Gusto Mobile - Code Editor and FTP Client

I have been enjoying Gusto on my iPad for months now and this mobile version is just as good It is easily configured reliable and fast I admit I use it primarily for FTP not for html editing I was able to do simple edits on my iPad I dont know yet about editing on the iPhone but Im not really interested in editing on a tiny screen anyway                 Excellent as is the iPad version

Editing text with this program is a frustrating experience It took me half an hour to select a block of code that stretched slightly beyond the screen There is no inertia so the text goes flying by once you drag to the edge and you are instantly halfway down the document length trying to get back to where you want to be If you by minor miracle land at that point after plummeting back and forth the beginning of the selection has moved to a random location sometimes all the way to the beginning of the document The magnifying glass that pops up to help you find a precise insertion point is completely empty I have not written an iPhone program but are the basic text editing behaviors of all other programs not available to a program author Editing text always works beautifully in Mail or Noteseven here where I write this review I tried to contact the vendor and received no response I paid six dollars I regret not paying a bit more to try FTP On The Go Perhaps I still will though it would be nice to have a refund of a product that while aesthetically pleasing and transfers files as advertised is essentially unusable for the want of simple editing functionality        Not yet ready for prime time

The features with this app are pretty nice I was ready to give it 4 stars until during my first day using it I edited a CSS file and published the edited file successfully Next thing I know my site has no styling at all Turns out that this app somehow published my CSS file as a discouraging 0byte blank So much for reliability Otherwise the app worked great on several other edits But I cant use it if I have to risk this app deleting the contents of each file I edit A nice idea a pretty nice UI but for the app to actually be useful it CANNOT under ANY circumstance upload a blank copy of my CSS or PHP pages That one occasional problem is bad enough that the app is too risky to use on live sites and thus little more than toy Its getting deleted as soon as I finish writing the review        Nice Features POOR Reliability

No htaccess support Also the status bar in iOS 6 is a random red shade     Hidden Files Really though

This app is really good but all it needs is ssh and optimize for iPhone 5 and greater for the screen                 Gusto Mobile

Ive been searching for an iPhone app that works with SFTP The apps from Antecea has so much bad ratings and FTP on the Go doesnt even support SFTP yet On the down side its a bit slow because of the graphics but love the syntax editor Thanks and please do not stop developing this app You did a TERIFFIC JOB on the app                 First Impression Im Lovin It

Editing an actual html file is almost unusable and once the keyboard is open there is no way to close it With the keyboard open you can only view 10 lines of code portrait which is not that bad but in landscape you can only view 3 lines of code Of course only a fool would actually write a full website using an Iphone this app is more for minor touch ups like a spelling mistake or fixing a broken link when youre not at your computer           Eh

Someone needed to make this app a long time ago The ability to edit sites on the go is invaluable Thank you                 Finally

I love the app I like to be able to edit code on the go but not having ios7 support is just wrong     No IOS 7 support

This would a great code editor if it worked properly I hate to have a large web page open and just when you thought you updated your code your site size now says 0k Very frustrating and a HUGE waste of time     Were not quite there yet

Works pretty well Syntax highlighting is nice SFTP works great I would request the following Give users the option to Decrease font size Hide keyboard via button Hide line numbers Tough to get much done on iPhone when you can only see 3 lines at a time              Pretty handy best Ive tried

The nicest thing I can say about this app is that its not finished Hard coded fake values in the upload screen preview function crashes app keyboard pops up and takes over most of the screen unexpectedly with no hide button and many features are lacking for the price I recommend doing a basic smoke test before you decide your apps are finished and ready to submit        Not ready for prime time

I thought the UI would be better doesnt fit the icon Also crashes a lot Please fix thisits almost unusable sometimes        Almost there

Really great tool to have for on the go site editing A little sluggish on the iPhone4 needs a little polish              Love it

Considering what this program does I think it works great I really havent had any crash issues The syntax highlighting is my favorite part Id say The UI is a little too user friendly for my taste wood grain and all the textures but as long as it works I can deal with that Harder to use on iPhone because of small screen and keyboard takes up so much room but not the creators fault Continue the good work                 Works great

My only reluctance before purchasing was that I shouldnt have to pay for two versions but everything is heading that way now I was so happy with the iPad version I figured it was worth it to pay again I was very wrong Crashes often Cannot move files between folders More problems than I want to spend my time mentioning Can someone tell me how to get my money back     Disappointed

The app is awesome when it WORKS but ever since iOS 6 it crashes ALL THE TIME Ive been emailing the developers and asking for a fix for over a month Its still not fixed as of Nov 26th By Dec 1 Im deleting     Developer Wont Fix Crashing Issues

No bugs as far as I can see on latest version                 Best editor so far

As a long time Gusto iPad user I as excited an interested to see how this mobile version would perform I have only made a few minor updates to websites but it is amazing as everything is formatted to work well on a smaller device From what I can tell we have not lost any major functionality over the iPad version I can already tell this app is going to save me some headaches Well done                 Incredibly Smooth

Good design and easy to use Its not so smooth when writing codes in my iPhone4 Maybe it has a good performance on 4S or iPad                 An amazing app

I wasnt sure if it would work to have an app that can write code AND use FTP to publish it but I was more than impressed with this app Fast responsive and so simple                 Exactly what I wanted

Crashes on iPhone 5 when clicking anywhere NEEDS FIXING URGENTLY Update after almost a month of wait I guess is safe to declare this app DEAD since the developer hasnt either responded or released an update Dont buy look for something else UPDATE They just released a version that they say adds iOS6 support and includes some fixes I just tried it and is still the same crap Neither it works in iPhone 5 iOS6 not fixed any bug I think they are just trying to make the bad reviews disappear Well let me tell you mr developer as long as Im alive I will come here after every update to let them know that they will be wasting their money buying you app Are you interested in this app Well get something else because this one doesnt work and the developer is not making anything to fix it     iPhone 5 iOS6
