It would be nice if the web to the app would still be up so I can make my own account and print the score    

For some reason on my iPad there is no sound unless I put on headphones           No sound

This app has the potential to be great but the sound cuts out when notes are tied together Less importantIy I would also like a smoother zoom function as well as a an easier method of inserting triplets One last request would be the option to insert notes freely without the program controlling my noterest combinations based on the number of beats per measure When attempting to write complex rhythms the program makes it very difficult for me to insert the correct rests and notes because it tries to complete the measure after every move Id like the opportunity to complete the entire measure myself instead of having the program constantly slowing me down with vengeful rests           Tied notes do not sound

Im impressed Overall this is a very nice app and well worth the cost At first I was frustrated with the user interface However after downloading the manual from the developers website and actually reading it everything began to make sense After a few hours of practice I became reasonably proficient at using the app After a week the user interface became second nature and I could concentrate on the music The developer did a great job of adding features that aid in accurate placement of notes in spite of the iPhones tiny screen This app contains a wide range of scoring features that are normally found only in software costing several hundred dollars It also includes a nice assortment of instruments for playback They range in quality from very good vibraphone trombone etc to passable most strings to apparently broken drum kit although you can get by with separate percussion parts The transcription feature which allows you to hum a tune then have the app score it is surprisingly accurate and fun to play with All things considered this app crushes any other mobile scoring app Ive seen Features I like to see added The ability to easily move a note up or down the staff after its been placed copy and paste and pdf printable output of the score WARNING The current version of the app 203 does NOT allow you to export your composition in a playable format mp3 wav etc It only exports MIDI or musicXML For me this rendered the app useless since Id hoped to use it to create soundtracks for my videos This was a huge disappointment If this feature is added in the future Ill consider this a 5star app a rating I rarely give out              Pretty Sweet

I use it to transcribe jazz turnaround lines and it does the trick Nothing more maybe a little less              Good enough

This app is awesome Update I changed my review from 5 to 3 stars because of a couple of issues 1 in multipart scores ties between notes can cause the player to go silent 2 The SoundPlayground website that allows you to upload and download your score from the web does not permit registration because of maintenance However it has now been on maintenance for about 1 week which suggests the developer is not actively maintaining this app           iComposer is cool

Spent hours working on a creative piece for an english project App froze and suddenly my whole score literally morphed into something else     Unreliable

I recommend this app to all composers of all levels                 Outstanding

I wish I could get my nine bucks back This app is full of bugs I could not even type out 8 measure of vocals The notation tool will not allow 4 beats of half notes in a measure when I tried to add it the pitch would attach to the first 2 beats Frustrating And the record tool does not work After many tries I got the play back to close to what I wanted but was then not able to add a counter melody on a different staff because the melody would appear two or three measures from where I was adding it as well as the recorded notation was far from accurate A real disappointment to this working musician I was hoping to have a iPhone finale     Waste of money

It pops up the main screen but I cant push anything Youre app support website is now a domain thats up for sale whats going on I love this app and would be very grateful if you fixed it        And its not working What the hell

Overall it is great however The issue with multiple instruments not playing back needs to be fixed Other than that it is great              Lonely sound

This was a really happy find for me Most functions and voices work very well with a few notable exceptions including ties and arpeggios in technically demanding passages              Great program

This has really helped me learn my music for a production I use it on an iPhone 4S and it works well Only two problems If I start playback at somewhere other than the beginning the screen and music get out of sync on my long piece It should disable device auto lock during playback              Works well mostly

This app is exactly what I needed There is only one major problemit has trouble playing multiple notes at once Hopefully they can fix that bugthen it would be PERFECT                 Almost perfect

Ok so I like the idea but its full of bugs First you cant change the tempo which is a must Second the drum set cant be used I had to separate the drums to get what I wanted Third the keyboard section sounds horrible on chords Why Overall theres less instruments and sound effects Upgrade soon Update After they fixed the tempo it works ok The keyboards need better audio mixing When the synth plays chords it sounds horrible The drum notation still cant read the notes I have to separate each percussion parts just to make a drum beat Please update and fix this soon I want to make quality songs Also you can add notes after you add a triplet to the staff and repeat arpeggio bird eye thing and a lot of other important special symbols dont work when playing back the song One last issue with this app is that the website isnt updated and there is no contact us page so good luck learning about the updates or asking for help        One Step Forward Three Steps Back

