Best magazine for the fly tyer                 Love it

This Mag is great very well laid out and helpful but the App is very poor crashes constantly will not down load Must view issues online and the many page are out of order and once again the App crashes The worst part of it you will not get any assistance in trying to fix the problem Dont download the App if you really want the magazine buy the hard copy Needless to say I will not be renewing my subscription to this app I will probably buy the hard copy     Great Mag VERY POOR App

Now It works all issues downloadable in issue table of contents works multiple retrieve works good job previous Some downloads wont start unless you go to the preview mode first After downloading more than 4 issues none will open on line or locally The only transition is to a grey screen in that case All require internet access after download Otherwise an error message about requiring access appears even after download Issues are 82 pages long but sometimes the progress bar will show 164 items to download and will stop at 156 or go to 164 and remain on screen Some downloads wont engage just the spinning icon If you want access to the issue on line there is a quick screen with a check box and a delete icon if you press the icon immediately then the issue will load else its back to the grey screen                 Finally it works

I paid for a year long subscription and every time I download an issue I can read it one time then it crashes and I have to delete and restore every download plenty of better fly fishing magazine apps for the same price     Constant crashing

The mag is great but the app is awful Half of the issues I downloaded freeze and dont work I contacted customer support and after a week they still havent gotten back to me They took my money and I didnt get the product Thats called theft I went through Apple and eventually got a refund Terrible support     Dont waste your money Trust me

Im using the app on a 1st gen iPad This app crashes often when Im opening it I have had to reinstall it several times and subsequently reinstall all my mags Its hung several times while downloading the mags I love the content just am very disappointed in the app Its reflecting poorly on an otherwise good company     Unstable app

So if you subscribe to the printed magazine you have to subscribe again to the digital edition Dont think so No double dipping into my credit card     Double Dipping

Issues you purchase are not viewable and tech support is non existent Thank goodness iTunes issues refunds Dont waste your time or money     Waste of money and time

The September 2012 app update was overdue but seems so far to have addressed all platform problems Now the excellent magazine content downloads stays in my iPad and is slick to retrieve and read                 Problems seem fixed

Ive read this magazine for years but it is a totally different experience on and Apple iPad The clarity is excellent and you can really zoom in to see the fly patterns All the issues are right at your finger tips stored on the iPad I have not had any issues with the app on my Apple iPad The clarity is remarkable and right there when you want it No hunting for the amazing anymore                 Excellent Publication

Afraid I have to agree with the last post This app is buggy and a bit of a POS I love the rag Stick with the paper version or perhaps subscribe at the Fly Tyer website But this app should be avoided I previewed the summer 2011 issue and decided to buy My 3 dollar purchase only bought me the first six pages Nothing else I contacted Fly Tyer and they were no help They said Id have to take it up with iTunes Perhaps thats true but they are the ones that stand to lose the most I would have bought every issue had it worked as it should Oh well Ill keep tying flies without them     Great rag soso app

Slow and problems with downloads When I purchased a new ipad it wont let me download editions I have already paid for There is no help to contact them to tell them of my problems     Bad app

I read every issue of this magazine Very informative lots of great info fly tying patterns Highly recommend it to both the beginner and the fly fishing or tying veteran                 Great fly fishing and tying magazine

I can honestly only give a single star rating due to the horribly poor app I lost my ability to log in this past March of 2012 and have only been able to resolve the issue today August 21 2012 I had completely given up on the mag and only tried one more time after receiving a renewal notice The content of the mag is good but the app and follow through of customer service completely discredits any positives for the mag     Flytyer Mag Rating

I have subscribed to Fly Tyer in print form for years Thought Id try the eversion Love it Double tap a pic for zooming in on details of patterns Havent experienced any glitches Love the convenience of multiple issues in the palm of my hand                 Fantastic

I purchased the Spring 2014 issue and have not been able to read it Everytime I choose the download option A subscription purchase confirmation box appears I have been through the cycle 3 times before I gave up     Rip Off

The app requires connection to the internet to read the magazines so no reading them while offline Ive written to customer support twice to resolve this issue and received no response     no offline ability and no customer support

Short story The content of Fly Tyer magazine is excellent with content that makes me a better more knowledgable tyer However this app is unreliable It gives you two options for reading the magazine downloading or viewing online If I download issues I will usually open them to a grey screen and a frozen app If the issue does open I usually only get the one read before I get the grey screen The grey screen will persist until the app times out or I force quit it When the app is usable again the issue that crashed will have a spinning wheel over it and will be inaccessible Being the sporting kind I said whatever Ill use the view online option While the issues do reliably open they seem to be on a shutdown timer If I use them for about five minutes I havent actually timed it but I bet its pretty consistent the app just crashes Return to the app and I have to go back a find my placeonly to have it crash again I have several times tried to delete and reinstall the app only to have the problems persist Would love to read this magazine but the app seems determined to keep me out        Great content terrible app

Terribly hard to purchase digital versions I WANT to buy them by it wont let me Keeps showing 0 and no purchase options Pull down the app if no longer supported     Terrible online purchase option

After every update of the App I can no longer signin and have to contact customer support which takes 34 emails over the same number of days to resolve A 1 year subscription through Apple is 1999 Fly Tyer is now using Adobe Digital Publisher and charging 1195 a year Looks like they are messing up the Apple subscriptions to get people to switch I I will not renew nor will I subscribe to the Adobe DPS     Cant Signin

Love the mag however I am having a hard time downloading past paid for issues Please fix this issue Your mag is fantastic Your download interface notsomuch              iPad user

I made the mistake of buying the only issue that is available for purchase It only downloaded 6 pages Then it when I reloaded the app it didnt recognize the purchase at all Dont buy anything from this app What a shame they wont fix it I have contacted them directly and they asked for my mailing address I dont have any idea what that has to do with an app And now a week has gone by and no one has gotten back to me I wouldnt hold my breath     FIX THIS NOW

I have been dealing with an account subscription corruption issue since October I cant download issues and customer support has offered no solutions other than to wait until the app gets fixed Great magazine too bad they didnt shop around for a decent app provider     Great mag horrible app

I have been a subscriber to the magazine since 2000 and have copies back to 1995 At one time I considered this magazine the pinnacle of Fly tying magazines It all changed for me when they changed the binding sometime between 2011 and 2008 However you want to say it but the Electronic IOS or iPad version is just downright difficult to get a handle on On the surface it appears that the only thing working is the input function with no output Said plainly buying subscriptions works but the receiving whether electronic or print not so much     Jim Jordan

I had a ton of issues but lost them all with iOS 8 They back dated some of the issues but not all Will stick with the paper mags from now on     Great mag poor app

Worst ereader application First my subscription was corrupted and could not download any magazines now the app has lost all my previous purchases tech support is incompetent nothing good to say stick with the print version     horribly bad

Just did the update and lost all the archive issues My subscription was 2 years plus all back issues The update deleted all the issues When I went to restore purchases three were available for download the rest were 299 Not happy Please fix     Update
