Originally the App could not find my receiver avr 1710 But with the new firmware on HKs website the app worked perfect the first time Airplay also started working You can use this feature without the app                 Finally works update receiver firmware

AVR2700app crashes on load on both iPad iOS6 and iPhone iOS7 Really disappointing Receiver also has had no software update available for it since I purchased Software side of HK is crap Probably offshoring dev and obviously doing zero testing As device technology converges software is at least as important as hardware Better step it up people     One star till it works

I love my Aura sculpture I have it connected to my Apple TV via Airplay for a wireless set up in my living room it also connects to the rest of my devices with ease using the built in wifi I have a few issues with the app The speaker will often disappear from the list and I have to quit the app through multitask and restart it for the speaker to show up again This wouldnt be a problem if the EQ and the bass options were easily accessible though the app The music player doesnt seem to function properly on the iPhone but it works just fine on the iPad The app is visually designed well but its not completely intuitive        Beautiful device weak app

I have paired it with the onyx using Bluetooth and dont see any advantages to having it It does not show the battery charge level jambox feature The volume interface does not allow for fine volume level control It does not allow for customizing the equalizer Nothing that the iOS system controls dont already give me        No purpose

If your device disappears from your dashboard so you cant control it remotely from the app just turn it off and back on from the rear switch next to the power cord Worked for my avr 1700 If you dont have a rear switch unplugging and plugging back in should do the same thing Next version should have on screen display control through the app If my dog destroys my remote again Ill be out another 50 bucks for another remote just so I can tweak the setup           Turn off and on from back

I have the AVR 1610 this app works well with it but its not intuitive it does work okay but it can and should be more fluid Really havent had any issues with app crashing           It works but not intuitive

As a remote this app is completely worthless Use it once then it loses connection and has to be force quit Then you can use it once again then it loses connection HK why the hell did you even bother     Completely pointless

I really wish there was a way to remotely turn my speaker Aura on and off Itll enhance the user experience Please make that App works great with my iPhone though        Decent

App allows volume control but I can do that via the built in functions of my iPhone without the HK Remote app Please add the ability to change the source Please        Please let me change the source

What is going on HK This app used to be a useful remote control Now it does NOTHING AT ALL on my AVR1700 You offer to send me an AVR 1710 but others say it is the SAME PROBLEM     BROKEN Worthless FIX IT

I just want to connect and control my sound bar Is that too much to ask But I have a million options non of which seem to be what I need     Complicated

Every time this app is updated it has issues This time it wont recognize my AVR1700 Dont update if you can avoid it     Not working again

When it can connect to my AVR 1700 then its not too bad with limited functionality and feedback for controls But getting it to connect is frustrating Rarely does it ever recognize the Receiver so the app is useless most of the time Running on the latest receiver firmware and app version is supposed to resolve the problem but it doesnt     Cant connect most of the time

This app has potential but asis its fairly useless The only advantage is that I can make adjustments to my HK3700 from a different room but thats about it There is no interface that shows what it is you are adjusting exactly so you still have to use the visual display on the actual receiver It works for me by being able to adjust volume and turning onoff the receiver while away from the receiver but anything else is equal the physical remote If we could see what the volume level we adjusted to the internet radio station we are searching for what the treble and bass level we just selected etc this could be a much much more exciting app Also volume control is slow Will accept 1 volume level adjustment approximately every second           Slightly better than the physical remote

If I want to play an album start to finish I cantall the track titles are alphabetizedwhat the heck     Dont like it

This most recent update has broken the connection between the app and AVR for both iPhone and iPad Airplay still working Fix soon I hope     Connection Broken

thats all it does It looks like it would be a great app from the screenshots unfortunately it is completely broken     It crashes really fast

I love the HK Aura box great sound awesome design but the app is a nightmare The app will lose the connection to the box every time afterwards Im not able to connect again I can only connect w another device to change the volume I highlighted this several time but never got a feedback I guess there us no support ar all The last update of this app is 15years ago what is the issue w listening to customer feedback Its not a cheap box room for improvement     this app needs an update

Update itpoint device at the receiver and you get resultsmake sure the HK device is highlighted on your device                 Actually Works

