I used to use this during graduate school and found it to be a handy tool I recently tried it again for a project after not opening it for a couple of years The interface seems polished Unfortunately the app is much less capable than it used to be Many things I touch for example changing symbology inform me that I need to subscribe to do This is a surprise since I originally paid for this app Furthermore several shapefiles I tried to load from the Natural Earth dataset failed to load with a message that the CRS selected was wrong it wasn t Finally some complex shapefiles that did import displayed with weird artifacts that I don t see in the desktop programs QGIS or ArcGIS Overall I m pretty disappointed and wish I could get the old version back         Got worse ovis23

iGis was working great but now every time I use it in landscape it cuts off drawing about a quarter of all the layers on the East side Almost like it thinks it s in portrait I tried to delete the app and reload it along with all my layers to no avail Once this issue is resolved this app is a five star             Was working great but ALS04

This has been the best GIS app I have tried on the iPad I have a lot of shape files that it easily imported They are actually quite big and this program handles them without any issues Easy to import files and everything just works It s great for me with field work Great app                     Best GIS app for iPad Fightinglee

This app started having shape file importing issues after the last update as it turns back to main menu as soon as I hit import And it is hard to pick points on the map Good app needs fixing ASAP             Issues Everydayimgising

Discovering iGIS has made field data collection much easier than using professional surveying equipment It works with standard data file formats is simple to use even for newbies and is very reliable I wish I new about iGIS before spending money on Trimble Juno 5 s the web site mentions providing pro options for a fee but they are apparently not available yet                 Outstanding powerful and easy to use mobile GIS Tshare

I give iGIS 5 stars because it does exctly what you need from a mobile GIS software suite I used this app for the duration of geology field camp I was able to use lines points polygons and custom raster datasets to create a geologic map Get this app now if you use any software involving shp files ArcMAP for example This software on the ipad performs faster and is far more intuitive than mobile Arcpad Highly recommended                     Excellent field tool Cyyros

Nice app but I m a newbie to the iPad So far I have my street centerlines and a few small point files loaded Looks good I m having trouble with 8k address points though my main reason for the app I think this app has great potential 3 stars for now maybe more later Thanks phil             Nice app scadaman29325

Aren t you sick of GIS apps that require you to be connected to the cloud 24 7 This app iGIS stores offline vector and raster data and gives you a nice and clean interface to work with out in the field I find the WiFi uploading of layers to be very slow but it has more to do with the slow web server in the iDevice than any bug in the software Use USB importing and exporting whenever possible and you will be happy                     Raster Importing ShapeFile importing offline everything Chod.Stephens

Normally space and time travel can be hectic random and right darn bumpy With this spatial info i can coordinate spacefolds quicker and less random Winning                     Was able to travel through space and time quicker Koseyface

This app is great It allows me to view my ESRI GIS shape files projected over the Google map The Colorado state plane projection works very well and my data lines up with the aerial imagery Great viewing application only 30 Awesome Price Great functionality for accessing and viewing data attributes Good speed Great app for areas where cell service isn t available because it stores the data on the iPad unlike the ESRI app that needs a connection to a server                     Great GIS app Dillondan

Just tried this in the field today and this is a very easy tool to use All data exported back to ARC GIS perfect One request to add is the option to display point labels on the map I have over 200 points captured on 18 000 acres and no way to see the labels displayed on the map I can query each point to see the data associated with the point but not able to view the name of each point on the map                     Works great for exporting into ARC MAP New to GIS
