App runs slow and is buggy I am on a 6 too You have to go through to many screens to do anything Developers seemed concerned when contacted and hopefully will address these issues in future releases        Interface not simple GUI issues

Every update instead of making this app better makes it worse Can not add actual dates to steps taken in brewing to revise schedule Crashes when looking into shopping list Can not delete batches This app is so frustratingly horrible Screens still disappear or are in correctly sized when building recipes I really just want my money back Its that bad and Ive been using for almost a year just keeps getting worse     Horrible bug ridden app

Ive had this app since it first came out and every time they fix something they break a dozen other basic features Currently I cannot edit my equipment profile to update the grain temperature to get a proper infusion temperature for my brew today I also cant import a backed up profile on my iphone On the iPad I cant change the awful color scheme but at least I can edit my profiles Too bad when I import a backup from my iphone the batches dont properly import Not to mention if you enable iCal integration you will get so many pop up reminders at 8am it will drive you bonkers Im in the process of getting a refund and moving my stuff over to another app I would highly recommend you avoid this app I used to think it would get better but as it stands right now that is unfortunately very unlikely Two thumbs way down     Not worth it

This brewing program has everything I need and more I like being able to back up my database to Dropbox                 Nice Program

Importing from ibrewmaster 1 via dropbrox crashes the ibrewmaster 2 app every timedisappointing Update After a huge hassle i got the import to work Now my app wont boot and is frozen Unfortunately the rest of the program is riddled with bugs and often freezes crashes etc my ibrewmaster 1 was a way better app than this piece of junk Go with a different brewing app     Importing from Ibrewmaster 1 doesnt work

Really liked the idea of tracking batches separate from the recipe That is the only thing I like about this program It is buggy ingredients seem to come and go from recipes and batches as they please Ill open a batch or recipe and discover the grain bill missing or the hops changed from East Kent Goldings to Styrian Goldings The next time they could be anything Moving recipes between devices is like my phone and iPad is not easy and whimsical at best In short I was very disappointed with what looked to be a great appI have started using the Brewsmith 2 app and ind it much more dependable and stable     Buggy

Ive tried other programs and this is the best app ever It keeps track of everything There is a bit of a learning curve but worth the effort                 I love this app

Ive used this app for several years and had more than 25 batches saved here Recently I lost all my batch data and the restore from backup function doesnt work Lost all my important batch data Apparently they arent supporting the app any more so I dont have anyway of getting my data back Dont waste your money     Dont get this app Not supported any more

This is an awesome app I have nothing but positive reviews about this app It keeps track of all my recipes and eliminates most if not all of math calculations that sometimes comes with higher level homebrewing The support staff is great and responded to an issue I was having the very next day Highly recommend to all my friends and people here on the app store Keep up the great work definitely worth every dollar                 The Best Homebrew APP

This app frequently locks up inhibiting you from adding any content Additionally it crashes in the process of recording ingredients resulting in a loss of previously added content Very frustrating     Locks up crashes often on iPad

I liked the original version of this app and the second one seems to be an improvement Still pretty buggy but the developer works through the issues and puts out regular updates Keep the good work coming Looking forward to rating this at 5 stars once a few more issues are fixed           Good and getting better

I bought this version because the first version was so great I like the new interface and the app runs better on the newer iOS I then did a test run using the timer for mashing and grainhop additions I realized immediately that the timer does not work Even though your time is up the app will not launch a notification and sound the alarm I was able to replicate this on a couple of iPhones and my iPad I emailed the developer but so far no response Sad to see that this app is an epic fail     Timer Does Not Work

This app functions as if it were coded by a band of children It is genuinely unusable due to constant crashing To the iBM2 team please focus your attention on app stability You can add all the features and calculators in the world but no one will care if the app doesnt run Summary Dont waste your money Buy something else like Beersmith or use one of the other myriad web interfaces free     Unusable

