Much better than FileZilla In this app you can edit delete copy and do a lot of thing thought FTP and WebDAV files Happy to have it                     Very Easy and Reliable RodGian
I like the functionality of Forklift in theory but in practice it doesn t work on Sierra It freezes up the entire computer I have to force quit Forklift in order to use my computer That defeats the purpose of this tool I am very disappointed It would have been great other then that         Freezes up all other programs in Sierra RaePerry22
Seriously free Forklift 2 and BinaryNights deserves some love Thanks to BinaryNights for making Forklift 2 available for FREE When I want need a high performance FTP application I use Yummy FTP Pro And I pay for that without hesitation or regret If Forklift 2 isn t a self actualized FTP client and file manager that represents the full possibilities of the genre in the most elegant way possible I still find it useful Mostly I use Forklift to sync folders and USB drives For that kind of task Forklift functions like a user friendly version of rsync Less frequently I use Forklift to view hidden files and folders I find that more convenient than changing Finder settings to do the same thing Forklift is also a secondary FTP client for me and I have used it that way without problems Compared to something like Filezilla it looks more like a super model than outdated It is quite a versatile application that can be a little complicated to understand but you don t have to understand everything to find useful ways of putting it to work                 Free Forklift 2 Deserves Some Love 3Files
A long time Transmit user my older version wouldn t work when I upgraded to El Capitan Being a struggling aka poor web developer shelling out 35 just to sling files back forth to my web host seemed a bit ridiculous I downloaded Forklift entered my host name user name password and BINGO I was right back in an easy to use drag drop interface just like Transmit I can save Favorites to instantly get to directories I m working on and really it couldn t be easier for basic website creation I still use WordPress for full fledged websites but often I just need a basic framework with an index html file and some graphics Forklift is so far so good and SO FREE Thanks BinaryNights                     Need FTP Forget Transmit at 35 Forklift will FTP for FREE iiiiMac
I want my money back Couldnt connect to the FTP sites that I could with similar products I saw reviews elsewhere that said Forklift was great and at 20 bucks it better be A waste of money and I hope Apple see s this and gives me my refund DONT BUY THIS     DONT BUY THIS songofdavid
I am on late 2015 iMAC with 32 gigs of ram trying to copy some raw files between drives now and forklift manages to use all available ram within 5 minutes of starting the copy process It often doesn t want to         Huge Memory Leaks xDrogosx
This app has about all the features you d really need in a file manager The problem is that it feels dated and the the user interface is very clumsy compared to what I m used to on other platforms like Altap Salamander for Windows and Krusader for Linux KDE I ve been using this tool for quite a few months and have never really gotten a feel for it like others For instance instead of clicking a star to open one of the directory panels into a page why not make it a drop down with font type set to 9pt For this menu make folders default to collapsed so I can stuff all my dozens of bookmarks into this nice small space That said this tool does what it claims and works fine             Functional reliable but clumsy design showing age Rabitguy
Using it many years The best in it s class Excellent peace of software Keep up good work                     The best app ever made by humanity SupportHero
Forklift once was the best on the market But it seems it can t keep up with the times and demands of the new systems It became significantly unstable when working with the big amounts of files or big single files Not saying about lack of stability under El Capitan and most of all Sierra Becoming free looks like the last effort to promote the dying product Maybe the next version will save the whale will see     Free last breath of the dying legend Alex.C.E
Not user friendly bad interface and crashes all the time         Don t like at all JennyBredst
I got InvalidRequest The authorization mechanism you have provided is not supported Please use AWS4 HMAC SHA256 error s3 authorization ver 4 not support yet             does not support s3 on new regions clichedmoog
Forklift used to be great almost best in class Unfortunately this version 2 x does not work with El Crapitan spontaneous freezes and kernel crashes while moving data to from remote network SMB shares The best you can do is wait until version 3 fixes all stability problems If you need a file manager right now and can t wait there are two or three better options available on the App Store It pains me to see this slump in performance because I was a die hard user since the very begining On the other hand a lot of the development issues are part of the general misery brought by El Crapitan         Used to be great now just meh the sheep are speaking
In fairness I needed it to transfer an extremely large file It ran great for a while and then died every time due to timeouts Doesn t seem to handle slowdowns or timeouts very gracefully No settings for retries retry delay or timeout length It just gives an error and then quits Resuming a failed upload is also not an option I think I just paid to test the software         Didn t work as well for me for AWS S3 GreatOracle
A great overall app The ability to select objects in S3 using RegEx is really invaluable if you have thousands of objects with the same prefix No more deleting them one by one                     RegEx search is icing on the cake tomjab
