iHome Connect, the setup app for iHome AirPlay speakers

I have 2 iwi 1 speakers I was hoping to be able to stream the same music to both at the same time and put them across the room from each other but that doesnt work It appears you can only stream to one speaker at a time from the same device There also doesnt seem to be any buffer at all so if the wireless signal flickers even slightly the sound drops out Also Pandora doesnt stream to the speakers which probably isnt something ihome can fix but still not awesome I will probably end up running these speakers with a physical dock connector most of the time Sadly this totally defeats the purpose        Kind of buggy

Iw1 doesnt work with my iPhone 5s and I have a HUGE feeling I have to spend ANOTHER 30 bucks to get the lightning 30pin adapter to use THEIR sync cable for the iw1 to plug into my iPhone 5s The ORIGINAL sync cable that came with my iPhone 5s isnt working and the app stays on the screen that tells me to plug my phone into the iw1 Another way for Apple to make a quick 30 million on top of the 300 million they made selling the ihome to the million people who use their products Complete bs and apple is greedy When I buy 300 ihome I expect it to work with ALL of your products WITHOUT having to purchase more cords and adapters DO NOT BUY AND DO NOT DOWNLOAD     Dont buy dont download

Wont connect to my iw1 which is also god awful It cant even change the name of the thing without locking up This is the last ihome product Ill ever buy     Their software is as bad as their hardware

Dont ever download this even if it was free I tried docking it to my iHome bit it didnt work Tried 2 other iHomes I had but it didnt work either In deleting it and uninstalling it it is absolutely terrible     Doesnt Work

Constantly have to reconnect The apps are awful do not buy these speakers under any circumstances     DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS

iWi1 cuts in and out on home wifi that has not problems with any other devices The iPhone 6 doesnt seem to work the hardware using this app to connect Not sure what to do but for the 350 or so that I paid a few years back and now seems useless I know one thing Im not going to buy another iHome product     Disappointed

Out of the box with my 4s and latest iOS it connected to wifi just fine Found about 20 to connect to After a few hours of play time the music started skipping like a bad CD Next day it wouldnt connect via iplay at all Connected to the wire opened app and it refused to recognize it was connected Completely closed and reopened app then all seemed ok Except it wasnt It couldnt find ANY of the 20 wifi it had previously found and forgot the name I had assigned the previous day Wifi was workingmy daughter was watching Netflix on iPad Taking this back Maybe spend 100 more and get the Bose Bluetooth model     Stinks

Ive tried to use this app multiple times to set up iHome speakers It has never worked It will either give me an error message the closest its ever gotten to working freeze and crash or it wont realize Ive connected it to the speaker via the cable     Has never worked

The app does not work half the time The speaker says its connected to the phone but does not play unless you are directly connected to the speaker     The worst

I tryed it but it didnt work it wouldnt allow me to put the charger USB I have theiHome charger and thats what I used I have 32 gb iPod that has smartits version 511 please help me Im ddfh 17 for game center contact me if you have any idea about how to make this workthanks D              Help

I am pretty good at installing and making this sort of thing work but could not get iHome speakers to work with an iPad 3 even after a couple of hours of intensive work First of all the iHome documentation is poorly written Whoever wrote it knows nothing about the standard iPad settings screens iPad screens do not permit you to do as instructed by iHome I purchased 3 iHome speakers and will now return them to the seller Virtually all reviewers seem to have had similar problems     Horrible Do not waste your time money

This app does just what it says Its use is for ease of setup and thats all Its not working for some probably because they never turned the iw1 on in the back Great product                 Easy and perfect

Honestly when the very first screen opens up with instructions telling you to insert your prelightning charger into the back of the iHome you know your in for frustration and trouble Well I think twice in the whole three years Ive owned my iHome wifi enabled speaker Ive actually gotten it working By working I dont mean I was enjoying the sound quality produced by this quality manufacturer No instead I had to turn off my room fan to listen to my audible volume full blast As Im sure others have complained trying to get to the two devices paired is epically annoying as well Good luck with that I mean it But it seems that either my iHome has just had too much stress in his little tiny life or the app has finally stopped taking applicants because even plugging my lightning charger to the back wont assist in a little power back to my iPad iHome awesome product No wonder you guys are ending up in thrift stores     Trash that hasnt been updated properly in eternity

Couldnt have gone easier Works great from iPhone iPad and MacBook Wont work with 2g iPod touch because Apple doesnt update iOS on 2g devices but that isnt iHomes fault              Worked smoothly

Worked like a charm on the first try No problems whatsoever on my iphone 5 and ipad 2 Two thumbs up                 Awesome

It will not even recognize that my phone is plugged in to the USB device I will be returning this POS clock if this doesnt get resolved soon     Bad App

I just downloaded this app It let me connect my iHome iW2 to my wifi and configure it for Airplay Works great Love my new iW2                 No problems with my iW2

