This was a waste of 10 bucks for me It s not the app it s me Although I dabble with the piano and have played an acoustic guitar for 40 years this app feels like it s beyond me and I d need to learn way more than I want to in order to get the most out of it Wish there was a free version so I could have figured this out before spending the money The only reason I m writing this review is to let others who are like me know that using this will require previous experience or a commitment to learning     Foolish purchase Rpee47

I have been a fan of Arturia s virtual keyboards for quite a while now because of their incredible macOS apps So I tried their iOS apps They are just as good as their Mac stuff They currently have only 4 apps available for iOS I wish they had 40 I would buy them all And by the way their hardware is also very good better than most These people really know what they are doing                     As good as it gets Tree on Hill

I am a bass player and I am currently using this as my keybass rig I love this app and all it can do I am rating it 5 stars however I did find a bug Every time I try to use the tempo tap the app crashes on me I am running it on a 2016 model iPad Pro 9 7 inch If you guys could look into this it would be great Thanks for an awesome app                     Awesome as a keybass rig PRodBass

I love this app I ve owned 7 Minimoog Model D in my lifetime so far I ve stopped taking my current Minimoog D to gigs to avoid getting it damaged plus this app with my Akai SynthStation 49 controller beautifully takes the place of my MiniMoog on stage with the added program presets I can literally program any of my Minimoog patches programs and they sound spot on BUT What happened to the Modulation Wheel working with my controller The previous rev mod wheel worked perfectly Then the update comes out and the mod wheel no longer functions This is ESSENTIAL Please Please PLEASE get this functionality back I have several other soft synths including the iSEM iProphet Nave the midi mod wheel works on ALL of these apps Come on Retronyms Arturia You HAD it working Just put it back Begging you I can t use this on stage without the mod wheel working as a fully midi functioning controller I ll change the review back to 5 stars when you fix this                 MIDI Mod Wheel not working MoogLove

I have owned a model D MiniMoog since 1976 just rebuilt it s keyboard This app is a great simulation and adds the ability to store my patches I use it on my shows with a midi controller but the mod wheel won t work with midi I contacted Arturia s tech support and while they verified that the mod wheel isn t supported by midi they didn t offer any hope that it will be fixed If they fix that I raise my rating to five stars                 Jim Johnson JimJohnson9

I ve wanted a Minimoog since they appeared in the early 70 s But it s always been a cost prohibitive dream At 5 bucks the iMini almost fulfills the dream The sound is amazingly real the interface works like the real thing I m having a blast with it I haven t tried MIDI connection with it but as a standalone synth it is solid and stable on my iPad Air Retina                     Love it Philm35

When attempting to change a parameter The screen turns black that parameter shows a numerical value in green but then freezes Unable to exit that screen need to close out app reboot Maybe the last IOS update threw a wrench into the app I really don t recall this being constant problem before the update                 Freezes Mikekees

This is awesome the sound is phenomenal There seems to be a few bugs to work out still though ie most of the poly settings seem to get really distorted when played Now I know the original is monophonic so maybe that s why but I can hear some really awesome patches that would work great as poly pads but most of the time they come out really distorted One feature I would really like to see is the option to completely hide the keys when I have a midi controller plugged in That would be awesome Other than that great job I love it                     Love Brandon Uhlir

As the owner of an original Minimoog I must say that I really like this app and highly recommend it Only two issues that need to be addressed 1 modulation wheel does not work with midi controller and 2 I would like it to have a button to turn off background like the ISEM has Other than that this would be a five star app Note can t wait for Arturia to come out with more apps would love to see the ARP 2600             Excellent E_Sanford

This synth sounds great on my studio monitors my headphones and my car stereo and even on my earbuds and iPad speaker it sounds pretty good It comes with an extensive collection of classic and professionally modeled patches                     Sounds So Good Great with IAA ZenLizard

I have had no problems running IMINI on any update or otherwise For me it has run and sounded really great on old and new pads It has been extremely reliable on its own and with MIDI controllers Reviews usually should help people assess the working function of an app and its reliability if applicable An update problem calls for a message to support not a vengeful negative review to vent frustration On the other hand a persistent problem with Retronyms products would be fair game in this case especially given the evident desire of Arturia to support interoperability Pretending to support Audiobus and not actually doing so is not a good strategy It works no better than pretending Audiobus does not exist or that no one misses its absence in apps Retronyms develops You guys would do much better just to get it together and to support as many interoperability standards as possible in as many of your apps as you can manage As vital a utility app as there is for mobile musicians Audiobus brings you more users if you support it You may wish people would just use Tabletop but the truth is that Tabletop and the standalone apps will have a larger happier user base if they can use what they like and connect as they like to make music they like One thing about the update Precision is most welcome but the UI controls in the Arturia and Akai models need not be imprecise If you have the overlay dials corresponding to MIDI numbers there is no reason base controls could not do so while maintaining the look of the original synth Having two sets of numbers setting the same parameters is not as confusing as it is cumbersome and pointless The problem is more pronounced in the also great sounding Prophet VS app which could use some help in its modulation matrix section Though it needs a little bit of control set refinement and interop facilitation this Arturia synth is very Moogy in a very positive way That compensates for a whole lot Happily recommended to anyone looking for a synth                     Superb sound mrdogheadSHoGoAT

Pros It has some pretty cool sounds The resonant squeals when cranked like on true analog synths Cons Some sounds distort really bad Not Audiobus compatible like advertised Bottom Line I m a little disappointed with this in comparison to the two other Arturia synth apps I m glad I only spent 10 instead of 20         Short and sweet TBMisamazing

As a fan of old synths I recently bought both the iSEM and the iMini for my iPad2 updated with iOS8 As others have reported there are some issues most related to MIDI with these Arturia apps on iOS8 Sometimes I can connect to external devices or other apps like SoundPrism sometimes I can t sometimes only some functions connect There that s the bad out of the way and 1 star off But I am absolutely blown away by the sounds the user interface and the overall experience There are so many sound patches in here and so many that when you press a key you may go Oh WOW I know that sound Especially with the iMini I will find a way to add this into my GarageBand workflow And I wanted to leave a fair and high rating for these apps to encourage others to try them and to encourage the developers to continue to update for iOS8 These are the kind of apps that make me want to rush out and get an iPad Air in order to get even better performance from them and to keep developing my own amateur music chops Well done Arturia                 Beautiful sounds tough to integrate mechascorpio

This is an amazing app The sounds on this are monstrous for a steal of a price only problem is it needs Audiobus compatability and we ve been without it since iOS 8 Arturia I ve purchased all your synth apps and love them so please update them and don t make us regret it             Good app needs Audiobus Rbersoul
