I actually just found this app because there was a VO audition for it I bought it used it and sent it to the agency Now I dont have to use my garageband to record and go through the trouble of converting it to mp3 when this app does it for you I should give it a 4 star just cause its a little slow and closes when I dont need to but I guess you just have to be patient I also would love it if I can take a clip from 1 recording and paste it to the one youre currently working on Would be great                 Love itpretty easy to use

Good recorder but FTP doesnt work Its my own locally hosted FTP server and I know it works perfectly in any other instance Anyway that makes this app pretty useless for me        FTP doesnt work

I was just about ready to delete this off of my iPhone because it kept crashing But I noticed that there is a new version update The new version update for this application is much more stable Not all of the new changes are positive though The Record interface was much nicer on the older version I am disappointed in the changes made to the recording interface I would ask that the developer please add an option to use that GUI to record instead of the ugly red record circle Also the shown level used to be more detailed when recording Now it is so simple no detailed audio level info just a vague bar ahhhh I dont like your new GUI This version is more stable though Audio sound quality much nicer clearer then some other recording Apps I have used the audio edit nice great add on Needs a clear exit button yo get out of audio edit mode Getting in is easy getting out is hard The audio edit lacks extra edits like fade in and fade out and reverb I recommend using audacity to edit audio created here Moving around this app is confusing The export options in this version of the application are much better than what they used to be in the old version This has been improved Needs polishing 3 stars           New version

I bought this app because I needed the ability to record decent quality mp3s Most of the recording apps out there either are for speech low quality or else record in lossless formats that take up an amount of space utterly unjustified by the iPhones mic iAudition allows me to record mp3s of rehearsals in good quality but at mp3 compression ratios Although I appreciate that it can do this iAudition is really quite a disaster Problems It does not allow wifi transfers necessitating the use of email for large files for all those without convenient access to some sort of FTP service Wifi transfer capability is essential and I personally would very much like to see dropbox integration as well the editing feature as far a I can tell simply doesnt work it is slow and crashes frequently On one occasion it even decided it would shut off my phone all by itself and delete the recording it had just made iAudition has potential but is not at present worth the money        Needs a lot of work

Ive been a fan of the app for about a year now I even booked a gig from it It was great when I was traveling or working another job and needed to get something to my agent quickly This week though it just stopped working I had an audition stuck on preparing for too long and it timed out I tried re savingre titling my file and even re recording it but nothing worked Whats worse is that I tried contacting the company both through the app and their website to two different addresses to see if they could help me troubleshoot and both attempts bounced back as undeliverable Im mostly disappointed in the customer Svc since the app worked well up until this glitch Luckily my agent was able to wait until I could get home to post the audition from my home studio but now I need to start looking for a new app before its too late     Its great until you miss an audition because it doesnt work

This application has promise but there are a few shortcomings 1 Application quits if you leave it on record and try to pull up the script from your mail program so you have to get your copy printed or hand write it which defeats the purpose 2 Editing is not Apple intuitive You dont use a finger to drag and select 3 When you cut a piece sound noise or breathfor example the program automatically drags the rest of the file forward so that the whole file is made shorter by that amount Thats trouble if you want to keep the timing you put in If these things were corrected it would be a great piece of software        Has potential but not there yet

I have used loved this app for over a year now but Im now getting an error last night and this morning that is preventing me from emailing my auditions to my agent I dont care how great this app is if I suddenly cant send an audition its more than useless        Unable to obtain info on proxy servers

I gave been working with this app the past week since Pocket Wavepad crashed due to the 43 update On two occasions I recorded songs edited them but after saving the waveform totally disappeared in editing mode it looked like the file was empty The file still played from the Title List and opened in editing mode but it was otherwise empty Has that happened to anyone Luckily the file could still be sent to my computer for further editingbut until this glitch is fixed I wont use this app for anything urgent           Editing feature disappears

This app does a great job of recording audio in a clear format I havent utilized much of the editing functions so cant comment on those It also allows for quick file conversation and uploademail I did have one issue and the customer service email responseinteraction from them was FANTASTIC Timely and extremely helpful                 Great app

I am a professional voice actor and I do auditions all the time I own several voice recording applications that are mostly created for lecture recordings or music iAudition has been created with the Voice Actor in mind Most of the other recording apps use different formats that are high quality like wav or aiff which are nice but unnecessary for auditions This is the first app Ive seen offering direct MP3 recording which has become the standard in the VO industry because it is not a heavy format and yet has a decent quality With iAudition I dont have to convert anything It is already in the required standard Another great feature is the click and email button It saves me tons of time Unlike in other apps I dont need a WiFi or BlueTooth connection nor typing all those tedious address numbers on the browser of my computer I can send my audition directly from the app The interface is among the simplest and intuitive I have seen although It still has room for improvement The zoom in the editing mode is very limited I also would like to be able to cut the breathings and gaps of room ambiance without the clips snapping together Right now the app does the equivalent to shuffle mode in ProTools Not always helpful It would be great if we could also slide the clips so we can position them wherever we need them to be That would be of great help I have also seen other apps offering the script option none of them have a scrolling teleprompter yet Include that and Ill come back with 5 stars Great job so far              Created with the voice actor in mind

