Five stars for everything this application does because those features are excellent I withhold one star from the overall rating due to the basic list of features that this application offers If all you want to do is turn on and off your Hue Lights individually change the light s color and create simple groupings then look no further Huemote does that fantastic This application is light weight responsive and very stable If you are looking for more advanced features like wifi fencing grouped light adjustments or scheduled timers move on to another application Excellent controller basic feature set A terrible artist

The app is clean very simple to use After using this app for the last 2 years I m am only now running into an issue when opening the app As soon as I open the app I get the search for Hue bridge button Upon tapping it the app will constantly search for my bridge but never find it nor will it tell me it wasn t found Maybe a small update will fix this issue Still I give this app 5 stars over ease of use and setup Most simple Hue app around Nickschaefer1980

Just installed a bunch of hue lights white ambiance and then disabled all of our in wall switches Needed a simple control panel to be used on our home iPad that could turn on off the lights This is the only one with a very clean interface as a lock screen widget The only problem and it s a problem with all widgets is it can t query the current state of the bulbs So you have to press the icon twice to turn off a room This is true for the default Hue app as well It just bothers me that the icons indicate a room is on when I know it s not A simple UI UX fix would just to not even indicate the state of the bulb That s what the default Hue app does but their icons are big and ugly to begin with Great and Simple ichibanS

I have a Hue at my apartment so I use the Hue app But since my parents have Hue I need another app to connect to another bridge This one is the most straightforward control app No real frills just dimming color control onoff It gets the job done when Im at home for extended periods of time I use this for my parents Hue

They did a wonderful job at making this app Its simple yet doesnt cut out features other than the Photo Scenes and the light recipes that Phillips Hue has even though the Light Recipes dont work with the strips anywaybut thatll be on my review for them I like how they designed it and I like the simple logos I even like the black background most of the time I prefer white The only two things that I ask for at this point is a widget for the Notification Center and a photo scene and they have it all in the bag Better than the Phillips App

This is a really nice app for controlling Hue and the watch companion app is well designed as well I like being able to set dimmers see color and onoff status while viewing all my lights Most other apps have you click on the individual light and take you to a separate screen to make these adjustments The watch app offers a great selection of preset colors and I cant wait for this to be a native app when watchOS 2 releases Occasionally loses sync with light status This may be because Im using alarms through the Philips Hue app and also some automation through the SmartThings hub Overall a great app and look forward to more features Great designSometimes loses sync

So first of all this is a very intuitive and easy to use app Setting it up creatingmodifying groups and the overall control scheme are all fantastically implemented Its one of the few that the color of your hue will change as you move your finger around the color wheel and not just once you lift it This lets you really fine tune in those colors My only complaint is it can be really glitchy at times especially when you are controlling more lights at once For this reason Im rating it as average and giving it just 3 stars A great app and definitely one of the best on the market but with much room for growth and features such as easily saved presets I actually use it in conjunction with another app to get what I want from my Hues Great App Kinda Glitchy
I have several Hue compatible apps even made the mistake of paying for one that I dont like This app is simple it does what its supposed to Only one suggestion a lock screen widget Cant get any simpler and useful than this
