I am a professional in the field of identification technologies i have pointed this application at several valid US passports in a variety of lighting conditions and it so far not one of them was recognized by the system it comes back with an error message each time saying the image is too dark it wasn t out of focus it was dead sharp or perhaps i have pointed it at a field of cows or something which is just insulting i have found numerous packages that can read barcodes without difficulty and in my experience the ocr of a passport is readily recognized by ocr software solutions available for years this should have worked And for 3 99 one might expect that it actually does something of value NOT I got ripped off Application doesn t work markcrego
