Not intuitive at all Information is not accurate and consistent     Worst app

The next transport search is amazing but only when the bus youre waiting for actually has a GPS When the bus has a GPS you get a realtime estimate for the arrival of your bus This would make Houston public transit so much more usable No more 30 min waits at the bus stop in the blazing sun or pouring rain would be a dream come true Some days all of my bus routes have realtime tracking and other days Im only able to get the scheduled time of arrival For anyone whos ever used the bus system in this city you know the scheduled time is basically meaningless When the realtime tracking isnt available youre much better off using Google Maps Its faster and easier to use Ive been hearing promises of GPS in all buses for years Glad to see its finally functioning in some buses I guess thats an improvement Overall the app is fine The limitations are with the bus system           Need more buses with GPS

Yeah Google Maps always knows whats up with the buses and the routes Looks like I only need to take 1 bus and walk some near my destination with GM but with this app I have to take the bus and walk and then another bus and walk some more Yeah right what a waste of time Thanks for trying though        Ugh Google Maps way better

Clunky and cumbersome Advertises that it will tell you when your bus is coming but Ive watched the bus pull up yet nothing on the map Like Metro lots of promises and nothing delivered     Utterly useless

Id give it zero stars if I could Here is an example of more tax dollars wasted to design an app that doesnt work Occasionally it will allow you to plan a route from point A to point B but why have favorites if they never load And you can FORGET about searching by the route number Ugh     Pathetic

The app looks nice but doesnt work Trip planner returns Sorry no results Also just a simple search for the Bay Area Park and Ride returned sorry no results Hopefully it can be fixed        Good Start needs work

The Real Time tells me buses have passed my stop as I stand I watch them at the stop light not a problem when youre at the stop but if you go to the restroom you will think you missed only to buy something and see it pass Happened a few times to me whats the point of knowing the Real Time of the bus if you have to stand at the stop the whole time anyway The app works for trip planning only to know how long it will take the buses run five minutes late Ive talked to a few drivers and they do it on purpose to get more people So the bus youre on is late but the next one you need is on time you miss it     In need of working GPS

This app has never worked for me since I downloaded it a month ago if they expect people to use it they should really work on it No stars from me     Doesnt work

This app would be so much better if only they would tie it to the transponders on the buses so you could get a realtime figure for how long until the next bus As it is it simply parrots what the printed schedule says If you ride the bus in Houston you know that what time the bus is SUPPOSED to arrive bears zero relation to what time it actually WILL arrive        Could be so much better

Very easy to use very helpful It is now much easier for me to get around town using the bus This app gives me more confidents on riding public transit I absolutely recommend downloading The app                 Best Public Trip Planner yet

Worked fine 9215 Now it doesnt even load nor passes information to help you on your way For sure needs a update ASAP Errors when loading when planning a trip or finding your location     Not working

If you like a wild goose chase this is the app for you Such a fail its not even funny     Wildly inaccurate

There are no quick maps available to look at and the program did not work for planning a route from the nearby park to buffalo bayou You cannot place pins on the map to select your path I guess it wants specific addresses     Useless

I started riding Metro to avoid buying a second car now that I have a new teenage driver having never utilized public transit I downloaded the Metro Trip app to help me figure out what buses to take My first two weeks were a learning experience I enjoyed a scenic drive along one entire bus route because I didnt know that the bus I saw going South wasnt the same bus I saw going North ten minutes later Positives The next transport tells you what buses are near your locations Useful for deciding in my case if I should take bus 33 or 70 Why wait for 33 if 70 a short walk away is closer They both go to the NW Transit Center If I have to take a different bus downtown I can easily use the plan a trip option to determine WHICH buses go to the NW Transit Center Negatives The schedules utilized throughout the app are absolutely useless in Houston The app has Real time and Scheduled times neither of which is worth a darn Actually its what motivated me to write the review Real time showed that I had five minutes until the bus arrived As I walked towards the bus stop I saw the tail end of the bus that was supposed to be 5 minutes away as it turned at the road after my stop So I get to wait another 15 min until the next bus You can only go forward when using the plan a trip meaning if Im trying to plan a trip tomorrow afternoon I have to be planning it for later than my current time I cant look at the earlier schedules Positive I enjoy letting Metro do the driving My drive home sitting in traffic would be about an hour It takes half of that riding Metro and I enjoy reading or trying to beat the next level of Candy Crush           Its not horrible but it has frustrating issues

If you ride the bus in Houston you need this app Very accurate within a few minutes although it says Realtime Suffice to say this citys traffic would render real time useless                 Great App

Does not work at all on new iPhone 6 with iOS 8 Before was at least 3 star app Was fairly accurate at letting you know when the next bus would arrive not just the schedule     Needs update for iOS 8 andor iPhone 6

