I m a huge Earwolf fan and this used to be my go to podcast app however it s no longer being updated and I m constantly getting logged out         LOVE this app goldlyon

As others have stated on here they like to charge early because the app redirects you to the iTunes subscription page rather than their own internal page so that if you d signed up through their website if you try to cancel through the app you might be lulled into thinking that you re good to go since the sub doesn t show up on the page they send you to I m planning on filing a chargeback with my credit card issuer and encourage other victims of their service to do the same Edit I looked at the day I sent them an email asking for a refund and it was at least a day before they should have actually charged me So definitely filing chargeback claim Update 2 I submitted evidence to my bank that they charged me early still refused to refund me Got my refund today So definitely file a claim if you were charged early they gave you bull about their policy     Refuse to refund even if it s justified startswithaj

First off in response to the other reviews complaining about having to pay for full access tough crap people Like it or not this is a capitalist society we or at least most of we live in and the great podcasters and comedians who put stuff out for us all to enjoy have eat and pay bills just the same as we do At first I was skeptical about paying for a podcast streaming service as well since podcasts are traditionally free but hey its less per month than a Patreon donation and you get so much great material Bite the bullet and get a Howl FM account and you won t regret it When it comes to the app itself though I do have some issues This is not as streamlined a service as the basic iOS podcast app I can favorite things but not subscribe to them so I have to dig through the favorites list to find what series I want to listen to Trying to organize a play next list gets complicated if you want to listen to podcasts not in the same series or even in the same series but out of chronological order you need to create a playlist which is a hassle I don t have time for most days I would like to see an easier tag search function that can find other podcasts various people have appeared for instance I d like to be able to click the photo of Paul F Tompkins on a series home page and be able to see what other stuff he has available across the archive TL DR Howl fm Premium is worth it screw the haters The app itself is fine but improvements could certainly be made and I m sure are indeed on the way                 Great Archive Alright App Spideycow

I wasn t super happy to see some of my favorite podcast episodes put behind a paywall but whatever I decided to play ball and give this a shot There are some good things here but not much and it seems like they aren t making much effort to add new content There are a lot of things that look like they could be promising but they only have a couple of episodes It s also weird that they don t just have all the earwolf stuff up on Howl Overall it seems kind of slapdash and poorly conceived I m generally willing to pay for something worthwhile but unless they start adding a ton of new stuff with some regularity I can t see myself wanting to pay for more than a few months of this If you re going to ask people to pay for stuff they can get elsewhere for free comedy podcasts aren t in short supply you need to make it valuable             Whiny dudebros aside louislouislouislouis

Aside from being a poorly designed app prone to bugs the vast majority of the content just isn t good I m a huge fan of Comedy Bang Bang and to my disappointment all of the episodes older than 6 months have recently been stashed behind the pay wall of Howl Premium that s right the free version of the app is virtually useless I d be more than happy to pay for the full catalogue but a monthly subscription to a sub par platform with mostly otherwise cruddy shows just isn t worth it to me     Just no Flop Wokerma'am
