Slowing down and unresponsive with 3 drum samples running Total ripoff Worst music app I have Running on iPad mini 3 with no other apps running Gadget with the two sampler upgrades runs perfect with more options     Slow Waste of money

Impc pro looks great great graphics its well laid out and the sounds are awesome what could go wrong Well it froze every time I laid down a beat I searched this problem and I saw I was not alone Freezing and crashing has been an issue since at least October 2014 The issue has not been addressed by the developers No updates to fix the problem since September 14 It seems they released the app and dropped support almost immediately Impc pro is the biggest disappointment I have had with my iPad 2 I can not recommend this app I am sorry to say Save your money on this one     Like a bad date

As promised a new rating now that youve finally brought a useful update to the table UPDATE EIGHT months in without an update Absurd Pulling this rating down to one Its insulting This is no 99 app I expect ACTION 5 stars because the app is amazing But I expect support and REGULAR updates Guys I love this app a LOT and it breaks my heart to see such meager support updates Cubasis has delivered at least 10 updates each adding functionality AND fixes There is NO Excuse to go 56 months without updates I laid down cash for an MPC Element based on its functionality with this app Thats big money Youre making Akai look bad An MPC app should allow linein connectivity with current audio interfaces that utilize the lightning connector Ie IRig HD Apogee Jam etc What is an MPC that cant take a decent audio interface Dropbox and AudioShare support needs to be there too I can live wo Audiobus But KEY is the ability to use current audio interfaces                 GET WITH IT RETRONYMS

Each update has improved it quite a bit its really growing on me now Please keep it up Also a manual and midi would be nice MIDI more so              Slow start but growing

I like the app a lot but when trying to record the app crashes              Cant save please fix

Ive been a impc user for a while now and let me tell u it keeps getting better and bettercreate quick dope beats in minutes whit this appand if u dont know how to use itits easy to learnis like writing a book about ur life                 Great app

I purchased this app and have yet to been able to use it to create any projects The memory lag on the iPad 3 is tragic and makes operation absolutely impossible I love the regular version however thats free because it works perfectly And why did they change the look of the software I want something with MPC stamped on it to look like the damned MPC Just pick one     A dud so far

I thought that this apps issues were down to me running it on the older iPad 2 However reading many of the other reviews it would appear that its just badly coded Crackling freezing bad pad latency and general sluggishness make it a chore to use This is a shame though as Im certain that if they invested as much time and resources into improving the apps code as they do promoting it with that little bearded fanny on YouTube then they might have a fantastic bit of software As it stands this is nowhere near a 12 app so dont make the mistake as I an many others did and purchase at that price In its current state this is a 3 appat best        Bearded fanny

How does one tarnish an MPC like this Its very buggy for one this company seems to be deliberately avoiding Audiobus which has become a standard in iOS music marking because they rather push their own Tabletop which nobody cares about Just an ego driven company that does not care what customers want Bad customer support too     Wow

Initially I enjoyed using this app The pads arent perfectly accurateresponsive but I purchased a MPC Fly which helps a lot with this issue I spent hours creating tracks for a performance I had opened made changes and saved multiple times It seems as though the program begin to lag more with every set of changes Well while performing half way through the set my entire program was gone I pressed play on about the 4th sequence and EVERTHING erased Even the sequences that were previously played magically disappeared All tempo returned to default and every track and sequence was blank Really I deserve a refund for that flaw alone If it has no reliability then this should be considered a toygame and not a music production tool        My project disappeared half way through performance

First of all Id like to say tha the app is an improvement a massive one at that from the previous MPC app Still I find this one a bit limited in the effects portion the work flow is fine it just take time to flow naturally Another huge drawback is the constant crashing and the effects Keko the Buddha compressor guy and the other one do no seem to work Even thoug I have erased and downloaded the app many times But hey at least its fun on an airplan        Not too little but not too much

For less than s pair of jeans you cant go wrong with it if you know how to use fl studio or reason than theres no learning curve at all the only draw back is the mixing but overall you cant go wrong                 Great App

After newest update audio copying individual sounds no longer adds that sound to a chosen Mpc pad This is really bad I have 4000 samples in my library and they are all labelled general pasteboard so finding that file I just tried to paste is impossible This basically renders the app useless for me Dont purchase until they fix this confusing BS     After update workflow has been compromised

Where do I begin As an old MPC head when I started this app up on my iPad I was psyched to use a touchscreen MPC Then the problems started to become clear editing preset sounds caused popping and crackling in them there is a harsh RAM leak even with 2GBs on iPad Air 2 and Airplane mode on that will slow grid editing down to a snails pace pressing the pads can be pretty unresponsive so get ready to make most of your beats manually in the grid The absolute worst problem Ive run into was tonight when I reopened the app to a track I was working on for HOURS and the ing thing did not save the changes I made despite saving multiple times oh yeah this app also randomly crashes so saving often is a must Another problem Ive been having is a saved song will have a new mix and tempo when you reload it even though you saved it the right way numerous times I know Akai didnt make this app but Im holding them personally responsible for it and all of its problems The MPC name is now tarnished Update this app Buy Beatmaker 2 if they never do Shame on you Akai and iOS developers for this garbage app     Truly awful

