The scanner works well with iPhone 4 and 4s as well as iPads with 30 pin The shaper image web page says will work with iPhone 5 with adapter It doesnt I tried two different adapters Neither worked I know the adapters were ok because when I plugged the phone to scanner the computer indicated the connection was made I plugged the scanner to a USB port on my computer When I tried to scan something a message on my iPhone 5 said the scanner was not turned on or not connected A bit disappointed If you still have a 30 pin device it works well Works good with prelightening connection
