poorly designed its almost unbelievable Note every function of The Missing Sync can be obtained for free elsewhere so the only purpose would be user friendliness To put it simply Ive never seen an application in my entire life that is as bad as the Missing Sync Ever Heres just one of the many many frustrations The voicemail sync stores the voicemails with no date no time no caller name out of order The only thing it shows is the callers telephone number and theyre in random order It frequently duplicates voicemails too When you play back a voicemail you cant jump around to specific points You have to play the entire message from beginning to end Etc Etc Etc STAY AWAY     Unbelievably poor design

The worst shortcoming of this notesaving app is that a search only takes you to the top of the note with the search term in it if its a long note youll have to scroll scroll scroll and find it yourself The UI is difficult to use and there are no nested folders allowed so long lists build up making the navigation harder This app is supposed to sync with MarkSpace Notebook on the Mac using Missing Sync for iPhone a 25 app But it frequently doesnt sync Synching sometimes accidentally duplicates one and sometimes many notes rather than synching them and when there are duplicate notes synching will fail If you can figure out how to read the sync log you can fix this manually Worse sometimes some Mac system syncchecking function sends up an alert about discrepancies between a Fliq note and the Mac version of the note a problem that Missing Sync has created or not corrected this alert forces you to choose whether the Mac version of the note will overwrite the devices version on next sync or vice versa but it only identifies the note its talking about by some incredibly long ID number that MarkSpace tech support said cant tell you which note is at issue and by the number of bits in each version also no help Tech support said this is Apples fault but the FloqMarkSpace should have been designed so that this cant happen If you never sync with anything and your notes are all very short this app would be adequate If you sync Id look for something else        Flawed but works sometimes

I use this app every day and it is the best app I have I love to be able to write in it and it be password protected                 Best app Ive ever had

Type out a bunch of stuff press done app crashes work is lost     Consistently crashes

After I did the latest upgrade on my iPhone I noticed the New Category feature isnt working It lets you enter a Title and choose a Color Theme but does not provide a Back button after you are done making your selection Anyone else having this problem              New Categories

I love this app and use it almost everyday Its interface is really easy to use I use it more as a note taking app and personal journal rather than a note sharing app but it works great all the same Definitely get fliq notes              Great app

I love this app for so many reasons but since the past update I cant add any more new categories My old categories are filling up and Im getting a little annoyed Please fix this and I will gladly raise the rating to 5 stars Thanks              Great but one problem

Great app to keep any kinds of notes You can organize it by date categoriesyou can also put a password on it so nobody but you can open it Good for writing secrets n stuff lol                 Great app

I have been using Fliq Notes for a few months It solves my needs I prefer it to the Notes app because you can have a better organization of your Notes with Categories Note that you need to buy MarkSpace MissingSync for iPhone to sync with your computer This has worked great for me because before I had an iPhone I had a Treo and I used MissingSync for Palm so the transfer was seamless and the same database on my Mac was transferred to my iPhone I hope that there is an update soon for iOS4 that is compatible with multitasking It takes a few seconds to launch the application and it does not remember which note nor at which position I was when I switch apps so sometimes this can be annoying              Best text app for me

I am very unsatisfied with this application for the simply fact that when i updated my fliq notes on my iphone all my previous notes were erased luckily i had an ipod which had not been upgraded so i was able to copy all my notes One thing i did like about this app is the password option which came in handy when writing notes i did not everyone to have access        Updating erases old notes

If you want to sync notes between your ipod and your pc you must purchase another app     Not Free if you want to Sync

Stinks that the other fliq user must have the app up and running to receive a fliq just frigging text em        Fliq requires extra work

Watch out I naively upgraded my iPod Touch to iOS 4 yeah I should have thought first and I found that Fliq Notes is pretty much dead in the water it launches but it takes forever to respond to anything if it responds at all A warning from MarkSpace sure would have been nice but I should have had more sense              v 202 fails in iOS 4

I replaced the notes that came on my iPod with this app so much better easier to organize and much more useful Highly recommend           extremely handy app

Worked great until the last update Now I cant type with my phone sideways Please fix this Other wise its a five star I use it for all kinds of notes              Needs little fix

I liked this app a lot I had it on both my iPad and my iPhone But it has stopped working on my iPad When I open it up it is frozen and stays frozen It is completely unresponsive to any screen taps whatsoever Please fix this I really liked this app and would like to use it the way I used to Ill change my rating if and when I can use it on my iPad again        No good on iPad

May or may not find and sync with a computer which you have successfully paired this app with Totally unreliable in this aspect When it does sync it may or may not sync as expected create dups or not etc Why dont you charge for it and hire some developers who can fix it Has not been updated in over a year since September 2010 Avoid there are better choices     Constantly fails to find computer on network

