I m wondering why the reviews are so bad because this seems to work great on all my computers Maybe they ve patched a lot of bugs im not sure Super responsive unlike air drop that seems to take a while and transfers slowly                     Works amazing Much better than air drop eatmyballs

I saw all the bad reviews about Instashare not working properly or not working at all but decided to take a chance My iPad new iMac 2011 and MBPro 2011 were not new an alternative to Airdrop was needed Instashare promised to be that alternative however it worked only twice out of dozens of attempts to share documents once I had installed the software and extensions on all machines It almost never recognizes the other devices except on the iPad and the shared clipboard function doesn t work at all The OSs on all my machines are up to date so there s no excuse for this As always I m angry again that the App Store doesn t have a refund mechanism or a way to try before you buy The developer s site has a link to a support page but the link goes nowhere No developer support I m sure the developer got sick of getting angry buyers requests for a refunds and updates to make this junk work and ended up nixing the support page Why does Apple let very poorly rated software exist in its store from devlopers who don t offer support or fix their flawed software Why was I so stupid to think it might work for me SCAM To summarize you might get 5 functionality from this useless software or none at all     Scammed again kosovarnye

This app used to work great but not anymore on iPad Mini Using it to send images from iMac to iPad but the images never save to the camera roll It works just fine on my iPhone from the iMac Now I have to send from the iMac to the iPhone and then Air Drop it to the iPad from the iPhone Have tried deleting the app and re downloading not successfull Also tried rebooting the iPad Mini not successfull Please fix     Not Working On iPad Mini gregmayneII

I originally posted a negative review of this applicaiton I found the single setting that allows the application to work correclty I think I deleted the original review If not this review should take precedence This application solves a problem I have had with my iPhone since I first started down the path with Apple Why Apple hides the fact that the iPhone is just a file system that could be mounted on the mac and accessable for pulling and pushing media assets to and from the device is beyond me In any case it s a pain to get pictures off your iPhone to my Mac This application solves that problem I recommend it and now use it regularly                 Easy to use and worth the money Roblewis99

The iOS app doesn t always see my Mac immediately upon opening the app directly but it does show up within a second or two However it sometimes vanishes from view sporadically which is obviously frustrating when I need it to appear But that could all be caused by my particular connection my iPad connects to my home network via Airport WiFi while my Mac is wired to my Time Capsule through a powerline adapter Combined with the iOS app and the iOS 8 integration with other apps it s a full featured combination but it costs twice as much for the combo compared to Filedrop which seems a worthy competitor at 3 with a 5 tag on the Mac app and a 1 freemium tag on the iOS one in order to remove the ads                 A bit overpriced IMO but generally solid performance whatnicknameISNTtaken?

Exec Summary Works for me between old and new iPhones and a 4year old Mac on Mavericks Never had an issue that hampered my productivity Full Version Given the fact that Apple despite feeble attempts with Airdrop and whatnot has never quite managed to solve file transfer over the air in the simple ways I came to expect from them this product seems to be a rather ok solution for something that must bear it s very own technical complexities under the hood All I can say quite au contraire of many bad reviews here well done It has a tendency to clutter the file list on the iPhone with duplicates and icons of wonderous origin and it seemed for a while that all icons point to the same file but wiping the list and restarting the app a matter of seconds got me up and running again However if someone relies on the file list as some sort of permanent repository of files this might be an issue Apart from this the entire experience was very pleasant                     Works for me SmurfyJoe

really slow in sending videos i have 1 30 video that i tried to send but every time it disconnects by it self and the sending process it self really slow for the one minute and half video it might takes more than an hour or two that if it didnt disconnect and say its the other device fault on both devices in my case it keep disonnect after 3 5 minutes so i never got the video transferred basically its a waste of money apple should have made their own software for such a thing i was sending from my macbook pro retina which i bought in christmas 2013 to iphone 5s dont purchase this app     the worst app ever Talalbk

There s not much to say except this has been the fastest most reliable photo and file transfer app I ve owned It s confoundingly simple I have it on my Macbook and iPhone I open the app on my phone and Mac select a bunch of photos on my phone and drag them as a group to the Macbook icon in the phone app and lo and behold within seconds they re on my Macbook Period Done Next thing on the list                     It just works robfuzz

This is a fairly good app I like the interface its quite functional However its not a Web Service where you have an account and can get it sent wherever you are like DeskConnect Why does it matter well because in the real world you re not always going to be on the same wifi network every time Neither is bluetooth a convenience every time You want a best in class app that sends content between your devices a web service assisting the process is by far more reliable and quicker to use instead of trying to get on the same network and working with bluetooth These connection methods do not make your trusted devices appear easily in the installed apps Another point some networks for example corporate ones its nearly impossible to get a service like this to work Overall I was not disappointed by the app but disappointed that I have to return to using DeskConnect which is ugly and combersome experience but works flawlessly in functionality             NOTE Does not use a web service to handle transmissions iLogical