I used to love this app I entered a whole bunch of recipes and data into version 1 If youve done the same DO NOT EXPECT AN EASY TRANSITION TO VERSION 2 Im disappointed that the developers chose to inflict such an onerous migration process on the users rather than make the transition from version 1 to version 2 seamless Dont waste your money     BEWARE

Over the past year Ive brewed over 30 times using this app to track every element from buying grain to brew day to fermentation to bottling It does have some minor bugs that the developers seem to work diligently to correct via updates They are very responsive to email questions and helped me with some setup issues so that I could tune the program to my system I love it              Great program for the home brewer

I really like this app I use it mainly on my iPad It is feature rich very customizable has nice graphics and is easy to use IME there has been no app yet that works perfectly 100 of the time What really sets this app apart is the people behind it The support is outstanding and very responsive to bugs and suggestions to new features It is by far my favorite brewing app                 Great brewing app

After my initial issue of losing everything I downloaded again and found my backup so all is well again I am sure my issue stems from the iCloud feature so make sure you make a backup before you start updating or you will be sorry like I was for awhile                 All is well again

This app has great potential However this long awaited update is loaded with bugs If it doesnt get an internet connection right away it hangs and stops everything on my phone It shuts down unexpectedly when moving between iBrewMaster and another app It also does not show real time results of my inventory without shutting down and re booting Also there is no documentation with the app If you want to learn how to use it you need to download the users manual from the website Then forget finding instructions on how to incorporate the new Water Profile module According to their tech support theyre working on it This app is much improved over the previous version But overall its not worth the money Ive waited a year for this upgrade and this upgrade is nothing more than dangling a carrot Im looking at BrewSmith as a proven and functional homebrewer aide        Many Issues

I also upgraded from iBrewmaster 1 This has the potential to be a great brewing app but it is hampered by bugs in almost every aspect There are bugs importing recipes from the earlier version There are bugs in the mash pH calculations There are bugs is the batch sparge calculationsThere are bugs with saving things I will be using the Brun water spreadsheet to calculate my water profile until this app is fixed Right now it is only good for storing recipes        Buggy

Im really tired of reading reviews about how buggy this app is Have you tried emailing the builders HOLY PETE people These guys reply to emails within 12 days and go out of their way to fix any problem that comes up I have tried many different software packages for beer brewing from the super complex to the very basic and this is the best Ive found so far Its extremely easy to use but still has all the detail necessary to keep accurate track of my brew sessions Its extremely easy to input a recipe and then all I have to do is shoot it over to a batch session and its easy to make any changes that come along during the brew session without changing the master recipe I love that feature Also the back up to dropbox option is clutch especially after my iPad died You guys just keep up the great work You make a product well worth more than the 17 dollars it costs on here PEOPLE PLEASE REMEMBER BUILDING THIS SOFTWARE TAKES TIME TIME TAKES MONEY Dont complain about the price when youre getting what you pay for PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE build this for PC and Mac                 Excellent Product and People

I have been using iBrewmaster since it first came out and recently opted to upgrade to iBrewmaster 2 because of the bundle pricing Unfortunately its very buggy Each time I disregard a new alert app freezes and forces me to relaunch I still cannot sync my database between iPhone and iPad via iCloud even though theyre both enabled according to the direction And I thought we would see a very clean app this time around but the font choice and backgrounds are unlike other clean apps on iOS 8 I want to like this app very much but must switch to something stable and something that presents the information in a clean and clear way     Very buggy

Ive been brewing for several years and kept a detailed log of each brew A good buddy turned me on to this software and I havent regretted it since Ive brewed four times now using this and it has been spot on with calculations and very handy with recipe formulations I havent had any issues at all perhaps its because I havent updated any of my devices to iOS 8 I would definitely recommend this app to anyone serious about making great beer                 Good program for great beer

