IKEA Store

This new app is awful The worst part is that ikea wont even let me use the old app so I could find what I am looking for I am trying to figure out prices for my kitchen I want to redo and it will only show me the base cabinets I cant view any upper nor can I look at the doors alone to compare prices and design I am so unhappy with ikea right now If they are going to launch a new app with bugs still in it the least they could do is still allow me to use the old app     Cant find what I want

Login is fixed for IKEA Family members And it even loaded my shopping list I love the app again                 Login With Abandon

Just updated and I dont see any improvements Still cant filter search results still cant change countries without losing shopping list Thanks for ruining a perfectly good app IKEA Previous review When I opened my old IKEA app today you know the one that worked it gave me two options update or close When I get to the App Store I read IKEAs admission Please consider that all of the functionality from the previous IKEA app will not be available Not optimistic but it gets even more stupid It also explains that I will need to create an account to save my shopping list Well I cant do that because I cant get into the old app Heres another stupid thing if you change your country your shopping list is deleted IKEA has many of the same products in various countries If yall cant figure out how to change the price andor currency you probably shouldnt be creating apps After all the old app you know the one that worked had this capability I love IKEA but their customer service in so many areas is truly awful This is just another example of that fact     Its still a mess

This app makes an assumption as to the language preference depending on country location of store chosen An option to choose the viewing language is needed        Language option needed

Why did IKEA change a perfectly good app You cant place an online order anymore with this app It will only let you create a shopping list for a store Well thats useless for me The nearest store is 6 hours away Thanks IKEA     Why

This new version of the ikea app is crappy I had multiple shopping lists on the old version and it seems that this version only has one shopping list your able to use I liked having a couple to separate my needs Also I liked having filters and refining my searches This app just seems to be lacking compared to the old one     Old app was way better

First time opening step 2 login App wont let me even though I tested logging in on the website to confirm credentials Such a big bug is not a good way to start an app     Cant login

After being forced to upgrade I cant even set up the app because it always says server not responding at the stage where I should choose my store I assume it is because I dont live in the US so this app is now utterly pointless for me     Server not responding

The app could become very useful but there are at least three major problems with it FIRST Its difficult to switch between two stores and doesnt seem possible to consolidate lists across stores SECOND When I managed to switch from one stores list to another I found that it had lost all but one of my approximately 10 scanned items THIRD Although the scanner works well when the item number is on a white or yellow tag or sign it CANNOT read numbers from a red tag And in at least some stores some item numbers are available ONLY on red tags nothing on a different color tag or on the display So Id say that the app was better than simply taking photos only around 10 of the time If the app could a consolidate lists across stores b read from any color tag and c not lose any previous entries it will become useful Also Any chance this app will be consolidated with the catalog someday Its really annoying to have two separate apps for the same store        Needs a LOT of work

Browsing products is a time consuming nightmare The lazy loading of product imagery is GLACIALLY slow Im sitting here waiting for every single image to load as I slooooowwwwly scroll down the page Im on an Att gigapower connection with 750mbps tested download speed Absolutely unacceptable for an app launched publicly from a major multinational retailer Not that the previous app was anything beyond mediocre but theres no excuse for foisting this kind of garbage onto your customers Add this to the horrible search and arcane product navigation and you have the worst retail app on my phone Hey ikea product team call Amazon and beg them to teach you basic DAM architecture mgmt     Garbage

I cannot believe how terrible this thing is I could not find ANYTHING The search is awful and there is no filtering of search results The product taxonomy in the main menu under products makes no sense The categorization is completely off Eating is a product category I was looking for a dining table and hoped to find it there after my search turned up only outdoor dining but Eating category had no dining tables within it There is not even just a basic furniture category Im freaking out about how awful this is Its UNusable What a bummer IKEA usually does such a great job I want the old app back     Unbelievably bad

Every Time I open the app it closes on me I dont have an ikea anywhere near me and I was ready to purchase a new bed for my son however I cant even open the app to purchase Total waste of time and space     What is this

Ive been saving items to my shopping list because IKEA is opening in St Louis at the end of September Now I cant get to it And when I click on the app icon I get 2 choices UPDATE or CLOSE My updates are automatically done So why isnt this one What a mess Come on IKEA Dont you all try this before you send it out Maybe this opening isnt going to be as cool as I thought Very disappointed     I want my shopping list

I have been a longtime fan but new shopper to IKEA I joined IKEA Family not too long ago I have the Catalog app downloaded and enjoyed interacting with that so I figured the Store app would be just as wonderful an experience Unfortunately not After a few days of attempting to log in just so I could access the features of the app reseting my password and it still not accepting my login credentials I discovered that because I have a Family account it wouldnt let me login Which doesnt make a whole lot of sense Maybe Im getting this wrong but Ill have to wait until Family members have access to the app to even use it        Unable to Login

My biggest issue with the new site is lack of sorting or filters when your looking for products To me this makes the app completely unbearable so all those new fancy features which slow down this app its kinda a beast and not in a good way arent ever going to be used because I cant find what Im looking for to begin with All truth be told Im probably not going to shop at ikea as much now since ease of use with the app was number one reason I was shopping here anyway I never even got as far as the lists but based off other reviews that would be my next complaint on the list Update the app to add filters and sorting to the product views and fix the lists and I would give the app more stars     It has potential But is currently useless

