iStart Chinese! (Absolute Beginner Mandarin Course) by Mirai Language Systems

Ive been taking Chinese for at least 3 months now and I can honestly say that this app is a huge support for me in every way possible for learning Chinese                 College Level Chinese Simple

I have to say that really do enjoy this app Its a really hard to find a Chinese language program that actually speaks and helps pronouce words for you on the iPhone And for only 3 Please make a iStart Korean Please                 Mirai does it again

I never would have believed I could learn Chinese but after 3060 minutesday for two weeks I can already read some characters on signage and pick up a few words in conversation Every aspect of this app is well thought out comprehensive and intuitive Lessons are supported by flash cards quizzes native speaker pronunciation with both a male and female voice and vocabulary lists You can go at any pace and repeat as much as you want which is the key to success Amazing Cant wait to go to the next level                 Amazing Chinese Demystified

This app is very well made and useful if you are trying to learn Chinese The one thing that does bother me is that every time you leave the app and then come back to it you have to find where you were in the audio              Simple and effective

I have used Mirai products in the past and found them to be very well thought out and user friendly I am moving to Singapore next year and so I was thrilled to see this new Chinese app Keep them coming guys Thai next please                 Mirai delivers

Although I have not completed the course yet I am finding the lessons easy to understand and easy to remember I would recommend this course if you want to learn conversational Chinese Not a bad buy at all                 Just Love It

I find Mirais iStart Chinese to be a great introduction to Mandarin and HIGHLY recommend it This app explains the nuances of the language clearly from detailed methods of pronunciation to individual translations of characters and phrases at a fair pace Toms friendly tone provides a warm personable touch I wondered if I would pick up a British accent in addition to learning Chinese Im amused by the food badges and the photos illustrating each word are hilarious I really like how there are animations showing the proper way to write the characters something my mom stressed as very important in the Chinese culture I do wish that the vocabulary feature streamlines the animation with translation and Pinyin together in one place so I dont have to go in and out of lessons This is the main reason for not earning five stars there can be some improvements in usability Again its a fantastic app its hen hao I never had issues with functionality I also tried another Chinese learning app and felt overwhelmed which validates my impression of the iStart app To be able to read and speak some Mandarin for the fair price of 5 is a very wonderful thing If Mirai makes additional Chinese learning apps please do I would definitely continue the experience Thanks              Sir

Easy to use I miss a flashcard testing system The vocal contour of words is not that practical in my opinion but perhaps others may like it I would most certainly buy additional levels as they become available                 Very nice indeed