Regardless of updates this app crashes all the time There are several glitches that you have to live with Example if you email a recipe to yourself the ABV and IBU is switched around While building your own recipes the app kicks you out at random and you start making changes to another recipe without realizing You cant back up any data to your computer if you take the app off your device you will lose everything Customer service is nonexistent If you have questions or concerns your on your own I give 2 stars instead of 1 only because the app comes with a large library of northern brewer recipes        Wish I bought beer smith

This app has not been worth the money Ive paid Countless crashes inability to import XML file from a connected Dropbox account to top it all off the app is not optimized for the new iPhones The app just doesnt look good either Very disappointed     Not optimized for new iPhones

I really like all of the features calculators inventory shopping cart etc that are built in to the app Its nice to have all of my recipes stored in one place all in the same format I keep much better notes on each batch as well I do seem to have a little trouble with syncing between two different devices Sometimes it seems to override a recipe and might loose some of the ingredients           Overall satisfied

I was able to upgrade to version 2 with no issue Everything work except one important feature There is no audible alarm on the timer still I have missed a few hop addition when I was side tracked I was hoping the sound would ding at me when the time is up but nothing happen Nothing is wrong with my iPad Everything has been checked out but still no audible alarm It used to work but stop mysteriously If this feature ever fixed I would give a 5 stars For now it is a pita to use a separate timer              Still no audible timer

The app is clunky and doesnt deliver for its price point I have it for iPhone and iPad and they really dont play nice together For the price you expect the Cadillac of brewing management Thats not what is delivered Ive seen several much cheaper apps that appear much more user friendly Im likely to switch before I am too deep down the iBrew rabbit hole        Clunky

I backed up my data to Dropbox and when I restored it all of my data was gone I had started with iBrewmaster 1 and moved to the new version when it came out I have written the developers support site 3 times asking for help but have not received a reply Very frustrating as I have lost all of my personalizations recipes and batches ANY app without support is not worth the price     No reply from support

I wrote a very negative review the other day after some frustration when there were issues trying to enter my personal recipe it was not allowing me to enter my grain or fermentation schedule I sent an email to the developers and they have been in contact to help figure out the issues I love the iBrewMaster programs and look forward to getting my issues taken care of then there will be 5 Stars its a great tool           Frustrated

Crashes all the time Really wont run properly This app has been poorly developed and tested Support is not very helpful when it comes to troubleshooting Actually they have been very poor at helping my issues and have had a particular rude employee who has returned my emails multiple times Please do not pay attention to the people who rate this app 5 stars They are obviously delusional or being paid to put up good reviews Basically you are paying to have an app that does not work properly I would advise anyone who is considering to buy this app to get the first version that actually works I wanted to upgrade from IBM 1 because of how pleased I was with the the first app This app literally does not work Multiple crashes occur when working with defaults in the program Also the app has a bug were the schedule icon in the lower menu bar decides that it will disappear The response from IBM support was to delete and reinstall the app This is rather inconvenient considering all recipes will be lost unless you back up to Dropbox Even then deleting and reinstalling then uploading information from Dropbox all at least 3 times a day This is not the performance I would expect from paying over 15 dollars for an app Overall this app has been a hassle and I am writing this review to save others from making the mistake that I made All of these reviews giving this app 5 stars are obviously not good brewers because they are probably not using half of the functions that actually crash when you use them Dont believe the people who rate this app well They are either lying or they really dont know how to brew right And honestly who cares about how good the Facebook function is This is BREWING software Lets get the brewing and crashing part down and then we can worry about Facebook     Too many bugs to count Dont believe 5 star reviews

Not worth 13 I had used iBrewMaster 1 on my first gen IPad and while the layout was not great it worked fine and was very happy with the functionality and reliability of the product Its been over a year since Ive used iBrewMaster I just got a new iPad Air and was excited about Version 2 however I am extremely disappointed the layout is still hard to use and no wthe App is extremely buggy and almost not even usuable while brewing yesterday the app froze 5 times the timers were useless because they would have to be reset after freezing        Too many crashes

