I subscribe to Rush Limbaugh Sean Hannity and Mark Levin and had to wait until I got home to sync with iTunes No longer Less than an hour after each show the podcasts are generally ready to go and now I can get them I like listening to them at different speeds too There are more choices in iCatcher than the builtin music player I love this app                 Great for paid podcasts

iCatcher has a million settings which I love especially for playlists For example I made a playlist of podcasts that are 1 partially played 2 streamed as opposed to downloaded 3 older than 4 250 days whose 5 show notes 6 contain 7 keywords ex live in concert No ads trackers or intrusive social prompts The dev updates iCatcher a lot with detailed change logs and does great email support No doubt the UI is glaringly out of date iOS 6 era but thats cosmetics Some settings are tough to understand but personally I like knowing theres even more options waiting for me to figure out The beta UI is a little weird but Im sure itll be worked out iCatcher is the rare iOS 8 app that actually gets better with each version been using app since early 2013                 Super customizable smart playlists

This App has provided me with easy podcast searching downloading or streaming syncing between multiple devices and the app manager has even worked with me to implement suggested improvements ie podcast duration in download subscription screen Easily 5 stars and much better than Stitcher Radio or regular iTunes                 Just what I needed for all my Podcast needs

Far and away my favorite podcast app due its high degree of customization Yeah theres a bit of a learning curve required to navigate through all the settings but its worth it if you want the app to work exactly as you want it to work rather than having to change your workflow to suit the app For example on my iPhone I can configure the podcasts I listen to during my morning commute to be streamable as they often are only uploaded by the provider right before or after I depart for work and set all other podcasts as playable only after downloaded to my deice so as to save on data fees I can customize how many episodes to save for a given podcast as well as set different sort orders for current episodes that are on my device I prefer oldest first so I can play them in chronological order as opposed to older episodes in the cloud newest first so I can quickly find a recently deleted episode Developer was helpful and responsive when I had problems Just wish there was a mac version                 friggin awesome

I hate to sound like a shill but I stumbled along for years with iTunes syncing a weird hack involving a downrev app called Flicktunes and using a smart playlist in the Music app on my iPhone to avoid the terrible Podcasts app I tried various podcast apps over the years with all of them being so rudimentary that they were worse than Podcasts Well the latest iOS 84 upgrade finally killed my clever hack So I got serious and found iCatcher It eliminates annoying and buggy iTunes syncing and seems to have custom settings for everything I can think of Best of all for me is that it has an extensive offering of gesture controls for skipping forward and back in podcasts I do that a lot Finally even with all the settings options it seems to me that a new user could pretty much ignore them all and be happy for awhile with the default settings Developer is pretty clever methinks                 This is the one you want

I cant imagine a better podcast app It does everything it should keeps track of everything for you and now it even checks and redownloads everything when you do a factory reset Its also never crashed for me and just works smoothly                 Perfect

This seems to be the best behaved podcast app Ive tried Adding a huge set of new podcasts via OPML worked right Searching for podcasts on the phone worked right It chews through refreshing a large set of feeds in a hurry The configurable playlists offer features that Ive never seen elsewhere but have long hoped for And adding a second synced device was as easy and transparent as you can hope for still not very but thats because iCloud is bad This comes at the cost of an almost unwieldy amount of configuration possible The interface is either a bit clunky or not quite discoverable enough but it does do everything I hoped it would Id rate it best of the pod catchers Ive tried soundly ahead of Downcast                 Very nice with limits

When I replaced an ancient iPod Touch with a new one I really wanted a way to get my podcasts without having to plug into the iMac and go through iTunes Unlike some people I do not dislike iTunes I just didnt want to have to plug in constantly to fetch my podcasts iCatcher solved this problem for me As long as I have a WiFi connection available iCatcher automatically fetches my podcasts direct from the internet without the need to plug into the iMac It works perfectly for me and I am 100 satisfied with it Highly recommended                 Wonderful app

I really like this app Got it after endless issues with the apple Podcasts app GUI takes a little getting used to but iCatcher really lets you do everything It allows you to organize the podcasts you listen to and set settings individually for podcasts All in all its a great app especially for people who want lots of control over their podcast settings Only con and admittedly I dont know if this is an iCatcher issue or an issue with the podcast db they use the max amount of old shows will only go back so far So for example if a podcast has hundreds of episodes it will cut off at a max amount it can be changed in settings but the max setting still wont show all for some podcasts                 Solid app with advanced customization

This is so much easier to use than the app that comes with the ipad operating system It downloads andor streams podcasts quickly and the settings options are also easy to understand and very useful I find I am listening less and less to my audible app and instead am catching up on so many interesting podcasts and radio shows Thank you to whomever developed this app May you forever keep this app humming along                 Excellent app

When I have not finished listeningwatching a podcast it no longer shows up in my folder I have a video folder and I dont finish watching it I no longer see it in video folder I have to back out to main podcasts and see which podcast has a number by it and go there to finish it I checked my settings and partial podcasts is selected Hopefully this can be fixed I discovered tons of podcast that I did not finish and thy were eating up space on phone so new ones would not download           Last few update yes broke something