I had to update my iW1s firmware in order to use my iPhone 5 via lightning cable There is still plenty of room for improvement in this app but it does work           Update your devices firmware

dont ever buy an ihome product they just dont work     do yourself a favor

Trying to set up my ihome got it working briefly and then it disconnected now the app cant find any networks     rarely ever works

I synced my iPod 4 into my Ihome glow tunes model ip18 and its saying its not synced or that I need to connect it and I watched the Ihome screen say SYNCED     Doesnt work

The app crashed and simply couldnt find my home wifi network I needed to return the iHome speakers because they never connected to my wifi Total fail     App and speakers both horrible

Can someone PLEASE update this APP I find it so hard to believe that this iHome speaker has become a 300 paperweight     THIS IS NOT UPDATED IN OVER A YEAR

Ignore the bad reviews I finally downloaded this and worked like a charm I avoided because of the bad ratings and use to connect it the hard way I just plugged it up to my W1 with my 4S with 501 and instantly allowed me to hook it to a network                 Works Great

I originally had a hard time connecting my iPhone 5S to the ihome and I had a horrible time The app wouldnt detect any wifi networks After 15 mins it finally recognized my wifi Now it works fine 35 because it needs improvement on wifi detection Besides that it did the job           Not bad app

Works as advertised I have two W1s rechargeable battery and two W2s connected immediately very straight forward I look forward to upgrade to AirPlay for broadcast mode to allow multiple devices playing from single source I even take W2 with me and use on public WiFis                 Very Happy

I have the 5s and I want to connect to the iw1 and the app keeps saying connect to the dock when I have it plugged into the back of my ihome I did this with my phone and iPod neither will move on from the first screen Its possible Im doing something wrong however its not working for me right now and apple cant answer my questions Do you guys have any advice on how to make it work for me     Maybe I did it wrong

It was great at first when I bought it in December But last several weeks music no longer recognizes it and it no longer connects to the WiFi network The same one Ive had since the beginning And after connecting the cable it takes about 23 attempts with the app freezing before it reconnects have to enter the network and password again Its like doing the initial set up every time I want to use it Not sure what has happened     Worked fine first but no longer

I recently purchased an iPhone 6 and the app crashes every time I try to connect my IW2 speaker to my home network Please fix this issue I love this speaker Now its just a glorified plugn play        IPhone 6 Unable to link up

iHome does NOT have ANY way to reset their devices My device became unresponsive and I had to get a different one The app doesnt work with it even though i have devices that meet all of the requirements DO NOT DOWNLOAD     Do not buy ANY iHome product

I received the iDN55 for Christmas which states on the box and in the user manual that it works with the iHome apps but it does not Frustrated     annoyed

So I used this app to connect my iHome device to my home network While it did not appear to work since it seemed to hang up while connecting to my home network it clearly was connected as found by the solid green light on my iHome speaker You had to pick your network and type in your password but then seemed to hang Regardless it worked NOW THE TIP TO GET SOUND VIA AIR PLAY FROM YOUR APPLE DEVICE I was stumped for a while but found that after a reboot of my device not sure if this was needed btw it was my iPhone 4S if I picked a song to play and began to play it I could then swipe up from the bottom of my screen and see the option to select the iHome speaker It connected in a few seconds and worked perfectly I could control volume skip tracks etc all from the speaker While the app needs some work I think that the Air Play does not show up in iTunes as one would expect GREAT SOUNDING speaker for a low price thus I am happy Hope this helps someone Remember power on the speaker make sure you are on your wifi network on both the speaker and device start a song on the device swipe up and pick the Air Play device and away you go           Not intuitive connecting to iPhone or iPod TIP

This is not the right app if you are setting up the iW1Airplay speaker despite what the user manual says The correct app is iHome Set Bad documentation iHome Get iHome Set getting the speaker working is very easy if you use the correct app     Wrong App for iW1 AirPlay speaker

I have a new iHome radio and this app didnt do anything to help     Didnt work for me

If you like hearing your music constantly interrupted at random times by dead air then use these products and this app Otherwise use another system It constantly cuts out when its on wireless Very annoying and embarrassing when friends are over I am going with something else     Worst wireless connect app ever

Got this for my birthday and tried to hook up but couldnt get past the screen that tells you to connect your iPhone up to it Tried 3 different cords nothing Teased and redownloaded the app still nothing Try and get ahold of tech support no help available just keep trying what youve already done Worthless product cant take this piece of garbage back to best buy fast enough What a total joke nice job ihome thanks for making sure I never take a chance on any more of your products     Piece of crap

This was great until the last update like 6 months ago No support from the developers to get it to work It wont find my wifi when the router is right next to it or find ANY wifi signal for that matter FIX IT All I have is an expensive sound dock If that was all I wanted I would have bought a better one like the one from Kicker     WAS a good app

App crashes or doesnt work Always have robust alternate methods for connecting the devices that drop the wifi network almost daily Home products are a complete fail Ill think again before dropping 700 on their products again     Epic fail