Ok this app is good but there are many problems The repeats do not work neither do the 1st and second endings You cannot put different rhythms in the same staff If you can fix those i will give you more stars           Please update

Nice product with good documentation but missing Very Important cut and paste functionality Waisted time entering every single note Playback does not properly interpret the repeat symbols Slurs and ties very difficult to use randomly placing above staff and out of reach Product could also use a page view option and could certainly be more intuitive MusicXML is great but where are the PDF export and MIDI importexport options You should also consider incorporating tablature at some point           Nice but needs work

Overall I find this app very useful and Ill probably use it quite often It does have a few problems however I noticed a number of reviewers have mentioned the playback problems with tied notes For me it wasnt that the tied notes themselves dont play correctly it was that notes on another staff went silent when the app was playing back tied notes For example I was writing for solo piano and the treble clef staff had half notes tying into whole notes while the bass clef staff just had quarter notes In the measure with the whole notes playback of the first three quarter notes in the bass clef cut out If an update fixes this Ill happily write another review mentioning this Other ideas for improvement would be a smoother zoom function and the ability to input a rest without first inputting a note of the desired rest value           Lots of great features some bugs

Overall this is a very good app The only problems I have with it are how to change tempo and how to change the volume              Good App

Its works for actually doing music on a mobile and really I havent found anything close to the amount of musical stuff this app can do but it also need some major fixing like the slurs and also in pieces were either too many notes at once or too fast a rhythm it will just randomly go quiet and I cant find the repeat notation if its there then Im blind All in all for 899 this is not that bad at all especially when you compare it to 1 of the Sibelius music making programs 6000a couple hundred depending on version           Good but this needs

When I open the app nothing happens It just says Title Here at the top with the 3 buttons on the top left but nothing happens when I touch them or anywhere else on the screen     Wont start

I like it but it has problems It doesnt sound like the actual instrument when played back it doesnt play tremolo and the slurs are hard to arrange           Its has a few problems

Perfect for composing but needs to be updated for iPhone 5 It is visually annoying              Wonderful but needs update

Its not Finale but it allows me to put in the initial draft from my iPhone I then can load it into Finale later to put in and polish the details              Pretty good for what it is

It would be nice if you had the choice to of just send it as a PDF file This way I could write out and or save the charts for members of my band In other words if an instrument chart or and band member misplace it It would be nice if I could just be able to print or email my music charts to him with the option of having or not having the midi track or the XML file In other words I just want to print my charts           Icomposer

I cannot use this app at all Every time I try and open the app it pulls up the main screen but I cant push any of the buttons I just wasted my money on this     Doesnt work

It is nice to be able to enter sheet music and have it playing along while I am warming up for choir Im also going to look into the possibility of iComposer importingexporting notation to and from Finale on my computer to keep me from entering notation for the same music twice Thanks for the great app              Friendly notation entry

So Ive had this app for a long time now and I love it it works amazing but I recently updated my phone to the IPhone 6 Plus and now when I open the app is does absolutely nothing Ive deleted and redownloaded the app and it still doesnt work     iPhone 6 Plus

In my book and maybe I am joining this app after a major update but I cant understand why this app isnt sporting 5 star reviews EVERY time I like it because it records my voice ONTO A EXPORTABLE xml file Thats playable sheet music people Hurray Soooo worth the money I could stop there and be happy But icomposer has floored me again with its ease of use and design I LOVE composing even by hand in this app And the crazy thing is its just as fun using my iPhone to do it as using it on my iPad they should optimize the size for the iPad though I cant complain about a single thing in this app And thats hard for me to say lol Thanks developers I look forward to an iPad edition It holds its own against symphonix evolution and others I own And the audio recorder and iphone layout gives it that extra edge Soooo happy with it Thanks                 Seriously It deserves 5 stars every time

Im not a composer Im just looking for something to help me memorize music and this app is easy and so useful I love it                 Awesome

Its no finale but it gets the job done There are a lot of issues but if you just want to write music while youre waiting or lay an idea down and you dont have any paper then this is a good option Voicings are awkward but if you know basic theory and write often you should know what it sounds like in your head           Job gets done
