Why does this make me redownload the licks so much              Good

This version is much much better than the previous version You can choose the lessons this time and the videos suit what ever difficulty level you are The previous versions videos were either much too easy way too difficult or just was something I wasnt interested in learning They hit a home run this time around Value priced lesson packs also I wish they would come up with a reasonably priced bundle deal however                 Much much better

I love this app Ive been using it for just a couple of months now but find the instruction method is interesting and effective I dont subscribe but purchase the lesson packs that interest me They are very reasonably priced especially if you watch for discounts The Agile Partners customer service is great too I sent an email with a question and within 2 hours had my answer and a promise to make an improvement on the next update My only problem has been that Im using all my iPad memory for guitar lessons but I can always delete the ones I use less or have finished and they are available to download again any times Keep up the good work TrueFire and Ill keep buying the lessons                 Excellent app for improving guitar repertoire

Wowspent 499 for a tuner and metronome which I already had the best ofnow they want another 499 for the Chord Sheetsanother 499 for every other addonmy mistake but I wont make it again with this developerdo your homework folks I was too trusting as Ive always liked Agile     Ripoff

Love the new 20 upgrade Apps like this are the reason I recently spring for an iPad Ive been making a concentrated effort to brush up on my dusty playing techniques for about a year now using a variety of apps on my iPhone method books etc Lick Of The Day 20 is EXACTLY the type of instruction tool Ive been hoping to find Perfection                 Bravo

exactly what SlashMurdock said The app itself is good but the new pricing model no longer matches the name of the app very deceptive unless you change the app name or preferably provide a lick a day If you are married to the idea of bundles you should consider discounts for people that buy multiple lick packs     Ditto its no longer Lick a Day its Buy a Bundle

Ive subscribed to this app since day one In its earlier iterations it helped me advance my playing in unimaginable ways But this is a whole new deal From the advanced playback functions to the insightful copy about each lick written by guys like David Hamburger theres really no other app like this one Im really looking forward to jumping on all these new licks Ignore the negative reviews about it not living up to the Lick of the Day moniker Id much rather have less licks that are more focused and thoughtful vs random licks every day As a lover of jazzbluessoul I dont really care about metal licks and now I have a choice Great job Agile                 Seriously Great Evolution

Wow I can not believe that these guys dont offer subscriptions any more They dont want our money or what I really liked getting new licks each day it kept things fresh So if you guys at guitar world care about your customers we are not happy     Ruined a good thing

Paid 99 only to find out the 1200 licks advertisedwould cost you hundreds of dollars to get Every book advertised within the app is 499 Slow Blues1 499 Slow Blues2 499 a different style Blues another 499 Oh so you wanted to add some Country That will be another 499 please Oh You thought you wanted crucial country But You really wanted countryfried country or maybe bluegrass 1 or 2 499 499 499 And from a group that has brought us such amazing apps as guitar tools and amplitube This is a stinker     Extremely Disappointing

Since a fews Weeks ago i have a problems to see the app licks of the day special licks tha i buy long time ago i dont know Was happen for thishave iPad and iPhoneso please i need help in this problem                 Problem with the AppStore

One of my favorite guitar apps My only suggestion is to make it easier to sort through the lick packs and find your favorite lessons                 I use it all the time

Version 20 does NOT mess around Before you would get a random lick sent to your iphoneipad and it could be anywhere from a master like Guthrie Govan teaching you an awesome phrase or some random guy playing beginner punk riffs TrueFire brings a sense of structure to this app Its more focused you know more of what youre getting and you can purchase licks that are more in line with your actual musical goals The initial offerings are based around TrueFires tried and true 50 licks series which are split into 2 packs of 25 licks each While I like that youre able to drop down a smaller chunk of change for each volume I hope in the future that youre able to to buy a package consisting of all 50 licks perhaps for a discounted price Theres great teachers spread across a multitude of styles and this is only the beginning Im excited to see more content as the app continues with TrueFire Lick of the Day has been reborn                 Great app made even better with TrueFire partnership

I have the previous version of this which I like a lot When I try to install this version on my iPod iTunes says it wont install it because it needs a newer version of iPod software my iPod is the current version Just updated iTunes everythings the latest dont get why this wont install update to new version        New Version Wont Install

This is the best App I have when it comes to its worth for what it can teach you That why I give it a 25 and not just a five I been playing since the mid60s and I am still learning some with each lesson I go thru There just isnt enough hours in the day to play all the different styles of licks this App offers Absolutely the best bang for the buck if youre a player                 Lick of the Day is a 5 Squared

This app and the dev are absolutely excellent Here are the best learning aids I have found anywhere If you like notation and tab fully playback enabled complete with video instruction and the ability to slow it down and practice with repetition this app is the place to get all that And the prices are totally reasonable I cant say enough good about it Thank you Agile Partners youre tops in my book                 Love this app

I was a huge fan of the first version of the Lick of the Day app The new version requires IOS 6 Are you kidding me Sorry I am not going to buy a new iPad just so I can run this app I think that was a very short sighted decision and you are alienating a lot of potential customers Bad idea     Requires IOS 6

The new launch with the lick packs is cool and all but where is the actual lick of the day I subscribed for a year or so in the previous version and looked forward to every days lick Instead of getting one delivered everyday you have to purchase lick packs that include 25 at a time Thats great but the name Lick of the Day doesnt portray what this app actually is        Why no more subscriptions

This is a outstanding app The in app purchases are worth way more than what they are asking Top notch players and teachers These are not just a collection of do this monkey licks They well explained and how to use them in your own playing Practice mode is the best Well done and informative                 Excellent app excellent lickslessons

I liked the style of lessons They take a manageable chunk of a song and break it down They give you enough free lessons that you will know if you like the teacher and the songs I improved quickly but with some effort on my part Lessons cost about 5 for a block of a dozen licks an each instructor              Good lesson format

There is nothing free after the initial download     No free lessons

I have to admit I never renewed my subscription on the previous version for 2 reasons First I wasnt that strong a guitarist just trying to play licks wasnt helping me get better I was hoping when I bought the subscription it would teach me more Now it does just that These lessons I already purchased the Blues Rhythm pack are so much better You get video instruction tabs to follow while youre playing backing tracks to practice with Plus the instructors explain what youre being taught No put your index finger on this fret etc kind of lessons You learn what why an A5 is an A5 etc Its a complete package reasonably priced Another great thing is all the licks I paid for previously are restored so when I want to take a break from learning I can get into those cool licks Agile has done it again Great lessons great app great instructors so easy to use Thanks guys                 Not a revision an overhaul

I have bought 5 lick packs and I am tired of having to download the licks each time I want to practice them it takes nearly 2 hours for me to DL them Once downloaded they disappear after 23 days I have a lot of memory available and unswitched for deleting oldest Very disappointing     Frustrated with downloading licks

ah ok its pretty good it has a loop to play the riffs over n oversome of the riffs are simplistic but then again theres some beauty in minimalism but with some of the licks I felt a little cheated they were so short but hey what r u ganna do its handy             

Love the app but since I bought a lick pack I have been unable to find the main menu Help                 How do you get back to the main menu

When I downloaded this app when it first came on the App Store you could spend a couple of bucks for a month Now they have packs Boring I liked when I got thirty random licks O well glad I bought several months when it first appeared before I stopped using my iPad for a year I think As I do not see myself buying any lick pack unless you offer random packs too Later licks of the past Keep practicing my fellow axe wielding super stars Cheers           Has changed
