Impossible to guess the correct spot to measurement It does not work eduardo.asta
This app is JUNK Waste of Money Junk Calvinwebster
I just doesn t work Don t waste your time or money Reason Detection of beat pulse at wrist chest or cartoroid is spotty at best When you do get some sort reading the beat detection on the graph is all over the place waste of 3 bucks Go buy a fart app instead at least that works Don t buy it Brett Flagg
I can t get it to work at all waste of good idea but does not work mariemanet
Did not detect my heart beat very consistently at all I am compltely dissatisfied Sorry I bought it Heart Monitor rhj204
I have a heart arythmia and by keeping track of my pulse this is a great wayand the people who say it is whack they are crazy Works Great for my Arythmia Jake.Smith
waste of a perfectly good 3 99 a crippled free version would have at least let me know it did not work but then of course I would not have given away my 3 99 waste of a perfectly good 3 99 bearstuff
I don t know what the other reviewers problems were but I don t have any with this program It works great and seems to be right I tested it against a Personal Digital Blood Pressure Monitor with only 1 2 beats difference The only thing I would change is to add some kind of notification so I know when it s done taking my pulse for when I can t see the screen GR8 PROGRAM B14 SR20
I purchased this App to track my Resting Heart Rate for triathlon etc With more than a month of testing trying and varying use the App fails I have every confidence I am using it correctly still my latest readings were 54 70 52 29 52 all taken at lying down one after another same place on my chest In short the App is not precise generally does not match my Polar HRM and lacks basic functionality such as ability to average graph track delete readings etc that would make it a useful tool especially at the rather steep comparatively App price of 3 99 I have free Apps with far greater functionality My advice is to save your money there is better out there And if you can t find a substitute a finger on the pulse is better in this case Not worth it at all rhelms
a total waste of money that doesn t deserve the time to write a negative review mr bbtron
I thought the problem was that my heartbeat might not be distinct but I had two others try it in quiet rooms The readings in every case were all over the map 30 90 100 30 so whatever sequence it was picking up it certainly wasn t from the heart Too bad I wish this had worked Great idea Could be that the iPod Touch headphone microphones weren t sensitive enough but I even pressed the mic into my neck hard enough to leave a mark for a half an hour one time and it still didn t work for me The pulse reader is nice as it gives you a record of rates as you go through different parts of your workout Hopefully the program can be re written to be more sensitive to the mics signal If it was redeveloped I d download it again Heart Monitor Didn t Work for me or any of my friends fooper
I get the best results with the headphone mike pressed against my bare chest Take the time to localize the best spot where you can clearly feel your heartbeat and put the mike right on that spot Follow these steps and this app won t dissapoint you Very accurate nice app Robert752
Results not reproducible with microphone at least not on 2G iPhone using either built in or add on mic BPM count works better but I can do that without this app Looking forward to updates bigtime VERY Disappointed jamaican_fi_real
I agree with a previous review that the pulse tool works well but I found the readings to be in consistant while on a bike seems that it does pick up to many diferent noises I am wondering if there is any other after market product out that that could plug into the iphone to help reduce the noise confusion ie a chest heart monitor strap Can other devises be used to help with the reading noel4nopun
The idea of this is good but there are a few too many barriers to it being reliable Still everyone in my office enjoyed it and I have used it a few times at the gym and it seemed okay Good idea flowlyflow
This app falls very short of delivering the promised I am an overweight person and this app almost fails to acknowledge I m alive much less to measure anything via microphone Also a 10 second timing is not enough for any serious accuracy since adding possible start and stop one beat errors it can produce up to 12 beat discrepancy with 3 4 beat error being almost guaranteed That s why I believe the count timing should go up to 15 maybe even 20 seconds Mediocre at best tabaks
This app is great There are many times in the day when I have to check my HB and this is perfect The only problem I find is that if you don t hit the right spot You don t get the right results I mean you can tell if you re getting the right results It ll jump back and forth But it s worth it Needs an update Please adjust the sensitivity Eh It s good but could be better MatthewGranda
What a waste of money Dose not work as described with the first generation iPhones with headset microphone on my carotid artery Don t waste your money Seadoo14
i tested this against the real heart monitor and the reading is way off and very inconsistent do a better job filtering external noise and this would be great support for bluetooth headset would be great because putting the iphone against a patient s wrist or neck is very awkward the manual counter works perfect though but one doesn t pay for the manual counter when the app is a heart monitor right alright anra rain
I bought this app knowing its gonna be hard to replace my regular strap based heartrate monitor and that came to be true That said this app is far from being bad in a quiet room i was getting results close to the ones shown on my expensive Polar monitor this app was off by about 5 bpm which is pretty close but not perfect Also its extremely hard to use it in a loud environment Gym since the mic from the headset has tendency to pick up all kinds of noise If you are on a treadmil running and at the same time pressing with your finger the headset s mic onto your neck any motion of the finger will be read as a heartbeat therefore you ll be getting off readings All in all I m VERY happy with this app and hoping the future updates will correct and or improve the current obstacles low signal levels noise reduction Almost perfect milan03
I was skeptical but It works as it should Also graphic design is top notch I was using a strap in the mornings but this will replace all the cumbersome procedures wow physicistjedi
