The No.1 iPhone App of 2011 is becoming more powerful: one tap to download all articles from many newspapers. Pages turn horizontally, like a book. (Articles are downloaded from original sources, not from news feed.) ...
Easy to use as a reader of public domain books from project Gutenberg And may I just say here rot in Hell Amazon for making it SO hard to do so via Kindle ereader However you can t bookmark your page And you can t select a word for dictionary lookup If these functions are available and I am just missing them a I ll be happy to be corrected and b rest assured I tried hard to find them before writing a review A good start Paradoxographist
Jumps all over as poor composition placement of ads disrupts all Can t read Poor Production exReader

Every morning I tap Sync Articles in Himalaya Reader and then start my morning routine By the time I sit down for breakfast I have all the articles from my favorite newspapers The Times The Post The Guardian LA Times All articles not just a few news feeds Himalaya Reader manages all articles for me I never have to worry about how the new articles come and the old ones disappeared All I know is that I tap the Sync and I get the latest newspaper At breakfast and later on the bus to work I would skim through the entire paper quickly by fast forwarding from article to article saving the few article of interest and skipping though the rest Himalaya makes this really easy for me to skim through an entire paper in a few minutes It is really like one scan through the front page of a physical paper to pick up a couple of articles to read Throughout of the day I would revisit my saved articles All my articles are automatically bookmarked and each article always brings me back to where I left off in my last reading Himalaya Reader works almost like my little assistant Lovely little app one tap to Download an entire paper ay&y
Can t read in Landscape mode sluggish poor UI There are better reader apps dor your iPad Yawn Crossone
Handy and attractive an app with great possibilities but it won t flip horizontal on my device That counts as a major drawback to me When that changes it could become an essential app Much potential but flawed for my usage Ex-Realtor
When using an app I often get puzzled with apps that provide little direction on one extreme or too much info on the other extreme With Himalaya Reader I get to use the App with my very first tap The instructions are provided in the context of using it I never have the slightest hesitation as to what to do next Once I get a hang of it all the instructions just disappeared This is how a smart map should be built Always providing help when in need and when in need ONLY This is how a smart app should be built cal_12
There may be a great app in here but after launching it and being presented with a lot of confusing popups I immediately left the app This really needs a major overhaul from an interaction perspective Shocking how bad the user interaction is Kerning1
Much faster to access and read articles then waiting for safari to render and bring the reader option wonderful app articlereader
This is the app I almost use everyday to read NY Times and other news online It is nice and clean I can not imagine reading anything online using anything else again The author did a remarkable job and provided a much needed service to online readers Way to go Wonderful online reading experience qmh99
This is a recommended App by Project Gutenberg and I initially used it to browse the tens of thousands of free Gutenberg books But recently I discovered that I could also use it to download the entire Washington Post with just One tap in about One minute mobile version I carry the Post with me and read it with leisure on the way to work or occasionally on the beach Articles always display the page I left off when I return to it I never have to figure out which articles I was reading a while ago nor have to scroll through a long page to find where I last left off I just tap Save whenever I find any article of interest and finish reading it later whenever I get time This is extremely helpful for reading long articles I never bothered to write any app review before but this app creator deserves some praise Download the entire Washington Post ts80ol
Formerly good app especially for Gutenberg Now it no longer allows me to resume where I left off but gives me chapter headings And these don t change even after I ve read for a while Also too often I m interrupted by needless reminders how to turn a page Please fix these And make a great app Update is flawed Msteinwp

Just updated to the latest version and I was stunned by how beautiful my NY Times articles read in my iPad mini 1 With one tap I can download all articles form NYT not just top news feed but all articles 2 Every article is transformed into a little book allowing to flip through it page by page horizontally 3 I can jump between articles with a simple vertical flip Most lovely of all I get the article title showing on the page header and page number on the footer And the page turns gracefully and naturally like a real book Thank you Himalaya Reader developer for your great work Himalaya reader vs Pocket
