Free Metal Detector

When I put it up to the car it didnt go over halfway so to me its a rip off     Dosnt really work

Keeps crashing on 5s     Worthless

Forgot my stud finder at the office Figured theres an app for that and sure enough there is Used it to find metal studs behind dry wall and thats what it did Though not as good as a real stud finder since it doesnt detect the edges like a true stud finder but it is definitely better then trusting the knock on wall trick              Worked For Me iPhone 4s 501b

This app works splendidly for my iPhone 4 I have found that the area of my iPhone which detects metal is the area where the status bar is Certain items such as the metal body of a Zebra M301 mechanical pencil takes patience and aligning it just right to get a signal also the sensitivity slider switch is useful It would be nice to disable ads by an inapp purchase              Great Affordable App

Although some of the reviews give high marks to this app it didnt work for me Unlike a true stud finder it can only sense nails and not the stud itself For some reason it found very few nails for me Maybe its better used for really finding metal and use as stud finder is secondary        Did not help me

This app only works for large metal objects doesnt work to find studs I put the iPhone right on top of a nail in a stud and it didnt show any difference     Weekend carpenter

Tested it against a real hardware stud finder Worked accurately in our office I can assume that every persons situation can be different considering other magnetic interferences But we saw positive actual feedback Only wish is that whatever sensitivity you choose that you can see the number level while selecting your sensitivity That way you can accurately set it for what you are sensing              We tested it

Im at my sons house last night to help him with a TV wall mount While were trying to position the wall bracket I asked if he had a stud finder No was the response So I pull out my iPhone and head to the App Store certain that this would be the time that Id find out that there is actually NOT an app for that To my surprise there were several Some paid but a few free too After checking out app descriptions and some of the reviews I downloaded Metal Detector It worked great in spite of my doubt about the iPhones ability to find something solid to secure the bracket for the TV IT WORKED GREAT I like the density scale my term that moved into the red going across a stud I gained some confidence in its accuracy as it detected 3 studs 16 apart a standard for construction We got the bracket up and TV mounted without any problems And my license plate APP4THT remains accurate                 Sweet

A little less useful than a dead leaf in finding anything but you feeling dumb by downloading it     A joke

Had to locate property boundary markers placed years ago This app worked perfectly I knew the general area but the app alarmed right over the spot Dug down through a little grass and soil and the boundary markers are once again visible Great job and easy to use                 Worked Like A Charm

When I put it near a metal object it is high but when I put it near a non metal object it still is high        Not so good