I tried the app today when I got to the bus stop The real time scheduled was showing the bus would arrive in 3m Surely enough after 3m the bus was there This is great Now I know exactly when to leave the office to get the bus on time Excellent App                 Real Time Bus Schedule

I downloaded the Metro App when I got my new iPhone 5S From day one it crashed after the first selection on the Main Menu They finally fixed it after a couple of months Now none of the times are accurate They clearly have no clue of how to incorporate GPS accurately for the buses while in motion Dont waste your time installing this     Useless App

If you dont grant the app location access it is completely unusable Without granting access the app is stuck for every function it continually spins trying to figure out where you are even if you want to enter a different starting location An app should have the option to determine your location but it shouldnt require it even Apple Maps doesnt require your current location to function Its great that Metro is thinking in this direction an app for locating buses but they need to correct this basic flaw Also isnt that Apples icon for the green radar symbol Isnt that copywrited     Only functions with location access

I dont understand why the fourth largest city in the country STILL doesnt have a decent app It sure would be nice to see bus schedules and let us plan when we want to ride not just when the next bus will potentially arrive     Useless

This is the most inaccurate and crappy app just like the real time transit it supports Buses never run when scheduled interface is crap times are off I hate this like I hate this crappy transit system     Id rate this a zero if I could

Its actually pretty accurate When it comes to late night it can be hit or miss              Pretty good

This app functions just barely enough to be usable Dont expect this to be good looking easy to navigate or user friendly Very limited functionality Can barely pull up estimated arrival times        Functions barely

Not sure if my app updated to a new version or not but its been malfunctioning for about a week now Whenever I pull up the app it shows an orange button that says error which is about as non descriptive error message as you can have Please restore this to the prior version which worked consistently           It used to work good

5th largest city in the USA Billions of taxpayer money wasted You couldnt plot a trip on this app if you had 5 days to work on it Metro you should be ashamed     Shocked

In detail this app will have a real time counter that is supposed to tell you in how many minutes the bus will reach you This real time feature is essentially a lie If you make the logical assumption that this feature would mean that the app is tracking the GPS location of the bus and comparing it to how far away your bus stop is you are wrong Oftentimes the real time counter will tell you that the bus has already passed your stop by displaying the time until the next bus arrives when in fact the bus has never passed you The real time counter will tell you that a bus is at your stop when it is nowhere near you Despite how irritating this is the only thing more irritating is when you call Metro customer service to tell them about this problem and you are told that you must not understand how the system is supposed to work instead of writing down your complaint and submitting it for resolution I hate your buses Metro Your trains are so regular and wonderful but your buses make me incredibly angry and frustrated Your app is the icing on the completely nonfunctional street transport system around the medical center        Often more frustrating than helpful

This app is horrible All i want to do is figure out what time does my bus come The mobile website would tell u when the bus was coming but now they force you to use the App This app is very difficult to use when you want to look for a basic bus schedule The app says it does but I literally watched the bus pull up in front of me but it was no where on my app if even being in sight Back to the drawing board Metro        Bring back the website with route info

Despite what the information on the app says the Houston TRIP app is not compatible with my 3 year old iPhone 3G with IOS 4x iTunes refused to install the app on my phone stating that it needed a newer version of IOS Seems incongruous that a public agency only provides certain services to those wealthy enough to shell out 200 every six months for the latest phone btw all Metro buses are equipped with GPS But a lot of the drivers turn it off so their bosses dont know where they are     Only works on newest phones

Very rarely does a bus arrive when predicted Not even close Just today I had TWO buses that were apparently invisible pass me by even though the app said they were RT realtime Bull crap Its 2015 METRO Give us an app with realtime locations of buses on a map     Inaccurate Garbage

Whoever wrote this made the around me GPS feature pretty limited It can only look for 3 miles or less around you Bump that up to 23 miles to be more useful You lost 1 star on this Location search needs to be able to access my address book Thats a deadpan simple API lack of this is exactly why you lost 3 stars The Houston Metro area desparately needs a real rail system that follows the main lanes to the suburbs The 2 hour estimate to go less than 30 miles is a joke     Its ok metro is the joke though

This app is one of the most frustrating one I use The times are very SELDOM correct     Close to useless

I havent really studied the trip planning function yet but since Im one a those ppl with the same stuff diff day life I just need to know when my bus is coming in real time this app is perfect for that I will from now on promote this app to erryone else thats waiting at bus stops Im at that has a smart phone cuz not errybody in buses have good phones or anyone who asks me when the bus is coming at least Thanks for this hidden gem metro                 Perfect 4 me
