IRChon: Chat with other users

pEdRo really is the main user that ruins the app                 I also hate spanmers

This is a very poor app due to the fact that you cannot use commands which is a major part of irc You cant even identify with a nickserv with a pm Which is another problem you cannot pm other users or services There are also certain characters you cannot use in a nick but if someone sanicks you with the invalid characters there are no problems with the app or display of the nick You also cannot view full topics in a channel and wouldnt be able to open links So you would have to have someone tell you the full topic which is a hassle There are also a few bugs where the navigation buttons on the top in the app are from different menus leaving you to either restart the app or go through more menus to try and fix the problem yourself However as a basic irc app for being free it does offer basic chat features and multiple server connections But from the users that have been in the default server and channels its useful for them but not a real irc user Irc999 would be a better choice if you like a real client with commands     Not for a real user

I could not find a way to search for channels Which prevented me from trying this out     No channel search

First I would like to inform those that dont know that you can edit the server setting and connect to any IRC server in the world Complaining about the people on the default setting is stupid It just seems you are looking for a return to your glory days in AOL chat rooms Moving on to the app itself I really like it a lot I use it everyday to talk to friends I play games with over the internet while communting on the trains around Tokyo I like how in this version I dont get disconnected anymore when I am in a tunnel where there is no signal As soon as I am in the station it retrieves any messages I have missed and sends mine I also like how I can now view links within the app Great stuff I would like to see it allow DCC chat with other users It doesnt seem to have this feature and if it does I cant find it I would of gave this 5 stars if it had this feature Thanks for building a solid free app              Pretty amazing for a free IRC Client

Very very buggy I still havent got it to connect to any servers Im only trying to use it because its the only free one in the app store Come on devs make a better free one already        Buggy yet free

It is a very basic chat program without support for even the most basic IRC standards No commands no nickserv authentication drops connection when you get a text or change iPod songs The list goes on It is written as if it were a direct telnet connection into the irc server with little message cleanup Do yourself a favor and buy a quality app like colloquy     Utter crap

Needs to be fixed and updated and also advertise a little more to get people on the app        SP3DER

I cant figure out how to add a channel from a different server When I did it wasnt actually the one I tried to join        Eh

This app is buggy all around The default channel it opens up to is garbage It doesnt even support the most basic IRC features The word failure just isnt strong enough a word     Failure

The ppl who made this app did a good job but they need select more mature and more responsible moderators not some low life teenagers who abuse the privilage           Unstable

I think this app is useful but some of the things ppl say r terrible A bunch of ppl can figure out where u live and threaten to kill u And theyre racist and a bunch of spammers     Hurtful

Managed to get it connected to the default serverchannel but never managed to get beyond that Any attempt to add my own servers resulted in a crash to springboard Completely unusable Looks nice otherwise maybe an update will improve it     Horribly unstable

It has an awful interface and can be very frustrating at times but considering its free its bearable My main complaint is that when you type it makes the the rest of the chat much darker and you cant read what people are saying as you type Sometimes it goes to the menu while typing and deletes what you were typing It only has a few problems none of which are bad enough to not use this It is free after all           Bearable

I wish it would load so I could actually us the app     LOAD

This app sorely lacks multitasking Also I understand this is the free version but please let us delete the default irc account        Multitasking

Does not seem to support joining any channels other than the predefined one please note that the use of the singular freenode has only one channel listed     Lame client

It sends messages to your designated server and room People get my messages and everything fine However I have an additional server added and it has me join as two differnt usernames despite that it only sends from one which is probably a glitch Also after you have joined a channel it is impossible to leave with that server still running Overall nice app good for irc when my comp is being used for fullscreen gaming but it lacks the features of a pc irc client and alot of control that I should havecant delete their irc server only turn it off           Alright app could be better

Learn IRC and go to a good server like SwiftIRC           Sad all of you

This app would be fine if the ability to private message existed Since it doesnt its not the best IRC app To those of you leaving low ratings due to not being familiar with ICQ Go read all about what it is and how to use itthen complain if needed A lot of you clearly dont know what IRC is        Not so great

Not sure how anyone can use this The ad server connection takes precedent over functionality Crashes constantly Terrible formatting However it is free so cant complain too much I guess           Buggy

this app is pretty good if you know of a good serverroom where you want to chat its kind of slow sometimes and crashes if you get too many messages at once but its good enough to get the job done i would like to get basic commands like nick topic whois op and such but i dont mind it as it is since its free as noted already the default room is filled with spammers and lonely boys who are looking to cyber i would advise against venturing there              not as bad as everyone says

As a free client it does well enough However if you have experience with IRC you will probably want to look elsewhere My main problem is that there is NO SUPPORT FOR COMMANDS Navigation was easy and intuitive Its simple but perhaps too simple           Good for Free

This client Well Id rather telnet into IRC than use this Cant remove the unwanted default server lack of command support not to mention adding channels seems horribly convoluted If you need a free client for now IRC999 is your best bet     The search for a decent free IRC app continues