Does what its suppose to do Has helped me organize my personal stuff and provides a much better interface than regular notes T h u m b s U P              Love it

There are no probs with this app its great Way better than default notes on iPod or iPhone                 I love this amazing app

This app appeared to offer a great solution when I purchased it in December last year It was able to sync with Entourage Notes then but the sync function no longer works The developers web site offers no solution their suggested fixes restarting etc do not make any difference Wait until they fix it     Do Not Buy Now

This allows you to send a note basically send a note instead of an email duplicating what you already can do if you can copy and paste your note in an email but does allow you to sync your notes to your computer but advertises an upgrade that does So youre not getting anything with this just an advertising ploy to get you to buy their real utility     Worthless App

Ive had this app for years started with my Palm and now have an iPhone and iPad doesnt want to sync wout duplicating and sometimes triplicating Ive tried contacting support and Im lucky to get a reply back from them in 48 hours Very frustrating when it used to be good Just dont understand why a sync cant be based on most recent date that the note has been edited        agree aint what it used to be

gud for school but has a few bugs could be alot better wit a few more ops              its wat i needed

This could have been a great app if it actually allowed one to make categories instead of just adding the appearance that you can Fake feature     Cant make categories

The support is useless When will people learn that once in a great while they must answer a phone to help a customer Like most losers they throw out gobs of useless info and call it support Its a waste of time     Dont bother with this product

I tried to like this app I really did I must have reinstalled it on the PC a dozen times But its just plain buggy and unreliable Sometimes it syncs but most of the time it times out trying to Sync And once it has timed out NOTHING but a reboot will get any of the Mark Space products to work again UPDATE after months of repeatedly contacting support about the inability to sync between Win7 and IPhone 4 they finally said we know it doesnt work we will email you when we get it working and No you cant have a refund That was 3 months ago and still no fix These must be about the most incompetent coders on the planet     I tried I really did

I really enjoy this app when it doesnt crash or have trouble Fliqing notes to other people My suggestions would be to fix the bugs add more color selection to the categories and to make users able to change the color of the overall app           Few bugs

Id give it 5 if it made categories           Fix Bug

This App is wonderful for one who is an avid writer such as myself I have dozens of files on this App with some reaching up to 18000 words and I still havent found any problems with it The password protections makes me feel safe and assures me that I dont have to worry about nosy friends or family looking through my iPod I love being able to have and easy to read font of my choice and bing able to write in landscape which some of the other apps wouldnt allow me to do And when I want to save a story to my flashdrive sending it in email is amazingly easy and fast I havent had a single problem with this app so far I know that if I had to Id be willing to pay for this app without any hesitation                 A

Do not under any circumstances buy download or use this app It is worthless Not only is it difficult to get all your info off your Palm to computer and then back to your iPhone it takes almost two minutes to even access your notes while it slowly boots up I work in an OR and I dont have time to wait around while it goes through its horrendous boot up I wish I had never purchased it now I have to figure out how to get all these notes into another application Way way over priced     dmacanesthesia

I really like the ability to sort out my notes in this app a much better app than the standard Notes However theres a glitch that now occurs for me when I use the sideways keyboard When I rotate my iPod the writing moves up and off the screen and not only can I not see it but it wont let me scroll the letters back down           Versatile but 21 has a glitch

Ive been a customer of MarkSpace for over four years There quality between releases has been problematic mostly problems with OSX DB and synching The last two releases have all but dragged me to a stand still Not only have I been unable to synch for months often this iPhone app crashes If I spend ten minutes drafting a note the last thing anyone needs is for it to crash and force you to do it again Im going to migrate my data to a new solution as this one ranges from soso to bad     Find something else

Good but could you please make it not flash that stupid your wifi is off message on startup especially because I havent even set it up to use wifi so why is it warning me about a feature I dont use           Good but

Since I wrote the review below I tried customer service one more time because I couldnt find anything else with the same features Ive been back and forth with them for maybe a month trying what they suggested Finally they narrowed the problem down to there probably being a note with non English characters Sure enough there was one wouldnt have noticed if I hadnt been looking for it but cleaned up the corrupted characters and things have been fine since one caution seems that any email to them with an attachment wont be delivered So of you want to send something ask for them to send you their drop box link previous Ive used Markspace products since Missing Synch for the Palm Ive found flow notes very useful but there have always been occasional synch problems Usually resulting in two copies of all the notes on both devices Support used to be pretty good too Now not so much The last update was a pain to install I had to delete twice I cannot now get any notes to go from the iPhone to the Mac Im going to have to say goodbye to this app even though transferring hundreds of notes wont be fun or easy           Sadly not what it was UPDATE
