iFly GPS for iPad. It s Simply Amazing: iFly GPS delivers the perfect combination of affordability, capability, and usability for both VFR and IFR Pilots. Safely and quickly get the information you need so you can ...
Best moving map GPS software I have ever used ForeFlight is waaayyyy to complicated to use in flight This software changed the way I fly for the better I highly recommend every pilot use it                     Easy to use Yardape22
Only two things so far that s holding back 5 stars for me is 1 One button night mode and most important 2 Annotation on plates and a scratch pad Works pretty good Just like having my iPad on my kneeboard but also need somewhere to right directions from ATC                 2 things holding back 5 stars yahtzee1004
Been using the app on iPad as well as iPhone since it was introduced Just can t beat the simplicity and ease of use Set start and finish then rubber band your route wherever you need and waypoints are created as you go I find that I use it on my phone most of the time as it gives me all the navigation data I really need and is easier to handle in the cockpit App is packed with features and support and development is outstanding                     Simple and Works Jimxyabz
When paired with an ADS B system the configurable audio alerts for traffic airspace and terrain really make this a stand out EFB for VFR flying Without audio alerts one has to essentially include the screen of an EFB in one s scan With audio the frequency of looking at the screen reduces to whatever is needed to cross check course I no longer use my copy of WingX because it is too demanding of my visual attention                     Like having a copilot Jan1956Jim
I use iFlyGPS and find it to have a lot of great features but the one thing that stands out with that app is the responsiveness of the development team who are constantly adding to the applicatio as a result of user requests And customer service that is incredibly responsive top tier Comparing the tablet version of iFly to Foreflight may be a bit like a discussion of whether high wing or low wing aircraft are better Though iFly s interface is far more personally customizable than Foreflight according to pilots who have used both Also note broad support for a variety of ADSB in devices including Stratux and including Stratux AHRS unlike Foreflight s intentionally But where iFly IMO pulls away is that it has versions with identical operating interfaces available on their dedicated standalone mount in the plane GPSs three models very bright screens iPad iPhone Android and even on a Windows version which includes a compatible full bore flight planner And I support all four versions with one subscription I use iFly iPad as a backup for the dedicated iFly 740 we have in the plane and I love that the interfaces and operation of my backup are exactly identical I like that the iPad version periodically updates weather and TFRs etc in flight any time I fly into cellular reception on my data plan all without having to have any ADS B device linked I know pilots who use the IOS version of iFly as their primary navigation device And do very well with it My two main caveats about that use is 1 that the GPS in iPad and iPhone is not WAAS enabled so not quite as within a few feet precise location and noticeably less precise on altitude and 2 that if it gets hot in the cockpit iPads and iPhones shut down without warning and can take like 10 worrisome minutes to cool down and restart But that applies to ANY app in an iPad or iPhone including every other IOS aviation GPS The app is free and thirty days of chart weather and software updates are free After that it will still run but of course info in it becomes stale and potentially dangerous and deadly                     Unmatched Acensor
Cost a fraction of what ForeFlight costs and works extremely well I m a CFI and love having it loaded on the iPhone                     Great product Justid2
Don t get it     Not for Pokemon Go Tomsuperman221
App is user friendly works on iPhone I test flew Foreflight and WingX there is no comparison Graphics are sharp flight planning mode is intuitive I m sticking with iFly                     Second to none Flaptime
This is a very simple app with a relatively basic set of features It doesn t have all the bells whistles that Garmin Pilot and Foreflight have but that s a good thing It s perfect for say taking the Cub or LSA by yourself over to the next town for pancakes The charts are razor sharp I mean really really nice and the app is very easy to manipulate in flight Despite its simplicity the app still gives you all the information you need TFRs weather SUAs rubber band planning terrain warnings flight plan filing etc When flying the Beechjet under IFR into Atlanta with another pilot I lean towards Pilot or Foreflight But when flying VFR by myself at 100 knots this is my go to                 Simple and that s a good thing VonTrousers
