I would rate it a 5Star if it werent for its inability to save captured images directly to my camera roll This is an extra step that is frustrating and inconvenient However this app has worked flawlessly on my iPhone 6 Plus I am a professional photographer and this app is great for digitizing prints sketches and Polaroids This is definitely an app I dont want to see go away Great for iPhone 6 Plus
All I can say is read all of the literature that comes with the app Its a great tool that can go way beyond digitizing Moms old memory book Documenting and printing artwork is the first thing I found hint600dpi And from what I can tell it does what it says it will do The first time I documented a painting with HEIRLOOM I turned to my wife showed her the screen on my phone and said Check this out I swear it looks better than a scan I went on to read about the app and found out why Artists I almost dont want to give away this little secret but for a job so well done by this app team I will This is the app youre looking for Heirloom great job If you arent marketing to artists you should This App is really unbelievable

This has saved me so much money I didnt have to buy an expensive scanner or pay someone to scan my photos in Awesome app Id buy this if it werent free
Take a picture and rotated if necessary and save it and move it into an album It only takes 15 to 30 seconds to do a picture and it is saved in the cloud It is so much easier than using a real scanner because you have to transfer those pictures to your computer and then move it to the cloud Better than real scanners

This app makes taking and posting pictures so easy No more angled or skewed pics it corrects automatically Just have some contrast between the pic and the surface it is on and it works perfect For those of us who have tons of pictures from the predigital age this is a godsend Fantastic App For Pictures

This site seems to be a good place to keep old photos However sometimes it takes five or six shots to get a good copy I also havent figured out it I can rearrange the photos into a better order after taking them and I cant find directions Photo hog
You can take photos of photos in an album without taking apart anything It makes all the adjustments of light and sizing and its terrific Wonderful app

Rapid scanning rudimentary editing is wonderful and is what attracted me to this app It is a truly excellent concept and holds great promise However this app should be considered a beta test as developers are still collecting comments and ideas for future versions While Heirloom makes it very easy to capture a shoebox of old photos captured scanned Moments library quickly becomes too large and cumbersome to be serviceable There are no capabilities to sort photos within albums There are no partnerships with photo print apps Some features are simply too awkward to be performed on a smartphone thus making it imperative that editing sorting labeling etc functions be enabled for the desktop Not quite ready for prime time

Like other reviewers said Heirloom is a great idea for an app and one that I would happily pay 5 for if it did a great job of scanning old prints and making them easily available via camera roll dropbox etc However the photos do not scan that well and are NOT made easily available Actually an app called Scannable by Evernote basically does a BA job of doing exactly what I wish Heirloom did and thats not even the main purpose of that app UPDATE they just spammed me and a hundred other people CC not Bcc sharing our email addresses Gotta take away another star Would give them zero now if I could Dont download this app Good Idea Poor Implementation

Unlike many apps and many photo apps in particular Heirloom does exactly what it claims to do and does so simply and beautifully Ive tried many apps to scan photographs and Ive found Heirloom to be the easiest to use and nearly perfect in its scanning capabilities The organizational functions are exceptional This is a fantastic app Great App

I downloaded Heirloom last evening and am still experimenting So far the quality of the Heirloom photo scans is far better than anything else I have tried The app allows me to avoid reflections saving me from the expense and trouble of of buying and using a studio in a box The option to download higher resolution photos from the website is a real positive but so far somewhat complicated Id like to simply access higher resolution photos in the app And for Heirlooms next app Heirloom for slides Far better than alternatives
I was in the process of digitizing family photos when I found Heirloom Perfect timing Great app Love this app
It doesnt matter what kind of picture and what kind of formation you throw at this app it manages to find the borders correctly and come up with a very crisp digital copy of your paper photographs And because of this you can capture a lot of photographs digitally in a very short period of time Uploading to their cloud is very quick and the ability to share on Twitter and Facebook is well integrated Creating an adding pictures to albums is very simple and theres a couple of ways to do it in the app Photos are only saved to the heirloom cloud and are not saved to your camera roll So if youre looking for a way to get these into iPhoto its not going to be possible Remarkable
I just started using it and it is terrible It indiscriminately places the photograph in the frame and looks bad Ill just use my camera app on my iPhone Heirloom app
The tech behind the app is amazing WHEN IT WORKS For reasons beyond my understanding after scanning a whole photo albums worth of photos one after another I go back to moments only to discover about 15 of the photos made it there the rest disappeared completely The ones that were there were scattered in no particular order I tried to batchscan some more photos only to discover the exact same thing happened This is on a healthy newish iPhone 5s thats never given me any trouble before I think it has to do with their upload system no photos saved locally but whatever may be the cause this is ridiculous Aint nobody got time for your crap Heirloom Moving on to Pic Scanner fingers crossed As long as it doesnt COMPLETELY DELETE MOST OF MY PHOTOS itll be better Buyer beware Deleted all my photos TWICE
Such a great doityourself solution to make treasured old photos digital So easy
I have used flatbed scanner for many years Scanning lots of old pics Heriloom obosletes this old process I can now scan and not longer have to crop It crops automagically Then i can do a batch upload to my dropbox Fast Simple Network Engineer

I really like this appwhat it is today and what it promises to be in the future But it has glitches most notably how scanned pictures disappear from your Moments screen Also the only customer service I can find is a list of FAQ with no way to Contact Us for additional questions I have a ton of questions well at least a few Great Potential