I initially purchased this app just to use it as my FTP SFTP client It s great for that purpose but also great for most file management tasks you can think of Symlinking archiving renaming organizing into groups etc There s a lot of power in this app that makes it an excellent alternative to Finder which I didn t even realize I was looking for Highly recommended                     Excellent replacement to Finder runs smoothly on El Capitan neurotiscientist
I have been using this file manager for over 4 years now I must say I love it The favorites workflows are simply amazing when you are working on multiple projects Recently decided to contact support they responded very fast I needed the non appstore version for Disklets and privileged file operations they provided me with a serial for the non appstore version Support response time is very fast and they solved my issue Highly recommend this app                     Been using on production machine excellent wingsline
Version 2 6 6 fixes the hang in startup in El Capitan Linking it once again Thx for the update                     Back to All Good trikayaker
Not working Freezing     needs compatibility with El Capitan TrappedBruhl
Laggy and unresponsive on El Capitan to the point of being unusable Very disappointing as this was previously a very solid App     Broken on El Capitan jeremyoatmeal
This application locks up my Mac everytime I try to open it It does not gracefully handle endpoint failures and apparantly ignores timeouts and keeps trying I suggenst saving your money and getting something else I FULLY REGRET PURCHASING THIS APPLICATION iMac core i7 Quad processor with 16GB ram using Yosemite fully updated and patched I must add the caveat that I have to run Microsoft Outlook Lynk for Mac on this system and it does things the mac shouldn t allow just saying I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK I WANT MY MOPNEY BACK     Looks Pretty that s it dwclogic
Great software and excellent support Got a response in 1 hour with El Capitan workaround push the ESC key if your window hangs in el capitan Permanent fix is coming shortly folks                     Lovin it for over a year kontrabass
I too saw the non responsive window after installing El Cap Solution that fixed it for me 1 In ForkLift Preferences General Uncheck Restore tabs on startup 2 Force quit ForkLift and it works again                 Workaround for El Capitan hang keithhuss
Rock solid ftp app that canalso be used as a wicked fast finder replacement                     Excellent Corvi
I ve been using ForkLift for a few years now and all I can say is that I highly recommend it It does the job and it does it right Easy to set up and easy to use for my web design work for clients Thank you dev team                     Flawless and straightforward Irvghady
The best and fastest FTP client I have found for Mac I have been looking for a dual pane FTP client for quite some time I have known about Forklift for years and I have even tried it once without really getting to know it That s because the app looks limited in functionality It turns out it s the opposite In true Apple design fashion the power functions are hidden from view I love that it makes the app more elegant but it requires a few extra minutes of playing around with the app and going over the help file One reviewer complained that there was no way to permanently keep the remote server in the right pane and the local folder in the left Each time you log in to a remote site you have to manually switch panes But after spending some time with the help file I realized that you can create a Workspace for every login Open the Favorites pane and create a new login Login to your remote server Decide in which pane you want the remote server to appear In the local pane brows to the folder where you have your work files Under the Favorites dropdown menu select Save Workspace Name it and it will appear in the sidebar Next time you want to login to your remote server just click the button in the sidebar you are automatically logged in and the panes will adjust to your preferred configuration I bought it as an FTP client but I have also found it to be an exceptional file browser I wish I had bought Forklift sooner Highly recommended                     A Gem runningupthehill
I have used this app for a long time and never needed help until recently The app can take a very long time to update the remote files and at times even loses track of files you have open You think you saved it and in fact it wasn t This is a real problem when you code for 100 hours a week I reached out to support several times and each request was ignored by the developer No response at all Buyer beware         Issues and abysmal support firmpos
I was looking for a solid FTP app and found this one after some research it had everything I needed except for one feature that I was able to get resolved with the developer The support was fast and friendly Very fast syncing which was one of my main reason to purchase                     Very good FTP Mark Coder
Very close to a competing product with a vehicle based logo that I used before upgrading OSes a few years ago It s been a stable reliable app for day to day uploading and I ve been happy to give it 5 stars except for one design flaw that I has caught me out twice now My one complaint is that you can t set the pane order to default to local on the left remote on the right every time you open it they switch back to remote on the left You can switch the panes after opening the app but it doesn t remember your settings after closing it If they fixed this it d be a solid 5 star app                 Great but needs more preferences Nilloc
The directory listing is incorrect for IBM AIX Version 5 in telnet the directory is drwxr xr x 4 4096 Jun 25 19 55 public html But in forklift it is 25 19 55 public html I cannot enter that directory         Does not work with AIX v 5 MuzakD
