FUJIFILM Camera Remote

Its nice to able see thru my phone from camera but i tried to click shutter but it doesnt work at all Help           Nice but doesnt work

Update 92815 This used to work great but seems the update may have broken it I cannot connect now Maybe because It defaults to the wrong iPhone number in the app part of the connection process I tried editing the iPhone number and it still wont connect Deleted and Reinstalled the app but that didnt help either Original review Use this with my XT10 to grab photos off the camera to view on my phone or post to social media when Im out and about Works great           Was Great with XT10 until 92815 update

Fujifilm isnt actively improving or updating their apps for iOS I will no longer purchase their products     Fujifilm is lazy and cheap

I can connect once in a while and when I do it only transfers a couple of the images before it crashes I would be very angry if I had paid for this app     Silly

I found this app to be infuriating to use with my X100T Coming from the Canon and Nikon world I shoot everything in raw as most serious photographers would This app will not allow you to view and download raw images on your smartphone The app gives an uninformative no file to receive error if you dont have any jpegs on your card Having to fiddle with the incamera raw converter beforehand is unacceptable in terms of ease of use which the X100 series is all about Both the Canon and Nikon wifi tethering apps allow you to view and downloadconvert raws directly from the app so I had every expectation that this one should do the same Please get your act together Fujifilm     Inconvenience at its best

There are so many wonderful reviews about Fuji and their embrace of technology so I decided to spend 1000 and buy XE2 For me big thing was ability to control the camera remotely as this would give me a chance to photograph my children without disruptions Despite numerous tries and after upgrading camera software I still find app cumbersome with their requirements for dedicated WiFi connectivity and at the end failing to work I can not get the app to work Very disappointing     False advertisement

Remote controls connecting via WiFi and transferring photos etc all works well for me I wish I didnt have to switch my WiFi to the Fuji as a temporary hotspot but that is really the only inconvenience with this App                 Works for me with my XT1

I have a FINEPIX S9950W and it took me about 45 seconds to connect my phone to the camera I cant say enough about this APP Its amazing You can control the zoom and flash Shows camera battery level and memory Shows the live picture from the camera and the obvious shutter button Lots of other features to explore Definitely my favorite App                 THIS IS AWESOME

Even with iOS 8 my new x100t works perfectly with this app I was able to use the remote feature to take a self portrait and love being able to see the focus and framing in real time as well as refocusing using the touch screen I do wish I didnt have to disconnect and then reconnect in browse mode in order to then transfer the photos but once I did there were no issues One small quirk the app wont let you download movies from receive mode but you can from browse All in all its a great companion app to this fantastic camera              Works perfectly with x100t

Took 2 tries to connect and pics transferred with no issues Love that I can send them straight to my phone since I am awful about uploading pics to my computer                 Worked great

Im updating my latest review from one star because I finally figured out how to make this work After playing around with many of the settings I finally discovered that when the camera is on the high performance mode versus the battery saving mode the WiFi functionality will finally work with the iPhone This is great to finally figure out and at least makes the application functional for me where is before I couldnt even get the camera to connect properly           Works iphone6 w 311 xt1 firmware

I tried to use this app when I first got my XT1 6 months ago and the camera and my iPhone wouldnt pair Ditto with OS 8 This app is totally worthless Fujifilm you need to get a clue     Useless TOTALLY

After firmware body upgrade to version 3 app works perfectly Takes 3 min for an upgrade                 Remote control app works perfectly

I can connect my XT1 and use the remote shutter release feature but cannot use the receive feature Constantly disconnects And why is it that when you want to use a different function like switch from Remote Control to Receive that it automatically disconnects the iPadPhone from the wifi network Its a real pain to have to keep going back and forth between the devises wifi settings and the app This app is just not ready for prime time Its an embarrassment that Fuji promotes the wifi features of their cameras but then doesnt give us the support we need to make it useful           Sorta works

I just got the x 100t which Im getting use to but this remote app is pure rubbish It only connects to remote shooting but not to browse camera or receive files Why     Hate it