Works well for the most part but lots of small annoyances that need to be fixed immediately for this to deserve the name MPC and a ton of work to be able to call it pro Cant layer drum sounds or even link multiple pads to trigger once Mixer settings change from sequence to sequence This is totally unexpected In a real MPC or DAW your mixer settings dont just change because youre playing a different set of notes Cant edit settings for multiple pads at once This is a total buzzkill for those of us who like to sample multiple notes from a single sound source then play them back Not being able to set consistent envelopes or mute groups at once is tedious and lame Cant assign arbitrary mute groups Mute groups are limited to any other pad in a group AD that also has mute set Let us be able to set numbers for groups Everyone routinely has all their drums on one set of pads We want to be able to mute kicks with kicks snares with snares hats with hats Cant delete sequences or tracks What if I dont want the track I was working on anymore Guess Im SOL How do we MIDI sync to other apps or external hardware No audio tracks in 2014 What Every time I go to record a new sound while the song is playing somehow the iMPC stops playing sound out of my Focusrite itrack dock and plays it out of the ipad itself Fix this please My decade old MPC1000 with JJOS 2XL does way more than this thing sadly and is rock solid reliable        Needs major work to deserve the PRO title

What good is this app if you cant import or export to MPC formats no midi implementation why call it an MPC when it doesnt play nice with other MPCs I mean come on now This is the year 2014 and you are thinking like 1994 Seriously Youve got to do more Retronyms to step up your game I also blame AKAI for not giving Retronyms a standard to go by     No MPC import No MPC export

I love my MPC and my love for the MPC workflow makes me gravitate away from BeatMaker 2 and NanoStudio although theyre both incredible Heres the thing though iMPC Pro is at best alphagrade software I cant sit down and use it for a single sitting without being shut down by bugs in every area of use controls become unresponsive to touch parameters seem to change at random poor optimization causes constant audio drops on my currentgen iPad with no other software running Saved projects vanish mysteriously The last update for this app was at the time of writing a long time ago Retronyms appears to have no interest in making this app usable which is a shame because it has some good ideas If you love this workflow try Nanostudio or Beatmaker     Buggy Beyond Usability

Export session to iTunes The original mpc app does this Not the pro version that was released after when using the mpc through inter audio app with GarageBand and Ive have created my songs sequences into an arrangement Theplay arrangement button should sync to GarageBand so that it triggers the host to play in sync with my mpc arrangement not just the mpc arrangement I created MIDI control I own a renaissance I want to control the app with it Or any controller for that matter Not just that one designed for the app Please prioratize export session feature Us pros need access to stems and the ways currently available are prehistoricwere not in the 80s I shouldnt have to do those things I wont even name I already own the mpc studio software since I own a renaissancethe original mpc app gave sessions that could be accessed with studio like the NI machine app does with machine Honestly if you wanted to be generousan export all to audio would be the right thing to do I have a lot of friend who love this app and stopped using it because of no exporting of sessions to access with daws like logic or ableton This app will be pro when you do that        Feature suggestion musts

I am just blown away at the sheer functionality of this app It is so well organized and the interface is easy to understand and flows really well once you become familiar with it It has an epic range of features that really brought this close to professional class in my eyes Only it seems like the developers got the app 98 done and then abandoned their app like an unwanted baby which is just a cruel shame Sound bites I record will occasionally disappear Very seldom but you can imagine the frustration at any structural integrity when your creative work is at stake So I give it 4 stars because it is admittedly an amazing app and I still use it despite its flaws So the one star that keeps it from going to 5 is a very bitter star indeed because I feel this app is just EXACTLY what the iPad needs to be a relevant music production platform and the developers are missing a huge opportunity in letting this project slip through the cracks              Great amazing yet there is a fatal flaw

Retronyms dont give a squat about mpc fans and the issues we are having with this app This app has so many bugs its very hard to make a beat with audio pops or latency issues Whenever I save a beat with it mixed down exactly how I want it when I reopen impc pro to continue working on a beat the knobs and sliders are not in the position I originally saved them I mean come on Why dont you guys EVER update your product TAKE SOME PRIDE IN WHAT YOU PRESENTED TO THE FANS AND FIX THE APP     They can care less

Its an amazing idea and an almost amazing delivery There are two serious bugs that need immediate attention First on my iPad Air 2 the app is responsible for 25 of my battery usage even when I havent opened it all day Secondly in cubasis it has massive CPU spikes making it about unusable There is also considerable latency in cubasis with this app that I dont experience with other music apps     Needs some serious bug fixes

