I have searched for simple download manager for Mac and currently Folx is the best solution which I have found It allows to schedule the downloads split them into multiple threads and it keeps the download tasks in the list I use it almost everyday to catch the links from Chrome and organize my downloads Note that the AppStore version of Folx GO doesn t download from torrents and it can t download embedded videos However as a downloader for usual files it is the best app                     Simple downloader for general tasks James 47

When I tried the non App store version of this application it seemed to work well enough for what I needed However when I went to purchase it the purchase page offered a lifetime updates for 9 95 option that when added to my cart was actually 14 95 Yeah They love their customers so much they want to swindle an extra 5 out of anyone who isn t paying attention I d really recommend trying to find a company that is honest and straightforward in their business and doesn t try to take advantage of customers as a way to make a quick buck     Company is untrustworthy and will try to trick you out of your money plambert

I ve been using Folx Go PRo for over a month now and I ve been downloading different files over WiFi LTE experimented with stopping and restarting re arranging the queue while download is in progress and other kinds of goofing around with it It s reliable and I m happy with it The pro version uses your mac automation program so if you create a bunch of tasks and then close the app for some reason it will automatically open up the application when the scheduled time arrives I have had dead connection a couple of times due to a unique VPN configuration that I have and when there is no connection at all sometimes the app crashes and restarts Another point when you create a download task and then you change your mind and want to rename the output file it won t let you do that It s not a bug probably by design but it d be nice to have that feature enabling you to edit a task while it hasn t started yet I d recommend the pro version if you ve got massive downloads and your internet pricing is more economical at unique intervals such as after 6pm or after midnight etc the scheduler comes in very handy                     Excellent Downloader d02e

Crashes constantly Cannot seem to actually scrape pages no matter the browser tried Safari Chrome Firefox Vivaldi all with the appropriate extensions installed it fails to see anything but javascript files on any page Including pages that don t have javascript because I made them to test the theory that it isn t actually polling when it runs It s not Tried reinstalling extensions tried reinstalling Folx Go tried reinstalling both and browsers at the same time To add insult to injury a file that had successfully downloaded was attempted to be resumed after a crash However the remote file was no longer there replaced with a 404 page Now that PDF has been changed to the contents of the 404 page with the name of the PDF Absolutely horrible     Garbage Kaizoku02

I used to use SpeedDownload and was bummed when they went out of business Just on a whim I searched around for a replacment tonight while watching a really slow download of Ubuntu and decided to take a chance on this My main interest was the spliiting the download into multiple segments or sessions It tricks the server into thinking they re 10 different people downloading thus using more bandwidth Well let me tell you this thing rocks I had 8 more minutes in my Safari download was originally 40 minutes and just for fun used the same link and started it downloading in this program and it took all of 5 minutes It actually finished BEFORE the one that was 30 minutes into the download still So from this very small limited test I would say this thing is what I was missing Just think of all the time something like this can save if you have a good internet connection I have 100 mbps down Well worth the price even if I had paid for all of the pro features But I really only wanted the one so it was even cheaper This is probably not as full featured and detailed as SpeedDownload was That seemed almost more of a advanced user program but this is simpler to use for most I m sure Stop reading this review and download it now                     Holy crap this works great TommyBoyChicago

I used this app back tp 2011 firstly on OSX86 now in 2015 with my MPB 2015 the app looks very bad and its function is lost i which i could use the same solid old version on my MBP         very bad browser integration and link catching Hammoadel

It kind of concerns me when there is no clarity as to differences between Eltima s web site and the App Store The App Store has GO and GO while the web site has plain FOLX Further the versions numbers are different I can see if a firm wants to identify the App Store version from the web site versions but at least indicate such Also I had removed it because I had some problems I thought I d try it agian and even though I paid the my v4 PRO serial number does not work Sigh         Can t keep names and versions straight tlmurray

I just updated to OS X 10 10 4 and FOLX Go to version 4 2 They don t seem to work to well together I was really looking forward to the Tags intergration but instead I got a frozen application that I had to Force Quit and it not remembering my pro settings after the Force Quits Please update soon so Folx Go will work with 10 10 4 Thanks     4 2 Headaches mweger
