Floods are the most costly and devastating natural disasters in the U.S. and most homeowners insurance does not cover them. A few flood facts from FEMA: + 2 feet of water can be enough to lift a ...
This is great app for referencing the latest data available from FEMA In terms of the first reviews concern about accuracy the app references the latest published MAPPED Floodplain data from FEMA and not necessarily every piece of land that can get wet during a particular flood event One great point though you should always reference a professional to determine what areas reside within a Floodplain This app is a great first step in determining flood prone regions Looking forward to upcoming improvements to this very easy to use and effective app User

No longer works since updating to iOS7 on iPhone 4 Doesnt work with 5s either Use to work
A snail could load faster No documentation no clue what the choices are Slow
Does not work Keeps crashing
The information and searchability are truly amazing But I need a perfect signal and have to wait a long time for it all to come in I still like it Still worth 2 but I wait a lot and frequently cannot use it at all I am a homebuyer looking in a coastal city where the flood zones create complex and nonintuitive patterns Amazing info on a sluggish app
This is the perfect app for those like me who are challenging FEMA about their floodplain status or simply finding out about the possibility of your home flooding The app also can connect you to several expert sites such as FEMA and Floodsmartgov where you can get expert advise about your flood situation There are also insurance reports available for your area It offers a lot of information about your home location including if it is in a flood plain or not This app actually clued me in that my homes flood status might be changing soon They had the most up to date map that FEMA does not have on their website yet My local government verified this I am also impressed with the support available from Atkins North America engineering They actually helped me interpret a map in my area How many apps offer that Again its a great app Great App
Looks like the developers have abandoned this app What a shame This app is now useless
Crashes within seconds of loading a searched address Unstable
Im too impatient Slow slow slow
UPDATE the developers got back to me they had a server issue and the app runs very well now It is an awesome app the flood info is accurate and reflects recent changes The LOMAs that they show have already helped us market a property successfully I bought the app because I work in real estate and the idea and explanation sounded terrific It was great when I downloaded it but the next time I tried to use it it didnt work Awesome information is up to date
It does not contain accurate information I bought it to assess my risk of flooding in Springfield Massachusetts low risk and to test its accuracy I inputed the addresses of properties in my hometown of Cedar Rapids IA that took a bath in the June 2008 floods The site of the former Cedar Rapids Public Library said low risk despite having lost its entire book collection after taking in about 6 feet of water AND the property is less than 1000 feet from the Cedar River which is prone to flooding If you move the cursor down a couple of blocks to another property that also took a bath it says High Risk and you move the cursor to City Hall which drowned in the flood of 1993 as well as the June 2008 flood is says low risk and it sits on Mays Island which floods routinely I would not risk my property or my familys safety on this app I would consult with a licensed professional insurance agent that specializes in flood risk and insurance The app is a waste of money and time Not very accurate
It was an awesome product 6 months ago I used it daily as a flood inspector Around August or September it began to crash often It is awesome when it works I have an iPhone 4S and I am using iOS 61 Keeps crashing
This tool allows u to create a report for a property in the floodplain while being on the field It is a great tool It would be nice to be able to take an image of the location add additional SFHA coverage for nonmodernized areas and also an export tool of all locations would be nice Overall this is a great tool with tons of potential for field work like CAVS Community Action Visit for communities FEMA and state officials Great job guys love the tool so far Great tool