I can download the app but it only gives me access to the songs in my Library I need the ability to control the Equalizer for the dimensions and characteristics of the room Disappointing     HK Remote does not work

After the update the app hardly works this needs to be fixed its ridiculous that I have to reset my network settings on my AVR to use the remote functions when ever I want to use this app but AirPlay works flawlessly        App works

Fix it and stop updating Every time you update it stops working your not fixing anything if you cant figure it out hire a developer because you clearly need one this app works 5 of the time     Stop updating it

its good and useful for me when i have few harman kardon product when i can control the volume any time with my iPhone but now i wish to have support apple watch it will be more convince for apple watch user              Good Remote But i need support apple watch

I use this app daily to control my AVR 1700 It does the job I can change inputs adjust volume basically control the main features of the receiver from my iPhone or iPad The thing that makes me not love this app is if it is left running in the background it drops the connection to the receiver and gives an error This happens every time requiring me to force quit the app and restart it Its a simple fix the developer could not allow the app to run in the background or they could force a disconnection with the receiver after a period of inactivity This one bug makes me cringe every time I have to restart the app           I want to love it

Using with a Harman Kardon SB26 Soundbar This is an excelent simple app that gives you an alternative way to control your system I dont know why the bad critics                 AWESOME

Let me start off by saying I hate people who unreasonably write bad reviews However I bought the hk aura because of not only look and sound and it to this day still blows me away however The functions in which it prides itself on dont work reliably Bluetooth cuts out almost consistently and wifi dont even get me started on Now thats just for the speaker the app is on the same level of crappy I use the speakers optical input for my tv which is great however every time I want to change to that mode I must get up to do so this should be something that the app does especially considering no remote comes with the device There are so many pros about this device unfortunately the cons out weigh it Due to lack of support for their products I will never buy another If this were some cheap brand I wouldnt care and Im a firm believer in crap just happens however this is so avoidable Not nearly the performance expected for the price     Never buying hk again

Useless app Does not actually let you control your receiver Lots of buttons that dont do anything when you press them Did anybody try this app before it was published     Simply Terrible

This app just rarely works When it does work its great I would expect more from the Harman company They are usually ahead of the rest They should remove the app until it has been tested thoroughly and has proven to work properly     Fail

Aurora is amazing and working great with Airplay and Bluetooth Too bad the remote app drops constantly from wifi Fix the app and get the 5th star              Aurora is amazing but remote app is worthless

Bought my 1710 without remote hoping this app would be of some use WRONG Cant even buy the remote as its not sold individually yet Airplay is all the app is good for which I can do without the app Boooooo     Pointless

Since the latest update this app doesnt work at all with my 1700     HK Remote does not work

App keeps crashing Any action or even if I just leave it alone will crash the app The only thing it was able to do was show the intro help pages without crashing     Keeps crashing Totally unusable

I was hesitant to try this after reading all the negative reviews but Im glad I did It works well with my 3700 I have no issues with it                 Works for me

Have no idea why with a luxury speaker Aura you cant change the source through the app since they dont provide another remote     No source input changer

I have the SB26 love it The sound is great but the app would be even better if I could see the volume percentage for bass control volume on the adjustment screen                 Great app with missing feature

The Aura speaker is a great piece of speaker engineering Sound is outstanding and full The application however is neglected Although Bluetooth works well connectivity with AirPlay and wifi is horrible It will not connect since the last update via wifi and setup to accomplish the connection is tedious Harmon pay some attention to this product it would appear to be completely forgotten It needs a complete revamp Do it soon please     Neglected App

Dont know what all the fuss is about This app works fine for me with my 1710 I can even adjust volume and switch tracks from my iphone when my ipad is streaming the music More functionality would get 5 stars              Ok app

Even after software update     Wont recognize my AVR 1510

I dont need help setting up bluetooth on my phone to sync this I dont want to create playlists when I have playlists already The sole reason I wanted this is because I thought I could turn it off and on That isnt possible with this app So I deleted it 2 stars for nice presentation and being easy to use        I guess I dont see the point of this

Great app Works flawlessly with my avr1710 Haters will hate Im glad HK made this app I can play songs with my iPhone in a breeze or change sources without any lag 5 stars all the way Thanks HK                 December 2014