As an mpc user I feel the latency is really noticable I am running it on ipad mini with retina Compared to beatmaker 2 where you can adjust the latency to be really low and virtually unnoticeable ipmc pro responsiveness lags quite a bit After emailing Retronims about it they suggested to turn off all the other apps running and try then Basically dedicate all the RAM to impc pro It helped slightly but still not enough to be usable for me personally Giving it one star for also not having Audiobus Dont care much for tabletop Sticking with Beatmaker2 and deleting impc pro The design of impc pro looks nice but under the hood its kind of mediocre and weak     Improve latency and add audiobus please

Update 11 months ago Retronyms promised us they would fix the missing MPC file export feature I have just been informed that is no longer in their plans They have moved on to other projects MPC users are no longer their concern Retronyms has a reputation for shady practices I thought that they had turned over a new leaf but they clearly have not Akai should sue them They profit from using the MPC name yet do not deliver MPC integration It was in the original app yet the Pro app which was billed as a new app not an upgrade does not have MPC desktop export Retronyms This app should not have been released with so many bugs and omissions The original iMPC despite having limited features was at least stable and useful It had the ability to export programs and sequences which could then be opened in the Akai desktop MPC programsThat feature has been removed in favor of Retronyms Tabletop app How is an app named iMPC Pro not compatible with any other MPC product While Im happy that they included InterAppAudio IAA support it is not nearly as useful or stable as Audiobus Prolevel apps include both IAA and Audiobus Thats why Cubasis Beatmaker Auria and even Apples GarageBand include both Retronyma had a great opportunity to add it to their redesigned app but they decided that maintaining their grudge against the Audiobus developers was more important than responding to the Number 1 Requested of iMPCi hope they quickly update the buggy app because I want to like it I will hold off on Ing a refund as others have done for now RetronymsAkai the ball is in your court        No MPC Compatibility No Audiobus Major Bugs

i have never been able to post directly to sound cloud from my ipad other ten that it a great app could use a larger pre load sound bank or downloadable sound banks but other then that good app                 cant post to sound

The more I learn how to use this this more Im loving it I used to own an Akai MPC60ii I paid 270000 at the time For a few bucks I can do much of the same stuff and in some cases even more If you liked the MP you wont be disappointed 4 stars cause I dont want them to stop making it better              Fantastic

Great app with some much potential but dont have all the necessary functions you need 1 copying sequence to another sequence 2 Exporting your tracks separately without exporting one at a time 3 But most important if you make tracks on your IPad you should be able to finish it on your Mpc studio and fine tune your project I hope everyone write reviews with there issues so Akai professional Retronyms will improve this app All the best Music app can do these function garage band native instrument Imaschine Uvi Beat hawk why not IMPC pro IMPC PRO is better than them              Very but not perfect

I had held off on reviewing IMPC Pro because it was not quite like the old hardware I used to play with The latest updates have changed that No matter what app I use Gadget Animoog DrumJam Samplr Sunrizer Ampkit etc I find myself capturing the audio and loading it into IMPC Pro The sound quality and fun of chopping up your own audio is just so compelling It is now similar to playing with the classic hardware Akai is famous for I still want improvements but I will no longer just simply gripe about the app I am on an IPad 2 and have had overall good stability with the app Inter app audio and Audiocopy are directly supported So is direct sampling into the app Thanks to openin you can use Audioshare to load audio into Audiocopy which is great You can even load your own created sliced loops into a real MPC Still needs midi sample layering and a few more bugs removed But it is a serious production tool now                 Serious Production Tool Now

At first it was a little overwhelming with all of the functions that this app contained eventually after some experimentation and curiosity I figured out how to use the software and now Im addicted this is the best app I have on my iPad It has single handedly revitalized my interest in music Huge recommendation                 Amazing app

I saw all these fun little synths for iOScool games etcbut until the iMPC pro app my iPad had no parts in my music production which I do as a career The second I picked this up I made two beats within an hour that got placed on a major record hahacould use some improvements but it is seriously in a league of its own own when it comes to serious Beatmaking on the iPad 5 stars bravo                 Changed the way I looked at my iPad

MPC stands for midi production center so how come theres no midi support No midi sync in or out not very useful nor smart for the iPad music production platform Im sooooooo tired of asking Retronyms for things we need and getting totally getting brushed off The first Impc got no IAA or Audiobus though soooooooooo many users asked and asked and asked for them Impc pro didget IAAbut got the brush off again as far as Audiobus goes but here we are again asking for midi sync so we dont have to just rely on pressing start on a DAW and then start on Impc and hope it falls in sync with other apps there is nothing pro what so ever about that We shouldnt still be asking and hoping maybe we dont get a brush of when it comes to midi sync it should have been there from the first version I have to ask has anyone working on this app ever actually own an Mpc     Midi Production Center with NO midi