I use it with my Dual GPS receiver and it works real well even on long x countries 800 NM as a Primary nav tool Unlimited updates as long as Your account is up to date                     Good Eze dude
I downloaded iFly GPS and took a few days to look it over and run through its features but after realizing the program wouldn t work with my iPad 3 WiFi using an external Dual 150 GPS I ended up deleting the app and going back to my WingX program If in the future iFly GPS decides to incorporate ALL the Dual external GPS devices including the 150 I may give them another try         Close but no Cigar PilotSkippy
Excellent I phone app Provides same navigational features as the I Fly products                     I Fly GPS Johna6b
I ve used all the others Foreflight Garmin etc and none compare to iFly The folks at Adventure Pilot are constantly innovating and adding app updates with more features It s a top notch tool that does all it promises and more                     Best in flight GPS app Ash8886764
Not quite up to foreflight or wingx pro but a decent alternative Very competitively priced for yearly subscriptions Works well                 Ifly gps Jh5623
Finally an EFB that has twice the customer service and forward momentum of any other EFB The direction iFly is going has led me to dump over 200 of other EFB subscriptions and gladly join the iFly revolution                     Look out foreflight jenate222
The screen that tells you about this update locked up Tried shutting down several times Now I deleted and restarted app Wish me luck         Latest update I phone and iPad
Everything work great Views and maps modes are good I really like the vector mode Weather display on vector mode is very easy to read The Real View of airports is great for VFR into new fields Makes finding grass strips easy Data updates are easy and fast I am using the North East full IFR First downlaod took about 10 minutes Last IFR update only took a few minutes Does not have seamless charts but that will be coming More details to be added to the vector mode I only see this app getting better and better                     New User Ray93J
This app has potential but seems like it was rushed 1 Horrible blurry washed out looking sectionals 2 UI is usable but compared to apps like ForeFlight or even Garmin looks ugly 3 No landscape mode 4 Can t overlay weather on sectional 5 Downloads section is very flaky Kept getting an error about my network connection until finally it let me download additional states         Not Ready 172Capt
This is a fantastic app from a company who is focused on consumer satisfaction I use their hardware navigation iFly 720 and now the iPad app Each has its advantages but as far as software usability for a pilot this app shines I ve had a ForeFlight subscription for years and it s a good preflight planner but in the air iFly wins hands down Very intuitive and the real view feature makes taxiing mistakes virtually impossible Geo referenced approach plates without an extra charge is another plus If you haven t tried it you should                     Amazing in air app dklogic
I cancelled myself out see my comments in other review                     Forgot the Star F33Bonanza
In a word Amazing Easy to use high res maps outstanding instrument display connects to most stand alone ADSB units very intuitive I have been privileged to have worked as a beta tester during the development and really appreciate the effort that has gone into the product It is a great useful tool to add to any cockpit Looking forward to landscape mode but the system is totally fine as is Fast friendly service and a very knowledgable staff makes the installation and interface a snap Keep up the great work                     Fantastic Addition to the iFly Family Flyboy Comanche
Has potential but not ready for prime time yet Constant crashes I currently use ForeFlight so I m using that as the basis for comparison The maps look great Would be better if TAC display was seamless Landscape mode is a must which does not exist yet Flight planning could be improved Instrument display is great totally customizable Fix the crashing and match or exceed foreflight and I may be switching to iFly in the future     Has Potential SDeGonge
This is a superior product to most on the market I have been using the IFLY 700 for 4 years and have Beta tested this IPAD version for several months You will not believe the user friendly interface ease of useful features and customer service and access to top executives at Adventure Pilot This will be your flight planning and moving map program for the rest of your life                     It s a superior product N3081X
Working great now Easy to download data navigation and flight planning simple to understand lots of slick features You guys should try again                     Works great Flyer Walt
Locks up at boot up on ios 7 Not useable     Pilot N601td