I use this app with my xt10 and it works really well The remote function and the receive function always work flawlessly and file transfer is pretty quick too I came form Nikon and their app for my d7100 was terrible Connection issues lag and sometimes it didnt even work File transfer was slow at best and often times caused the app to crash This app is refreshingly useful I hated my Nikon app and was thrilled to delete it from my iPhoneiPad No you cant download RAW files or movies to your device but I dont want to put such large files on my phonetablet anyway I am perfectly happy with jpeg only since Im just using them for Instagram or something like that My only wish for this app is being able to use BULB mode Please Fuji give us control in bulb mode This is one of the big reasons why I use the app Shooting at night on a tripod with long shutter using this app is fantasticuntil you need to use bulb mode for longer exposure times This app would be brilliant if you were able to set up a countdown in bulb mode for exposures longer than 30 sec Yes you can buy an electronic shutter release but why spend 2050 when it could probably be easily added to the existing app If you could take the features of the electronic shutter release and add those to the app thatd be awesome Its still a great app thats a must have for your Fuji camera which is why I give the app 5 stars                 Excellent save for one thingbulb mode

I have a first run of the XE2 and was surprised when this app refused to connect and pair my devices I have used it seamlessly with the Fujifilm Camera App for transferring images on the fly for one off edits and concert photography so I knew it should work After messing around for about 10 minutes I realized I needed a Firmware update to 300 I was still on 100 This literally takes 5 minutes and was really easy to fix My problem with the app is that it has a max shutter speed of 30 seconds even in Bulb mode They really need to fix this The main reason for using this app would be long exposure pretty much nothing else Please fix           No Bulb Mode Requires Firmware Update

Cannot use it with my new Fuji XT10 Crashing all the time Remote control works better but Receive never works     Need a huge update

This app doesnt work for me at all I can get the photo receiver app to work just fine but for some reason this app fails to connect Judging by Fujis forums they couldnt care less if their apps are broken for a vast number of users Almost makes me regret buying my XE2     Absolutely terrible

Took me average IT literate five minutes to install app on my iPhone 4 iOS maybe 6 or 7 and after a bit of trial and error connect to my EX2 take pictures and download on my iPhone Dont know what all these negative reviews are about if even I can manage to get the app going on my old and trusted iPhone                 All OK and fun to use

Just like the title says this app works fine for me Im using it with a XT1 wfirmware 310 and an iPad Air 2 w iOS 83 I hope Fujifilm is going to update this sometime soon              Works fine for me

Just bought a X100T and was able to finally get the camera to connect to my iPhone 5s but the files transfer to the phone at way less than full resolution Long side being 1776 pixels instead of the full 4896 I see no menu option to change it nor is it mentioned anywhere in the online user manual that I can see Hopefully theyll address these issues soon        Needs improvement

For a company that obviously puts so much care into its products and customers this app is an embarrassment I can get it to connect to my iPad regularly but when I try to take a photo the app ALWAYS freezes completely and the camera locks up One of the worst apps Ive ever found in the Apple Store Please Fujiyou must be able to do better     Dont waste your time

After pulling my hair out for over an hour while trying to connect with the other Fuji app I read where this one connects easier and does the same thing Finally got my device to connect with this app I still have to be so precise in the order of connecting steps Should be much easier I hate Fuji didnt go the Bluetooth route But still hopeful this one will function easily        Verdict still out

If you are experiencing problems connecting this is what you do Download this app Hit the Wifi button on you supported X series camera Hit the ok button to change This will now allow the proper iphone pairing to work Connect to the fuji wifi via the iphone Go into the fuji app and hit connect                 This is how to make it work

The remote is only good for taking pictures and uploading them to Facebook or YouTube but the bad is the recording video because I cant change the quality on it for some reason it just stays on 640p 43 I want to change it on 1080p or 720p 169 fix that problem           Okay

