To be quite blunt this app is garbage straight out of the Internet of old It is way behind modern quality of life features There is no autoplay no 51015 second skip ahead It is incredibly cumbersome to find the program I wish to watch and once I do find it it often wont even play I have to force close and reopen the app a number of times before playback works Then theres the SDHD quality button It doesnt remember my preference and I have to click MORE buttons if I can even get it to play The whole thing needs to be streamlined for onthego access I hate the fact that I not only pay for a subscription but paid 10 for an app and still have to see more Buy me Buy me on the featured page The splash video and the sweet lightning bolt for the menu are also archaic and should be removed The dev should really take a page from the book of modernity that Hulu Crunchyroll and Netflix read from Amazon Instant Video is another service with a pretty bad app but still ahead of the FUNimation app     Good Library Poor Access

This is an outstanding app for streaming anime sure its not perfect but its outstanding none the less It can be a bit glitchy and weird it has its quirks and maybe its just me but Ive had trouble watching anime sometimes because it wont start but I love this app and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys anime              Absolutely wonderful except

I just subscribed to the Funimation website and am a bit bugged by the 10 app but there is a great selection of anime I am having some issues with the app where nothing plays though Please fix this soon           Good selection many kinks in app

I cannot in good conscience recommend this application to anyone for purchaseThis application should have never been released The screen orientation does not adjust properly which cuts the visibility and thats if you can get it to play at all Navigation at this point is almost impossible The glitches are beyond a minor inconvenience This app is unusable     Unusable

The app works well but one thing I found and this is my mess up I forgot my password and I couldnt get any info on changing my sign in or get help so Im stuck with a unloggable account           Good but a major screw up

Funamation as a service website and even for the ps4 is great wouldnt change a thing Though the app is left something to be desired the search engine cant determine what needs to be shown when spelled correctly there is no functionality when it comes to sub or dub its all just thrown out there A high schooler with basic knowledge could of programmed a better app There is much that needs to be changed to make this app as good as the service is     Funamation great service terrible app

I enjoy that it has a large selection of amines but the cons of this app far outweigh the pros Where to even start 1 The app CRASHES every other minute 2 Commercials When I payed for this app 3 SOMETIMES it will start where I left off and other times it wont 4 When I scroll down to add a show it brings me back to the beginning you really need to fix that 5 It wont even let me watch trailers half the time All it takes is me scrolling fast or clicking on a trailer for it to crash the app Until funimation address these problems buying the app IS NOT suggested youll just be wasting money     Where to even start

Why is the free version ahead by like 1 or 2 episodes I dont want to wait 3 weeks to see the most current episode that would otherwise come out on time on the free version I paid 999 for that What the heck Phunware stay on top of things Can I get a refund     Compared to the free version

I enjoy the app and I love anime and this is my goto if I want to watch anime but after I watch about a hour and a half of anime I will get the ZERO I call it the zero because when this incident occurs I would try to watch a episode but when I open the video it will show on the bottom left corner on the timeline the number zero and will not play the episode and its the same with the other animes This isnt permanent but it does annoy me Im hoping they will fix this           Great Sorta

The quality of the video and audio is great but it lacks features like saving episodes to a favorites list to get to the shows you like quickly and doesnt have a good rewind feature like Crunchyroll has If it does Im sorry but I havent found it yet and that alone subtracts a star in my book I have to search through a long list for the show I want every time I go back to watch it Good selection of shows too but jeez in this day and age software isnt that hard to figure out           Good quality But

Using Funimation on a PS4 is fantastic On my phone and iPad however is a different story The app interface episode browsing presentation knowing where you left off in a series functional reliability All terrible I routinely open it to watch something only to see a black screen that does nothing It is so amazingly terrible and frustrating to use I dont get it     Great service but terrible app

Sure you think Oh this is gonna be great I can now watch anime from another app What can go wrong A lot First the app crashes constantly Second while trying to watch an episode it will get stuck on the settings To get the app running again I had to completely delete the app and re download it not once or twice but multiple times Finally the video quality is great IF you can even get a video to play You hit an episode and all you get to watch is a black screen that never loads If I knew it had so many problems I wouldnt have paid ten bucks for it considering I am a Funimation subscriber as well I would love it if the app could be fixed since Funimation has so many anime choices but until then it is honestly not worth the time money and headaches it has put me through     Dont Buy This

Navigating the app could be a lot better     Pretty lackluster

When it works it does the job But it usually doesnt work Movies launch and then show just a black screen with a 0000 length Restarting doesnt fix it Rebooting the phone doesnt fix it The next day itll work fine Then off again the next day Totally unpredictable Worse still this app is 10 on top of the subscription I paid 10 for something which works 50 of the time and which competitors provide 1 for free and 2 in a superior way I dont normally write negative reviews but this app is exceptionally poor by free standards At the 10 level it is more than an insultit borders on fraud     Usually Doesnt Work