Doesnt show the location inside the store for the products like aisle and bin numbers For me the other app was better than this one        No aisle and bin locations for products

So you want to introduce a new app fine But if youre still rolling it out with glitches at least give everyone warning so they can save their shopping lists or better yetlet us CHOOSE to use which app we want Listen to your users please     Please grant us back access to old app

The only thing that is worth nothing that is bad is the absents of the ability to sort and filter results Its quite an obvious omission so Im guessing the designers purposely did that for who knows what Otherwise this app runs very smoothly on my iPhone 6 It looks and performs great exactly how the ideal ikea app would but it would still make it a ton better if we could sort and filter results              Smooth running app

The previous app had its quirks but essentially functioned perfectly fine This new app is awful and a HUGE downgrade in functionality and store integration The shopping lists are not compatible with lists you create on a computer or previous lists in the app They removed filtering and sorting options on lists The access time is slow when selecting items The list goes on For their sake and their customers I hope they fix these and all the other issues or they may see business slide a bit     Bad move IKEA

I work in the software industry and anyone in my company who released an application that was as broken as this one would be fired I was forced to download the new app and the old app no longer functions All the old app does is prompt me to download this new broken junk app I have tried and tried and it will not let me log in to my account IKEA Family So now I have NO working IKEA app at all This is a HUGE disappointment The previous app worked well and helped me organize shopping when we make the two hour trek over to the nearest store I was and still am able to log in online and at the in store kiosk but now I have no way to create and plan shopping lists no access to the digital card nothing Very very disappointing and this app should be a major embarrassment to IKEA     Completely unusable

I liked the old app much better I would like to be able to see the IKEA family specials and promotions but the one thing I miss the most is the ability to have multiple shopping lists Fix it please        I miss the old app

The app has potential but has a lot of issues My biggest issue with the sheer slow as can be speed of the app After just showing the app for a bit I was over the slow speed and timeouts I do like the setup of the app but need to add some additional features Two features Id really like to see are sorting and a filter     Lacking features and soooooo slow

Not entirely sure why they changed from the old app No ability to sort or refine searches they removed the ability to have more than one shopping list and in general things are just harder to navigate Sometimes new isnt always better     Not happy

App works fine for the basic things but it is really lacking in features that the other had If the old keeps working Ill stick to it until this one gets those features search filters multiple lists plus more Im probably forgetting           Gotta agree

this is what everyone is saying but none of the good products are showing up whyd you take them off the website some of the products are gone and its harder to view the ones that are here tbh otherwise i LOVE the new app its awesome IKEA slays everything BUT the shopping list is horrid and why did my shopping list merge with everything at a quantity of 2                 needs fixes otherwise flawless

Making people lose their shopping lists Do you even test your apps before you publish them Your app developers are stupidheads     IKEA fire your app developers

Cant do anything because I cant log into the app I can log in just fine into my FAMILY account Ina browser but on the app it wont let me What makes it even worse is that the old app no longer works IKEA fix the new app or let us use the old one     Awful

slow slow app the older version seemed to run faster and had more complete item information Im looking for a couple lamps easy right nope only some lamp listings have measurement info and all the lamps I looked at had no bulb size information even on the instruction PDFs had to actually go to the store to find out the bulb sizes needed for the lamps I was looking for ridiculous     get it right

I tried logging in and submitting my ikea family number and it wouldnt recognize either Just use their moble site it works so much better     Wouldnt recognize my info

The old app worked Then IKEA made me upgrade This version may aspire to one day become subpar Until then Im deleting it     Yep Its terrible

I still prefer the old app not sure why they made this new one with only a few small changes There needs to be a sort option to sort by price and so on Also I can only see one of my shopping lists and cant switch between them Hopefully theyll also fix the search because I tend to get a lot of random things that have nothing to do with what I searched for much like the old app I do love ikea so I hope one day their app will be to par as well     This app is a mess

I open the app tap Lets go To start then get an error that the server is not responding Every time even after removing and reinstalling     Doesnt work

This application feels more closely to an app than the last version which seemed more like online surfing There may be some bugs but I trust that they will be worked out Great forward thinking And the UI is amazing Also thanks for the iPhone 6 adjustments                 Excellent Update

I totally agree with all of the negative reviews Ive already read I didnt see a complaint on the sort and filter options being gone so Ill add that to the list If you are searching for something in particular like a rug its nice to be able to sort and filter for things like color size and view by price I dont have the patience to look at every single rug you offer Terrible new app        This is not an improvement

Like others I have multiple shopping lists organized by room Now I can only see one of them and cant change to one of the others This seriously limits the usefulness of this app        Cant access shopping lists

The last update seemed to bring a slew of performance enhancements including native displays and rendering which is drastically better than the web views before Its quite irritating that theres no area to just view and browse products from the get go without selecting from a slew of features Many times I just want to browse selections without knowing what Im looking for and this is fairly hard to do in the current application Its also a bit annoying that theres no option to view products in a collection view format so I can see more content at once and the images dont seem to pre load at all or are only loaded when I stop scrolling which is irritating Just a bit of uiux adjustments that should be considered that make a radically better experience Otherwise the current app is far better than the previous version           Nice step in the right direction
