I bought the book for 60 dollars or whatever the price is and now all it does is crash I go on to the app and it immediately crashes Waste ajfirmani
It IS huge so you have to set your iPad not to go to sleep while it downloads but once it downloads it s amazing I only downloaded one set of videos at a time to keep more space open on my iPad you can download it without video and then just download delete the videos in a chapter as you go to save space There s tons of entertaining video that my son can watch over and over he needs repetition breakdowns of the problems in steps self tests so he knew if he understood the info tools it was like having a teacher at home Which is great because I don t remember much Algebra anymore frankly It was easy to navigate and had everything a full blown mathbook would have plus tons of other stuff even Spanish in the glossary which is great because he s studying Spanish as well There are places to take notes and record his teacher he takes his iPad to class and everywhere else And you don t need internet once you download it so he can take it when we travel I love it Saw this won a Webby so tried it out LOVE it MaxiKat13
Unfortunately this program doesn t even start up properly I guess I ll have to ask for my 60 dollars back It takes a very long time to install I can t imagine techs having to install this on many iPads in a school That would be a nightmare and then it not even working Needs a lot more work Maybe start small then work to a bigger better product Won t start itextware
Not sure wether to buy this common core version or the standard version What exactly is the difference Also after you purchase this app can you download a couple of chapters at a time and delete them as you download newer ones Apple why are folks complaining about lack of customer support It s making a lot of us leery about possibly wasting 60 bucks I really want this book for my algebra challenged 14 year old daughter but after reading the reviews about crashes etc I m afraid to click buy Apple s ALL SALES ARE FINAL mentality won t let me do this Downloaded the free sample shell but stwebb
The app is free but doing anything with it costs an extra 59 99 It comes with a little introductory material but that s not enough even to tell what level the book is at 59 99 is not free GianniTriCity
This is a great app that can be used in an algebra 1 classroom Each lesson has a video that helps a student better understand the material It is an excellent comparison to the traditional textbook Looking forward for a trig and cal App Excellent application Emo456
This interactive textbook is better than expected The lessons are well organized with each concept building on the next Written explanations are illustrated well and the video explanations are super helpful This is definitely a classroom in a textbook with great teaching and plenty ot practice exercises and tests I m also doing the HMH Geometry textbookmand finding it every bit as good Well worth the price Please also make a trigonometry and calculus apps as well Very well done Godless morality
Buggy installation Lots of crashes attempting to install content after downloading the app Uses a LOT of available storage Very slow and jerky on iPad 1 Schools that would buy a 16gb iPad will be disappointed that there is so little room for apps once this is installed However if I sent this with a student who had no internet at home the child would be just fine Some of the graphs are difficult to read without zooming The text zooms fine but graphics what you are actually trying to see more clearly pixelate Takes a long time for the screen to resize The whole book is not very responsive Scrolling and button presses are frustrating I quit all of the other apps running to see if that would make a difference Not much I would have to see a much more convincing demonstration before attempting to use this in a classroom as it is On the plus side this represents a big leap away from the printed page There is a certain amount of interactivity and feedback as the learner works through it This is a fine start and must represent a major effort I d like to study the results of this software in a classroom sized group but not unless the app works a lot more smoothly The publisher is trying to preserve the old business model expensive texts and frequent editions while putting them in a new wrapper My hunch is that they are going to see competition from a variety of sources in the next few years I think the market will help set the price for apps like this I think the real value will be somewhere between the 59 per license for this and the cost of the extremely helpful but more primitive as well as free Khan Academy Maybe combine Wolfram Course Assistants Khan Academy and a web based source of curriculum material based upon the Common Core Add to that some central data storage and a learner could proceed at his her own pace This app is called Algebra I I think the Common Core standards might work better at the middle high school level if the learner had access to standards based material from all of the math areas that are to be taught at a particular grade An eighth grader will be expected to learn and be able to solve problems from algebra geometry trigonometry and statistics I think it would be tough to license enough books while buying iPads of sufficient storage capacity to handle all of that I see great possibilities here It is exciting to see a developer get away from the book model and present content in so many different ways This really does demonstrate some of the iPad s potential as a source of curriculum material for students That being said I would not buy it now The mechanics of using it and waiting for it in the classroom are too frustrating Someday this will be great Not today Jon San
This app is a great interactive version of a high school algebra 1 book but it takes about a gigabyte worth of space if you download the videos as well That is way too much space and for that reason I m working on getting a refund Great but Daniel7832
This app is a ridiculous 9Gb once you download all of the chapters 9Gb Sort this out or it won t matter how great your content is supposed to be How large is this App Total FAIL JW1977
Have purchased the app 3 days ago paid 59 99 plus tax the app does not run it is asking for payment again to open the app you need a code contacted the HMH company they said the problem is with Apple contacted the iTunes store they told me to go back to the HMH company and until now I am lost and no help from either of them in the horizon my money lost no refund do not know what to do Stupid Shirinalzebari
The Algebra Fuse Application is the most cutting edge instructional textbook on the current If used correctly it will no doubt open the door to higher level mathematics to tremendous number of students Algebra One is the Gateway to Comprehensive Mathematics Understanding with the addition of the Fuse Application Those doors to understanding just opened a lot wider to a large number of students who may have struggled with the traditional method of print instruction How can you not be excited to have Dr Berger as your personal Math Coach on every lesson of instruction With the new additions to the Common Core Fuse Application it will also allow teachers to provide much better classroom support to students as they navigate the Fuse Program My advice to schools considering a more cognitive approach to boosting Algebra performance in the classroom would to make the investment for at least those students who may have been targeted as under performers The Fuse Application will change those students perception of Algebra and open up huge future career opportunities to them Thanks to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Apple and Dr Berger for the foresight to develop this incredible teaching and learning tool Wonderful Tool A Converted Soul Brother
Actually this product is precisely what I was after for my son It contains material that is closest to the actual curriculum being studied and the videos and study material provided is outstanding Yes you have to pay 59 99 to actually buy all of the course material you get Chapter 2 for free It s well worth it but should be noted that to download every single chapter with all videos you need about 8 GB of space Do not try to install this with less than 1GB free Excellent Quality cwizardtx
first off took it a half hour to load Second you have to but the 60 textbook to use it WASTE OF TIME WORTHLESS ArtsyAlexis
