I use this app daily to catch the news and weather For me its been high quality and reliable Excellent source of Hawaii News on IPAD with retinal display
Theres no sound in the videos Dont know if this is a local problem with my iPad or if others also have this problem So I dont use the app I go to the website instead No sound in videos
Im not sure I like the new format because it seems a lot more jumbled around then it used to be primarily the news links but I might get used to it What I dont like is that there is no link to the traffic reportmap This would come in handy Missing Traffic
Cant download app because I have an older iPad guess Ill have to delete this app and find my local news somewhere else Some of us cant afford to get a new iPad every time a new comes out hope you take that into consideration No news

The app is decent for reading the top news stories and I really appreciate being able to stream the live news right from the iPad I dont navigate around to other sections very often as the menu is not the greatest and it just seems to display the same stories in a different order Ive noticed with the most recent update that if I want to watch a video I have to drill down 5 or 6 levels before I can actually play the clip Then when Im done I have to hit back 5 or 6 times to get back to the top level A little annoying Okay but videos too many clicks

Older version was great I could find updated news regularly even if the weather app portion did not work well Now the app can go for days without an update The traffic section is useless The old version had a listing of the H1 rehab closures almost critical for driving in Honolulu Can we get the old one back Updated App is Not timely or well organized
App is a nice place to get news of Hawaii and has a very good look and feel I would give it 5 stars if it had portrait mode as well It is annoying to only have landscape I use star advertiser app more as ir is portrait Fix that and this is anwonderfulnapp No Portrait mode

Well laid out app but I have to downgrade on two levels One the app doesnt rotate on my iPad 3 Two the stories dont finish You Cant scroll down to continue the story It ends abruptly like the story character count is too long Or maybe its because it doesnt rotate and we cant see whats hidden below Either way its not very professional Write the story to fit or make the space for the story Basic journalism guys Almost there but

There no news under any of the categories and the stories are days old Old version was way better Scrap the New Version

I am giving this app 1 star because the previous version allowed me to check the clouds over Oahu in real time to see if I needed an umbrella for the early morning walk If this app has that feature where is it Other than that the news articles are OK but the articles could be more in depth No overlay Island weather map

Just downloaded this yesterday and it does not work Nothing happens What is wrong with it Not working
Current version requires IOS 6 or later Ditto for the Hawaii News Now iPhone app So older iPads and iPhones cannot update to a newer version of this APP and are stuck with an older version Within the last few days HNN has cut off the feed to those older versions of the app My iPad no longer shows any new news just multiple copies of an Attention users of the Hawaii News Mobile APP article which along with some rather annoying advertising says Please update to the new APP Not compatible with any but the newest iPads
Since the update I havent been able to open any articles to read Bring back the old version ugh
