Recently this developed an intermittent connection problem between my iPad air2 and my vsx 1021 Can connect from my iPhone Trashed and redownloaded the iPad app This problem was encountered on two iPads Anyone else having this issue     Stopped connecting tacoplenty

Ater weeks of frustration finaly figured it out After updating the my VSX 50 to latest fireware from pioneer using a USB everything to started working on both the iPhone and the iPad                     It now works using IOS8 1 /One

I had the iControlAV2 app for many years for the Elite SC 55 The app worked for the most part but lacked some features that the iControlAV2012 app had So I was always a little disappointed that Pioneer never updated the iControlAV2 app I recently updated my iPhone to iOS 8 and then noticed that some features of iControlAV2 app weren t working further disappointment So I looked for another app hoping to come across one that would support my receiver Found iControlAV5 but it didn t support it Now today I noticed that iControlAV5 has been updated to include my receiver It is exactly what I needed Pioneer it s about time you gave us one app for many models that gets updated instead of many apps that include only a few models iControlAV5 is exactly what I needed Hopefully this review will steer you to an app that will work for you also                     The iControlAV5 app has been updated to include most 2011 models One4games

This app does 99 of what I need The one thing that would have made it perfect is the HMG support was better The only way to enter username and password is via the receiver remote and that is PAINFUL without a keyboard The same for crating a new pandora station No one wants to do it via the remote                 Sad that pioneer doesn t support older receivers Chris H NY

I have been trouble shooting an error connecting this app to my new vsx 1122 for several hours with no luck I made sure the vsx 1122 is properly connected to network I also made sure the network setting in vsx 1122 receiver menu was set to standby mode to insure vsx 1122 was not dropping from the network when not active I Validated IP address i was using in app setup with separate ping utility All looks great on the network but this app still throws error when connecting to receiver Sounds like others are having the same issue while some are not My only guess is this app is not coded to properly recognize standard network messages coming from my uverse home network Bummer This app was one of the big decision factors after reading reviews on remote for vsx 1122 I was able to get the iPod touch version of the app going on my ipad but its connection is not solid I used the same ip not working on ipad version Better than nothing     Can t connect SouthernThunderNC

It would be great if Pioneer would update their apps rather than release new ones for each model year Just like not all functions within a model year are universal but the app can support all of those models the same applies for models across model years How about updating the apps some have layout issues and some of the interface issues appear to be cleaned up in the next version And how long will they be supported One unified app would make it simpler to continue supporting them But the app works and is easy enough to use Not fantastic but definitely functional             It works just fine but not updated Demani97

Bought a vsx 52 and setup the wireless connectivity so i can use this app While I can play air play most of the time I can only get this app to connect to my receiver about 1 out of every 100 attempts It s incredibly frustrating I wish pioneer would update this app to be more reliable     Terrible Reliability TREVOR ASHURST

We just got a new Pioneer Elite VSX 51 and loaded this app on both of our iPad 2s and a 2G iPod Touch Absolutely easy to set up and use If you are using zone 2 speakers this is much simpler to use than the hard to read buttons on the Pioneer remote                     Fantastic blufkin

The app is clean responsive easy to use and does what it says Unfortunately Pioneer has a bad habit of never updating or improving things once it releases them to market This app is great but why do I need separate apps for different receivers just make the app detect the system and only offer supported options Please add missing feature like the ability to get to the setup screen icon choices for inputs and receiver naming capabilities that show in the app If history is any indicator Pioneer does not even read these reviews and suggestions Overall though the app is very nice always connects without issue and easier to use than the remote or even a programmable remote                 Works well butt imlanman

Works as advertised but I wish it supported Bonjour auto discovery as the receiver will DHCP for a new address by default and therefore pointing it to the receiver one time may not work the next I set the receiver to use a static IP address and that solved the issue Some of the features are gimmicky but all in all it replaces most of my remote control features I rarely use the remote now that I ve got it all set up                 Replaces the remote kinda Rakesh Bharania

Recently purchased VSX 1021 k Downloaded app for IPAD and never got it to work Deleted and reinstalled but did not help It showed the receiver in the product listing but IP address was different from the address in my iPhone app The app never connected with the receiver I tried to manually input IP address that iPhone uses but it would not accept it The iPhone app works great but this app needs some work     Not what you expect from Pioneer Can't Think of One!!

Pioneer decided to limit this release of the app to support a subset of current receivers This means when the next release is made it will cease to work with the receiver you buy today It s denon for me from now on     Support your legacy products Hotvagina

I m sorry for all the reviewers who have backwards comparability issues hopefully they come out with a firmware update so the older devices work too I just got my 1021 today and am thoroughly impressed with the app for this device My av equipment is in the basement so I cannot use IR control devices and this app works very well for my purposes Lots of options and easy controls I like the built in help videos for their proprietary technologies too                     Sooo cool Whitik
