iSpread

This app has all of the spreadsheet functionality that I need plus some other helpful functions like changing the background color of a cell                 works for me

I bought Numbers and a few other spreadsheets but they were not as easy to use as ispread I like that you can enter the data in the cell just by double tapping the cell You do not have to keep going to the entry line              Great

Dont waste your money If you enter a wrong formula an error message appears Selecting OK to close the message window locks up the iPad Worse you can only continue if you deinstall the app and reinstall just quitting the app doesnt clear the data This is a fatal error situation and makes the app a nonstarter for me Only a buck wasted but still     new user

Very poor instructions But some formatting was good and very easy however I work on spreadsheets every day and could not figure out how to make it calculate some basic functions listed I was looking for a VERY basic spreadsheet but could not figure out even how to calc SUM creator needs to write better instructions I will ck back but until thenpass on this one        Poor instructions

The spreadsheet apps in the App Store are numerous Half dont work at all The other half cost too much andor have functionality that I dont need or want and just serves to clutter up the screen and make the app harder to use Then there is iSpread which offers spreadsheet functionality that WORKS I wanted a spreadsheet I could use to calculate cosmetic formulations I dont like writing them out on paper and using a calculator but I dont want to go back to my desktop every time I change something And I do want it to print out AirPrint I needed to be able to put formulas into it not just column sums iSpread does what I want and its pretty easy to figure out In terms of calculations iSpread supports complex calculations so this app is not just an adding machine with cells Does anyone besides me remember adding machines iSpreads support for multiple fonts and font colors as well as borders and background colors helped make my spreadsheet easier to refer to at one glance The applications functionality is here now You wont have to wait around for later versions before the app truly works as is the case for so many of the apps in this category This is not Excel If you want Excel use your lapdesktop However if you want to start a spreadsheet on your iOS device and then pretty it up with wonderful 3D charts and graphs and bells and whistles iSpread will export a CSV file that can be imported into Excel If you want an app that spits out xls files you can try one of the more expensive apps Good luck with thatyoull spend lots of money and invent a few new curse words in the attempt The documentation could use a little improvement Hint check out his website for more info than is in the inapp help You will need to know a little bit about spreadsheets in general to use this app but you dont have to be a wizard                 EXACTLY what I wanted
