GAF® Pro Roof Estimator

The GAF® Pro Roof Estimator is now available as a free download on Apple Store for iPad owners. The application is supporting English language. It weighs in at only 13.0 MB to download. The new GAF® Pro Roof Estimator app version 1.0 has been updated on 2014-02-23. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Can t sign in even though I m a master elite contractor and was a certified one for years as well Have to say I have wanted to try this out but every time I use a gaf app it does not work well always crashed and we have been unable to sign into any of the gaf apps for a long time I truly thing these our created to drive traffic to there site and were never intended to help out the contractor Even try to get in touch with app support just goes right to there website     Useless Jdroofing101

This app has potential but the current version is seriously flawed and I would be afraid to use it for an actual estimate 1 It is missing the ability to see itemized list of how the final price was calculated in a spread sheet format to quickly check for errors 2 There is no flexibility to control the format and content of the estimate such as item descriptions or additional paragraphs titles etc 3 Estimate doesn t list all user created accessories used such as flashings or drip edge 4 Extra charges for steep pitch or additional stories should be based per square of roofing not flat fee 5 The material and installation margin should be adjustable during the estimating process to allow the ability to adjust the final price based on the type of customer Developer vs average Joe vs Owens Corning CEO 6 There is no ability to control how and were accessories are used For example it calculates the number of rolls of roofing paper based on number of squares without deducting the areas covered with ice shield or it automatically defaults to ice shield being used on rakes 7 There is no ability to indicate roof areas between 2 12 and 4 12 pitch which require full ice shield 8 There is no selection of flat roofing system such as the Liberty This app requires plenty more work before it will be usable and reliable I will wait for the app to update before I go back to it I would be happy to work with GAF to make it right as the concept would be very useful tool for roofing sales reps everywhere         It s a start Weatherguard