This app does not connect 100 of the time which makes for a frustrating experience Here is the procedure I took to connect the iPhone 5s and my Fuji XT1 firmware v3 1 Turn on Wifi on XT1 2 Open App on iPhone 3 Turn on wifi on iPhone 4 Go back to App on iPhone and press Connect 5 Confirm connection on XT1 Note that first connection took about 5 minutes as my iPhone had difficulty finding the XT1 wireless I had to manually enter the XT1 wireless network even though my iPhone is set to automatically detect networks To test this I then disconnect by exiting the Camera Remote app on the iPhone and closing it I then went through the steps slightly differently Turn no wifi on XT1 turn on wifi in settings on iPhone to ensure connection to XT1 Open Camera Remote app hit connection After the initial set up of manually entering the XT1 network and following the same process I was able to reliably connect the XT1 and iPhone five times in a row Additional notes Fujis instructions on how to do this dont seem to be specific enough I was able to connect via iOS7 with less hassle However with the process above I have been able to connect to iOS8 reliably Once you are in the application the remote feature is fantastic a fully featured remote with many options The transfer feature is also good Back to the connection issue though if you want to go from Remote to Transfer I needed to disconnect and reconnect which was less than an ideal experience           How to Connect Review

There doesnt seem to be a lotta love for this app While there is room for improvement in speed and a few features its worked very well for me so far Using my new XT10 I was able to connect right away transfer pics to my phone and use the remote feature Solid app experience for me              Solid App

Just downloaded the newest firmware to my X E2 and downloaded the new remote app and first time out it worked great Now to see what distance it will work                 Works beautifully

Just downloaded the app for Finepix S1 and all I can do is basically take a picture as is The app has no Menu function or Menu shortcut Under the Control menu all I can do is zoom Pretty much point and shoot app unless I missing something big time Why Fuji would set this app up so you have to disconnect between the 4 main functions is beyond me What a pita        No Menu Fuctions

To update their app to ios9 before its released why even bother Use shutter snitch     If you get a pop up that they are too lazy

While this app is better than the previous apps from Fuji it is still frustrating to use With my XP I have to disconnect and reconnect through phone settings to change functions with the app Very tedious probably will never use it except in extreme emergency to download     Awkward to use

This app is way better than a traditional release or a newer remote You can see through the lens to take a shot or adjust the focus Also you can transfer jpg files from the camera town iOS device Its awesome People get really caught up in the smaller parts of each functionality Some things are a little weird but overall the app is really great                 Great

I tried for over an hour to get this app to work so far no success I followed the instructions by Fuji and also instructions found in this review site and on the Internet So far I have been unable to connect to the iPad I was able to successfully transfer my pics from my Leica Type 109 with no problems Fuji please fix this app there are too many people who cant seem to get this to work     CamAngel

This app is a blemish on the face of some great cameras Its finicky thats putting it nicely about connecting wont transfer video limits photo transfer and looks to be designed by the intern who came to work drunk most days Please Fuji fire that drunk intern and outsource this app to a competent mobile software development house     Fuji should recall this app

I spent over an hour trying to get this app to work on an iPhone 5s and Fuji XP70 equipped with wifi After reading other reviews and going through Google searches I tried to get this app to work properly but failed The app shows the phones IP address but fails to connect every time It falls into an irritating back and forth between the iPhone and the Fuji appplease connect to iPhone then dropping the connection forcing you to go back to the camera to reset the connection only to loose it again on the app There are NO help instructions and whatever details that are provided with the app are absolutely terrible I tried renaming or shortening the cameras wifi name or renaming the camera from its default but that did not help I reset the camera and restarted the app several times and that did not help either If Fuji is serious about making this a useable app to take advantage of the many features it offers then they need to get rid of the folks who first developed this app and install a new team that will work these bugs out and streamline the app so users will not be frustrated with its difficulty of use To put something this buggy and difficult to use out as a finished product on the App Store is not only a big negative for Fuji but it drives away customers who probably bought Fuji cameras with wifi expecting them to work properly out of the box I have no problem with the XP70 camera it works great and the images it produces are wonderful What the problem isthe Fuji apps do not measure up to its cameras Again Fuji needs to either fix the apps or get rid of them and put the wifi connection functionality into the camera firmwaredirect connect with the camera without using the flawed app     Terrible app

Downloaded this for my Finepix S1 and it works great I did not try the range how far away from the camera I could get the camera functions viewing your pictures transferring them to your phone or iPad worked great So far I could highly recommend this app And camera                 Simple and functional