Update 1014 I just noticed that the developer updated this app which I had longago deleted I was excited to try it again since I was able to edit using the waveforms of recordings I had made After attempting to edit a recording I found that the app was still incredibly buggy and would not work properly Also the sound quality was not up to snuff Hey developer please fix this app so that we might use it again for our voiceover auditions Until then Im going back to my other tried and true app on my iPhone Ive been using this app for over a year and even gotten voice over jobs after sending in auditions with this app Ever since iOS 7 came along this app can no longer send an MP3 that is openable by anyone anywhere Please fix this app so that we can all continue to do on the move auditions when we cant do it from our studios at home        iOS 81 version still broken guys

This app use to be the only thing I used on my IpadIphone for recording audition on the go for my agent But now for whatever reason the file exports are all corrupted and cant be opened even in quicktime Its completely unuseable     Use to work but

Not for top brand auditions but if agy asks for a pronto read to run by a client you can certainly do that I hope they make improvements http avail across web tune editor but for the moment its well worth the five bucks              Good Nuff

It may not be the prettiest recording app but it definitely gets the job done jumped right in and started recording Editing was simple and audio file arrived as an MP3 pretty quickly after sending it Sound quality was goodor at least as good the mic on my iPad will allowthink Ill try a usb mic next time Pretty happy so far              Happy camper

This hasnt been updated in two months and three huge unforgivable problems persist 1 Your file may or may NOT encode to mp3 before sending it and theres often no way to know because 2 Sending a file doesnt always work Ive sent test files to myself and they generally do not arrive 3 Editing is absolutely broken If you have one edit you SHOULD be ok But if you two or more cuts want to eliminate breath or make a cut and paste forget it The program will cut way more than you selected paste in the wrong section will cut from the front of your audio file and leave you with your second paragraph as the beginning of the file and on and on The only hope you have is if you either a do an absolutely perfect read or b have only one cut to make Anything more than that and youre asking this program too much Whats taking so long to fix these They shouldve been fixed a month ago DO NOT BUY THIS UNTIL THEY FIX IT     Editing Broken MP3s not encoding cannot send files

I tried to send via FTP The file never showed up I checked the FTP parameters by sending from the command line from another computer and I know the FTP server is set up and receiving correctly I audition is not connecting with my server or is doing something wrong Since the file never arrives clearly there has been an error but this app does not seem to check for errors or diagnose them As a recorder it is great and I like being able to mail the mp3           Problematic FTP

I have a brand new iPhone 5s and iAudition is sometimes sort of OK in a pinch But as another reviewer wrote In edit mode it moves to landscape view but the popup menu stays in portrait so you cant reat the options save and exit exit without saving etc And it is very frustrating to navigate the editing process that way It also messes with the rest of the phone when you try to get out of the app It seems to freeze my phone in landscape mode for a moment before it goes back to portrait view I feel that this app shouldve been free or at the very least cheeper until they worked out the kinks and made it more stable and user friendly           VO Artist

Everything is great but it will not save my editing I tried each way possible to save it but whenever I reopen the app all my work is gone I hate editing Please help           I wish I could love it

Paid 799 last year for this and it worked great Now I try to use it again and it keeps crashing Im on a deadline so this is very annoying I want my 799 back     Doesnt work

I have always liked this app and used it for several auditions It was convenient and had good sound quality but now I cant use it with iOS 7 and Im very disappointed I hope this is fixed soon In the meantime I need to find a different app     Doesnt work with iOS 7

Sending an audio file takes forever A one min audio takes 4 minutes to prep for sending AND there is no prep in the bkgrnd so you have to keep coming back There is no send and forget Naming files is also primitive No time stamp No last used rename option Support is flabby and slow too        Slow and clunky

Loses sections of sound files during editing process Lost countless takes or parts of audition takes Was awake til 2am trying to edit this nonsense Also In edit mode it moves to landscape view but the popup menu stays in portrait so you cant read the options save and exit exit without saving etc just cant believe how much of my time this wasted And that I PAID for it Oh not to mention that I emailed for help and no response I want my money back Ugh I wish this thing would answer my needs for onthego VO auditioning but it just doesnt     Loses sections of sound file

What a great app It does everything an auditioning voice talent needs Record easily edit quickly and send off The quality even through an Ipad built in microphone is great Editing is simple and is set up like a simple Protools Only drawback is everything you edit snaps into a shuffle mode Perhaps they will add some plugins like a noise reduction or eq later Well worth the price of 499              Quick Easy Timesaver

