On a raspberry pi with an ARMv61 this was a waste I was worried about the config file and this thing had me reinstall several times doubting myself Couldn t get their version of homebridge to launch once let alone actually install it anywhere Found the right instructions and installed on a fresh noobs install and viola Buyer beware If you are this far down the rabbit hole you might as well install it yourself                 Waste of time Zach Bovard

Tried to use this with my already running raspberry pi zero Wi Fi After app finished homebridge would not stay running Using the app it could not repair home bridge Erased the Pi Installed pi operating system from scratch per app instructions then attempted to use app to install homebridge At the point where App wanted to configure Wi Fi I let it go It rebooted the pie and the pie was dead a couple of broken icons in the menu bar and a frozen mouse at each reboot Erased the Pi I installed again per directions in the app with the intent of not letting it configure Wi Fi at the end App finished it s config made the telephone sound and then crashed Opening a back up showed that home bridge could again not stay running This app seems to crash repeatedly while trying to use it to diagnose or repair homebridge Pre App 6 attempts at hand install minimal success but better than this app Homebridge eventually becomes unstable and won t stay running a central theme to the hobbyware Installing home bridge on raspberry pi with nodejs is a miserable experiment in incompatibilities defective system configuration scripts and poor software development The hope was this app could bypass the configuration issues and make it a little easier So far several hours in no joy in this app either Had such high hopes for this app         No Joy Wm.

I have set up numerous hot bridges and I have to say that this app is a huge time saver It has many fantastic features such as simplifying renaming a Homebridge when needing to re add it to HomeKit                 Great for experienced users too DAHM

I already had homebridge installed Wanted to use this as an easy way to manage homebridge and my pi App installed but says homebridge isn t running Well it is running considering I use the home app Email to support resulted in no response Disappointed     Can t Connect steve772

The concept of this app is good but it can only set up a Pi over ethernet It really needs to be able to deal with Wi Fi only scenarios Once set up it only supports a handful of Homebridge plugins natively By the time you do manual setup for Wi Fi and manual configuration of unsupported plugins you might as well have done everything without the app Also minus a star because the app crashed the first time I used it         Nice idea but lacking douglsmith

Don t waste your money on this until the developer provides a video or manual on how to use the generic plugs I like the idea of what this app can do but it s very limited with what it can do until you can use the generic plugs for platform and accessories I m going to scrap the install this did and do it all manually and forgot this app until he updates it and or provides a manual         It s over priced for an app that needs manual Mariosm

Tinkering with a Pi and Homebridge is by definition going to get techy especially the moment something breaks This app and process got me up and running but due to the lack of supported plugins I immediately outgrew it and had to start manually installing and configuring things Still this app helped me learn how I could do some of that work and it helps me monitor my Homebridge so there is value But if I try the auto repair I lose all my own work And because of odd Homebridge crashes not related to this app probably related to a plugin or network issue I need to restart manually I want to run my Homebridge as a systemd service so I ll probably be rebuilding everything manually As I said this got me started and has been helpful but                 Got me started but VdkaShaker

To get this installed I had to load my RaspberryPi with their Noobs OS But then I still had to go back and run the install option for Pi is already setup THEN Homebridge would run successfully I am still looking for info on what to put into the various field for manual Install Specifically what goes into the Accessory Platform Key field Without this the package Install fails             Pretty Good app Better or any documentation for Manual package install needed Natesmomnpop

This app helped me get my Raspberry Pi3 setup with HomeBridge super fast and easy Yes I could have set it up myself but I chose to try the app and I was not disappointed It does need more platform support I was still able to manually install the WeMo platform                 A great app for Beginners SharksFan09

I have a pi and one edison i have config the edison and i have the same problem that cant find the bridge I will figure out I think its great everyone who start a project at the beginning have some things to adjust and i can imagine all what they have to do to get everything in this platform i think is awesome thanks and i hope this going to get better                 Good start Julianfez
