I ve tried literally every macOS download manager available and I can say without hesitation that Folx is the best of them all by a wide margin The UI blows everything else out of the water which isn t mission critical but is certainly very nice But the real good stuff is the functionality I do a lot of media work and I ve found it invaluable for downloading large video files on a somewhat spotty connection There s a built in account manager that allows you to keep the credentials for a myriad of sites and servers both personal and professional services which greatly simplifies the process other download managers either don t have this feature or it s much more cumbersome The ability to set rules to auto tag and filter downloads is the icing on top it saves an immense amount of time to be able to quickly and easily zero in on a particular file by type tag etc Not to mention the ability to pass that metadata onto other apps like Hazel for more complex post processing If you re looking for a great DM that integrates closely and well with both macOS and the whole spectrum of browsers Folx is the one you want                     Best In Class macOS Download Manager marlowe310

I previously used YazSoft s SpeedDownload and was really bummed when they discontinued it I tried living for about a year without one and finally was frustrated enough with Safari s built in downloader to look for another I tried out three in total and Folx Go is the winner Easy to set up with Safari Pausing and resuming downloads works perfectly and is a must have since I go on and off VPN throughought the day Fine grained speed throttling control easy to dial back the download speed if you suddently need all most bandwidth available for say watching Netflix Bandwidth activity a great little graphical window showing what s going on                     A great easy to use download manager millifoo

first of all it s download speed of you used idm on windows before you ll clearly notice the difference when you want to donwload something that has multi parts if you highligh all links and select Download selected with Folx nothing will happen so you have to download each part separately and something that was really weird I just quit the app and when I opened it again all of my download list was gone it happens 2 times so I had to restart a couple of times until the download list restored also fo scheduling downloads there s just a table that you can choose only hours to start and end not minutes I mean if you want to start your download at 1 30am it s not possible you have to set the schedule to 1 or 2 and there wasn t any option to select what to do after the schedule time is over like turning off your system or opening an specific app also the ui for download window is really not good it s a real pain when I want to start download and it happen a couple of times that when I started downloading something the app just downloaded an HTML page that was really ridiculos I am really not happy with purchasing this app but maybe the developer can make it better untill then you can have my 1 star     Not good at all MohsenKhakbiz
