This app is great when it works I have used it for the past 2 3 years and never had a problem Unfortunately as others have reported the app is now broken on iOS 10 3 2 freezes after a new trip is launched Thanks to reviewer Ghernes1 for pointing out that the freeze can be avoided if the trip s name is kept to the default value Then all works fine So minus 1 star for the bug and minus another one for no update no matter how minor in 2 years             Abandonware jyh_

I used this a few years ago in Hawaii and it was great However I tried to use it it recently after upgrading to iOS 10 and it locks up EVERY TIME So frustrating The only way to stop it is to delete the app and then all your data is gone Please fix this     Locks up using iOS 10 Rt66Fan

It has been over 2 years since anything has Even posted about GPS4CAM Pro on their website The app locks up under iOS 10 0 2 and must be force quit It will not produce a QR Code display and can not be paused None of the buttons work even though the app logs GPS waypoints No response to these issues after several attempts to get a fix date estimate Sad it WAS a good app RIP GPS4CAM Pro     Apparently Discontinued N4TVC

This software works just fine Only issue for me is that for or some reason the pause function gets activated once in awhile I do not know why Tried it out taking some photos locally importing to Houdahgeo and the gps coordinates displayed woohoo So far so good I like the feature of not having to sync the camera clock with the app If they can fix the pause issue it would be perfect                 GPS for my Canon 5D DSLR TW462x0

This works as well as the other gps photo apps with the added advantage of seamlessly dealing with changing time zones However this requires using the app in a very specific way that is not adequately covered in the instructions I wrote the publishers several emails over 2 months and heard nothing so I had to go into the field completely unsure which steps to take or not to take I was left to figure it out by trial and error and that is not a good feeling when the tagging is a professional requirement As I write this another couple of months have passed and still no response If you want to use this app synced between your phone and camera time it is as useful as any other app of its type But if the time zone feature is important be aware you will get no help And you can t pre test it until you actually cross a few time zones         Zero customer service Mliphoto

I have used this on two shoots where I was in the field 4 to 5 hours I have used the Precise and Standard mode and the battery drain was minimal The pause mode is great to use when you stop for lunch The free app to geotag your photos works with no problems I have geotagged up to 393 RAW files in a single shoot and it was perfect in execution I highly recommend this app                     The BEST ButchPhoto

gps4cam really works like a charm I have done multiple trips with it and in conjunction with the desktop app it has nearly always worked flawlessly I love that it also adjusts the time of the pictures Nearly always because I had a case where I started it in flight mode and it didn t pick up new locations even after flight mode was disabled So all my pictures were tagged with the same airport last position before flight mode Nevertheless I give 5 stars                     Does the job perfectly Bjo ern

It works as advertised I miss loading the geotrack directly into Lightroom a bit simply because it was fun It is still possible to add the geotagging to the photos in Lightroom using data from this app but the QR code Mac app is an amazing combination that doesn t make sense to bypass I never have to worry about forgetting to sync my camera and phone clocks again                     Use of QR code is a great innovation revwezlo

gps4cam Pro is one of those apps which just works It seems too good to be true But it quietly sits there running with minimal battery drain really what SYSMIGO says about that is accurate iPhone 6 Plus iOS 8 3 still 99 after 8 hours use in your back pocket while you use a camera that has no GPS You then take a shot on your camera of the QR code produced at the end of the session if it s not immediately readable by the company s software which you can download from the MAS just crop it in Preview Run the images through that software or the more fully featured and excellent HoudahGeo and everything is accurately geo tagged And timestamps adjusted regardless of your camera s settings You can also share the files which gps4cam creates and retains successively on your iPhone email them to yourself in a variety of formats including the standard gpx It s quick robust reliable intuitive and does everything you want The only minor drawback is that the aforementioned software and this aspect of HoudahGeo for that matter requires a Java Runtime Environment not everyone wants Java on their Mac now                     A little marvel marksealey

I would have always considered this app 5 stars before this recent experience I enabled cloud mode I m on a trip This used to continuously record geolocation data until I paused it Now it will record for a short time and then next time I open the app it s paused again so it s not recording locations This is very frustrating because it makes the app worthless to me Ok so why don t I just turn off cloud mode You can t if you want to continue your trip Your trips are ONLY available in the cloud now and there is no way to migrate them back to local storage on the device Your QA was completely non existent Also the website is so crappy I can t leave feedback on the site so you get it here with a one star rating I don t think I have ever been so disappointed in an app that had previously worked so well for me     The cloud feature is a TOTAL DISASTER orange80

gps4cam starts where all the other apps stop They all can create a GPX file that you need to apply to your photos somehow Lightroom or other tools gps4cam however works way better by not only automatically applying the GPS coordinates via a desktop tool but also by correcting capture time in the process Now this is really great It s also very handy that you can set whether GPS coordinates and time stamps are applied to the images files or to xmp sidecar files Lastly the author is very communicative and responsive Five stars and two thumbs up                     Head Shoulders above the competition TGeist

Excellent app for Geotagging your photos I ve tried a Qstarz GPS logger which was very accurate and allowed 1 second logging intervals but it was a bit finicky with the Bluetooth connection and getting the GPX logs into my Mac was sometimes difficult It s also a separate device to keep up with and keep charged This app gps4cam however is about as seamless as you could ask for a GPS setup that isn t built in to your camera SInce I have my iPhone with me everywhere anyway there s no extra device to remember to bring along or charge Just have to turn it on to log you trip and you re set Take a picture to the QR Code when you re done and the desktop software does the rest by tagging the EXIF data in the photos The convenience can t be beat but it also is a nice solution if you have multiple cameras or other people in a group would like to geotag as well as they can also use your QR code The Pro version allows one to adjust the Precise logging mode down to 10 sec intervals which is more useful at times than the 30 sec interval that is fixed on the non Pro version Dropbox integration is a nice feature too Accuracy is very good too just like an iPhone Really nice app to have in your photo setup and you can t beat the price                     Convenient and Effective hfh64