Ive been using Iaudition for a week now with my Audio Technica AT2020 USB mic Pros Simple to use and well thought out Converts to 128k mp3 attaches file to email automatically Cons Editing tool seems hard to use and Ive been doing digital editing for 20 years If you are looking for a quick way to audition on the fly this would be my choice kind of the point and shoot version of auditioning software Hard to make a mistake but not a lot of bells and whistles either              Excellent tool for auditioning on the go

This has not worked with iOS 7 since day one Even the Apple Stores email to the their support was returned undeliverable It has been months theres no excuse     Shame on the makers of this product

The program is easy to use and I like that it converts to mp3 and that it displays a progress bar when sending unlike other apps Ive tried The editing feature is nice and overall great for quick auditions in a pinch It does however seem to crash when inputting a file name and the sound seems thinner than on other apps Ive tested like iRig Recorder If you could beef up the sound quality and fix the crash issues it would be a great little app           Nice could be better

Update this thing PLEASE Pros you get an mp3 Thats it Cons BUGGY Great app if you enjoy your work being deleted by a crash when you finally nailed a take EVERY TIME guys Crashes VASTLY MORE OFTEN than ANY OTHER APP I HAVE ON MY PHONE Editing commands malfunction several times per take if youre not adept at the microsoft school of saving many backups be prepared to butcher your own hard work with this faulty software I mean i get it its easy to take advantage of actors Especially by charging money for a program that has one infinitesimal but allimportant plus over the competition But why not show some class voice over is a classy industry and update your program so that we can trust it Even if it crashed half as often Id be happy     Cmon guys

Sad cause when it works its great But it crashes often and then its hard or impossible to retrieve files that you recorded before the crash Also the interface is made for the bigger iphone 6 screen so those of us on smaller screens have part of the app cut off That makes it hard to use the editing and renaming features Paid for the app and it doesnt work part of the time        App Crashes a lot interface is for iphone 6

I have used this a lot over the past year or so Initially I had one gripe Id press record and nothing would happen Press again then it starts That problem remains 90 of the time No biggie Now I find that the export to email as MP3 the sole reason I bought this app is getting stuck midway through The little loadingprocessing bar just stops and stays there for 5min or more Necessitating quitting the app and starting over Sometimes it gets all the way through but most of the time it just freezes Im a VO actor and this paired with my Apogee mic is the tool to fire off ASAP auditions when Im on the road Now its just dumped me by the side of the road Its a great app with its editing and export feature Please please please fix EDIT Latest version reduces look of semipro to the built in voice memo app Cutting sections has gone from tricky to terrible now its a hit and miss left and right select tab AND almost impossible to get rid of audio on the far right or left Usually a throat clear or crackle due to end recording You cant select all the way left or right it leaves a half second of audio usually the very noise Im trying to eliminate Only solution is to enlarge to max then select Unnecessary steps Also on iPhone 5s choosing save beings up a menu that is half off the screen Forcing me to rotate to landscape Finally The same export problems remain I tried a dozen times to export but it fails and just freezes on the work dial Never completes export to email        Okay When it Works

Im in the VoiceOver business and my agent demands immediate response for a casting call This is an amazing app that does exactly what agents are wanting now an mp3 labeled and emailed to them at a moments notice This is like having Adobe Audition 15 in your pocket Be on vacation or out of town and never miss a call This app is amazing You can even edit Outstanding and the sound quality is surprisingly good Highly recommended                 Incredibly Handy

Being a voice over talent I am up against alot of competition in the industry I still have a full time job for benefits and to help during those slow months which takes me away from my home studio Many is the time I had missed an audition because of this and LOVED that someone out there was thinking about me Now I just find a quiet corner whereever I am record and edit my audition then send it out This app is NOT meant to replace a professional studioyet For auditions its totally acceptable People seem to be complaining of edit capabilities You cant expect Pro Tools or Adobe Audition for under 10 Spend 15 minutes figuring out the controls and youll be fine Another issue I see is about multitasking It would be great if we could record and view the script at the same time on the same device For now I use a Kindle for the script and IPod Touch for the recording Works out great They both fit in my jacket pocket I applaud Everyday Giants for their customer service as well When I first tried the app I was concerned with the playback quality I was hearing on my device and emailed to complain and sought a refund Silly meI was listening back on my IPod Touch and not my studio duh Realizing my premature complaint I sent the file via email to myself and was amazed that I recieved a response from Mitchell Whitfield at Everyday Giants BEFORE I recieved the file in my inbox Talk about fast Mitchell was happy that I figured out the issue and was now a satisfied customer Cant wait to land my first gig using this Ill keep ya posted                 Not meant to replace professional studioyet