Update This last update has improved since iCloud has been added There is still not any REAL way to conveniently keep track of your ingredients The inventory still does not update when you brew a new beer Upgraded to 4 stars But its really worth 35 The only thing worth while on this ridiculously expensive app based on its performance is the storage and creation of recipes Dont be fooled thinking it will sync with the cloud You must use Dropbox which still wont recognize iBM 1 backups on the import section of iBM 2 Also in regards to inventory dont count on the app to reduce your inventory when you brew a batch You must go in manually and subtract each ingredient For the price this is something one would expect I recommend not waisting your money on this app at this point in its maturity 2 stars only for the ability to save a view recipes              Basic functions only

I have been using iBrewmaster 1 since it came out several years ago and now I have upgraded to the new version My advice is to avoid this version as it is loaded with bugs Perhaps someday they will get the program back to where it used to be     Long time iBrewmaster user

Ive been an avid user of this app for some time but this latest royally screwed me over I decided to enable the iCloud sync in the app and it ended up deleting all of my data All of my recipes and batches are now gone Absolutely ridiculous Im going to seriously consider switching to Beer Smith     lost all my data

Great app I use it almost everyday Sure there have been periods of glitches during the version history but I havent had much issue in the last year Give this app a shot if you are looking for a good brewing app                 Truely the allin one brewing solution

I dont know where you get that 94 of users have not experienced crashes My buddy and had so many issues with this app we actually reverted to iBrewmaster 1 cause even though it has limitations for the most part it works This app does not It freezes it crashes it sends you to a different recipe or batch whilst youre inputting info It is simply unusable We had high hopes but it has not delivered Not at all     94

iCloud syncing works great Not sure why another user said it doesnt have iCloud and that you have to use DropBox Both features are there so they must not know what theyre doing I had no issues loading the update and I really like changes that I make to my iPad automatically showing up on my iPhone within seconds This app just keeps getting better and better                 iCloud feature is awesome

I cant delete things from the schedule in fact I cant get the schedule to work at all Ive tried everything including deleting the app and backing up my recipes still will NOT WORK Do not buy Running on iPhone 6     This app is broken and should be removed until fixed

My partner and I just started a brewery and this app makes it easy for us to discover new recipes and scale them up for larger batches Brilliant I can also export my recipes and send them to our supplier who prepares our orders beforehand Love it                 Great App

I liked the simplicity of iBrewmaster 1 But was looking to get a little more complex of a program so I bought iBrewmaster 2 Paid good money for a program that is way too buggy been disappointed at how buggy will probably start looking at others I am severely disappointed when I am editing recipes that it will just randomly switch to another recipe Im going pro and I cant rely on this program        Buggy

As a developer and a small business owner I commonly work with data transfer and customer service From V1 to V2 there were problems I have had regular problems with the app mandated database upgrades The XML exportimport has been problematic I tolerated all of that but contacted support for one iCloud question and was repeatedly insulted even receiving one rude email after requesting not to be contacted anymore A violation of spam laws at worst and horrible customer service at best This app does have some great features but when the people running the show cannot be decent even after accepting my money I give it one star and am deleting it     Fair app horrible people

This app is a lot better than some of the other reviewers state I think there is some operator error involved First the needs improvement App continues to crash whenever a recipe or batch is accessed It causes the whole iPad to crash Support knows of the issue and is troubleshooting But after the reboot it opens and works fine Did lose all of my data during the last update but was told by support that it WAS there and a reinstall and download of the data from Dropbox would fix it Now the goods Tech support is fast to respond and fix any issues Trying to fix something on your own usually causes more problems than just letting them know about it Supports iCloud sync now Ingredients delete from your inventory as soon as you finish the brew day and hit the delete ingredients from your inventory button Plenty of options too numerous to mention here in recipe construction scheduling interface and batch completion I recommend this app to all my homebrew friends and as far as cost goes youll spend more on brewing supplies than on this app              Really Definitely worth the