Really I dont see any way this development company could keep the contract aside from bribes andor blackmail Thats how bad it is Clunky interface frequent crashes especially following even a minor iOS update Expect it to be down until they get to coding an update two months or so If I could sell it back I would On the plus side its never caused my iPad to catch fire and explode Yet     This App is just BAD

I love funimation however phunware should not be charging us for this terrible app Its ridiculous how the app will freeze on me when I am in search for an episode and on some days it wont even play any of the episodes Im not being ungrateful when it does work its great I love watching the episodes and it seems to be up to date However I rarely watch episodes because most times when I try to the app never loads the episodes           Phunware should not be charging

I was really hyped to get this app because I thought that I would get several seasons of dubbed episodes When I started the app I searched for the show I wanted only for it to have less dubbed episodes than Hulu Over all this app is just another place to view anime in its unaltered original form with subtitles What I am most disappointed about is how that are famous about dubbing hundreds of shows but they only have about a seasons worth of dubbed shows on this app The only way to fix this is to add more dubbed episodes     Lack of dubbed Videos

I watch a lot of anime and this app has a great selection of high quality shows and movies I also have crunchyroll which is like the PG rated version of Funimation My only complaint is that if I have to close out of the app for any reason it never saves your spot for whatever video youre watching so you have to remember the time stamp and the occasional glitches where the app just shuts down Besides that its one of the best anime apps out there like Netflix for anime titles              An Otaku MustHave

Servers are constantly down Any time I go back a page it resets where I was to the beginning of the page And I cant flip the screen orientation of the video player as well I thought these things would be fixed in the paid version but its the same as the free one Not worth it Also it crashed ALL THE TIME And when it isnt crashing its 5050 if the show will play at all Crap app     Paid 10 and this is what I get

I decided to subscribe and purchase the funimation app because I was running out of interesting stuff to watch on crunchyroll However I dislike the fact that I can only watch 23 episodes at a time then have to restart the whole thing I signed up for unlimited streaming I want to lay around Sit around and marathon shows on my days off Not get frustrated cause an app Im using that I paid 10 for doesnt have a dedicated team or servers to make funimation streaming as exciting as it sounded when I subscribed I wanted to spend my hard earned cash and give other people a payday but i might just have to stick with youtube        10 for an app that has no effort put into it

I was really excited to be able to watch dubbed anime on my iPhone I have a subscription through Funimation and while surprised the iOS app was priced at 10 decided to go for it as I was excited to be able to watch anime instead of read it I booted up the app logged in picked a show And 20 minutes of troubleshooting later have yet to watch more than 10 seconds of the episode I was trying to watch This feels like an incomplete app attached to a great service and a great company It is such a shame I will be requesting a refund as I am not able to watch the anime on my iOS devices     Unstable App for a Great Service

I am a subscriber to funi but cannot play shows through phone shows when I play video it will not load              Cant play shows

For such a great service the app is surprisingly bad It has the most beautiful and intuitive browsing menu Ive ever seen where you can just scroll through all their series in alphabetical order too bad if youre curious about a series and want to learn more when you go back it takes you to the beginning of the list Hope you remember what the last show whose description you were reading was called Worse thats the end of its good features The video playback is HUGELY unstable often forcing me to just use the website on my mobile browser instead Kind of pointless to have a video app if the videos wont play Also where is my queue The app is so unintuitive it is impossible to find even the most obvious settings and features Dont get me wrongFunimation is a fantastic service with tons of great shows I just wish the app was equally good        Great service bad app

The app lacks some basic functions such as being able to save your location where you left off within a series The app also doesnt synchronize your Funimation queue This means you must add all of your shows again Another problem with the app is the lack of orientation support You can only display videos on one landscape My problem is that this puts the volumes buttons on the bottom Other video apps allow you to turn the video anyway you want The last complaint is the episode listings It starts with popular I guess that would be fine for movies but not show episodes The default should be the episode listing by episode number        Its ok

The benefits advertised for the paid version do not stack up to the ease of use from competing apps like Crunchyroll or Hulu This app randomly ceases to load videos it may be more latencysensitive than other streaming apps For example if Im lucky I can watch an episode or two in this app before it stops loading videos By contrast Hulu is more stable when watching funimations own videos and I can watch them for hours at at a time By thway why do you run ads for the software developer during the stream If you want an easier time watching funimations videos try Hulu If you want to stick to funimations streaming service only use the free app PLEASE DONT BUY THIS APP ITS TERRIBLE     Utter waste of money Perpetually shows add for app developer
