iTwinkle Light

Thats what I feel about this product and app It has limited functionality for something that could easily be fixed with a better software For example you have only 8 patterns that you can set your lights to but not a single one of those patterns include a multi light setting Just your standard red green blue yellow lights The lights have the ability to perform this pattern but it can only be accomplished in the Tap settings This whole thing seems a little nonsensible Add a way for us to use all of the light settings and Ill update this to 4 stars Add in a feature where we can program our own light show to uploaded music and Ill add the 5th star Bottom line not yet worth the heavy price tag Wait for next year when they get their act together or someone makes a better product           Meh

Lights have to sync with your phone through Bluetooth and then app will work The Christmas music is through your iPhone speakers Okay Nothing to get excited about        Attached through Bluetooth

Id love for there to be an onoff switch in the app so I dont have to go outside every night I dont really use any features other than the dimmer and the tap function as my temporary onoff switch which will hopefully be added soon           Its ok

We do really like this tree and app However I would love it if there were a few changes We really like the music but I hate that I cant use another app or lock my phone while using this feature A white light option that looks like the mini lights would be nice as would the option to choose more than 1 color on the pattern options It would be 5 stars with these options              Great but

Best Christmas tree I have ever had The app works flawlessly Wish I could pick colors for some of the preprogrammed patterns                 Excellent

Saw the iTwinkle tree at Lowes on Black Friday for 25 off Ended up spending 200 which is a great deal Assembly was super easy The actual tree itself has two different textures of branches so it gives it a more uniquereal look versus other fake trees Only complaint for the tree would be that it would be a little widerfuller of a tree The set up of the iTwinkle lights was made super easy by a separate operating instructions handbook Only issue was I had the lights hooked up and plugged into my wall before connecting to the Bluetooth just to make sure all the lights actually worked Once I hooked to Bluetooth I was unable to change the lights and play the music Figured out I just had to unplug the main plug from the outlet in the wall and replug in Once I did that I was then able to use all of the controls provided The app itself is extremely easy to navigate and use It HAS crashed about two times when I have clicked to open it but Im sure that can be fixed from the app company with an update Overall awesome concept and awesome tree              The Perfect Tree

Had to have this tree I wanted it but at my local store it was 249 tax So waited till the after Christmas sale went back when the Xmas stuff was 75 off and they were gone So I asked the manager to buy the display got it home set it back up was very very excited But the music limitations was very disappointing I love to find bargains be the star of the show but it would be way cool if I could play my own music So I have a crush on the tree but would be in total Love if the music would be better Nice tree quality but would love to be Wowed           Musicmusicmusic

Just put up my iTwinkle tree and LOVE it My only suggestion is I would love more preprogrammed lightmusic shows i would even be willing to buy them                 More LightMusic Shows

The app needs work The lights can do so much more than the app allows           App needs work

The only problem is the song list for the tree is too short How hard would it be to add a longer playlist Other than that the kid loves it and play with the tree through the app all the time              Awesome tree

I agree with other reviewers the tree is great Worth the money beautiful easy to set up so fun to play with But there are three main things I wish the app could do 1 Multi color lights still 2 Play in the background while on other apps 3 turn off the lights so that only the mini lights were showing sometimes because their is no white on the color wheel These are picky details I really do love the tree and the technology           Love the tree Want more from the app

We are enjoying our itwinkle tree very much My kids love the lights and how it can twinkle along to our music It does need two basic improvements 1 It should be able to remember your last setting Every time we turn it on we have to spend 510 minutes playing with the app to get it back to the settings we like 2 It should have a basic random colored lights setting No blinking And then if you want them to blink you should be able to easily turn that on and off without having to change colors or screens on the app Right now you have to change screens and it doesnt offer a random setting only has the lights moving in different fast patterns which make some people a little dizzy to watch           Great product but lacking some basics

You can choose songs from your music file but for what It only plays on iPad does not give you the option to play on the tree You cant turn the music it came with to play all You pick a song and it keeps repeating until you pick another song or play a pattern with no music There is no volume There is not very many pattern choices        App needs work

I bought iTwinkle RGB lights with hopes that you could create your own patterns I also went into Home Depot to try out the iTwinkle tree they had and it had some patterns that the C9 set i purchased did not have Patterns like 3 color rainbow and rotate were different and looked nicer on the tree Feature request Can you guys add a feature that lets us make our own patterns           Limited features

I bought this tree at Walmart after xmas and just set it up for the first time The app works great and the whole family is enjoying the lights The light and music show is really cool I hope it lasts for many years                 We love it

there are flaws with the setup for playing your own music and getting the tree lights to sync with it You can get a specific artist or playlist and even pic specific songs from that list but theres no way to shuffle And as soon as you reenter the list all playing stops while you fiddle around with the songs youve chosen And once you stop playing you have to reenter everything all over again Also for some reason you cant play DRMenabled music which a LOT of iTunes music is But were satisfied with the other programs Unlike another reviewer here we found that if we turn off the tree lights when we turn it back on it stays in the program running when we turned it off Unless its the music function because the playlist has disappeared Other reviewers comments about more options within the app is valid but this is enough for a memorable tree Perhaps version 20           Not Perfect but not sorry I bought the tree

Please address Bluetooth limitations for only being able to have two sets at once        Support for more than 2 units

Absolutely Awesome Worth every penny Easy setup room under for presents Unbelievably vivid colors Must see to believe High quality If you love looking at the tree at Christmas timethis is the ultimate                 Awesome xmas tree

We really like our tree Kids love all the colors and songs During the songs there are so many great sequences and combinations The songs are nice but you dont always want music playing and thats where the manual DIY programming comes in The manual settings are lacking simple options that could have been programmed in relatively easily making it an excellent app and the tree as a whole would be so much more enjoyable There are a good amount of patterns to choose from but whats missing is functionality within each of them For example wed love the ability to choose more than one color at a time Our favorite patterns are the twinkling and random but we cant have them in our favorite color schemered and green We also wish each pattern came with the option of multi all colors The only pattern in multi is chasing or random The chasing is nice but is too fast for a peaceful winter evening A slow downspeed up toggle would be an easy addon to each pattern as well The light system seems to have nearly infinite abilities but the app falls short of providing access to them We gave three stars because of the musical function apps ease of use and overall concept but PLEASE update the app to tap into the trees full potential We would rate the tree and the app a 5 then           Tree great but app falls short

Needs onoff option I was at work 45 minutes away and my tree started singing Once I was home I was unable to stop the music I deleted the app and the tree is still singing same song Hoping after several hours of being unplugged Ill be able to reprogram     So so

Id like to be able to turn the tree completely offon through the app to customize bulb colors and speed within patterns and have an allcolor random cascade           Fun but limited by app design

These lights are great and look fantastic but the appnot so much Similar to what other reviews stated the app should have more color options more songs available for downloading more controls involving the existing features They are still worth the price though           Good should be better though

Should be able to pick two colors of your choice and be able to alternate or use for a pattern I want my school colors           Need Custom Colors

I would like to turn on and off the outside lights with this app The lights are great But the app is lacking I bought multiple strands But should have only bought a couple because I cant control more than a couple              Good but not great

I love this tree I do have a few complaints though It is a bummer to pay 300 for a tree that is advertised as being iTunes compatible and then not have your iTunes be able to play over the tree speaker Also it would be nice to have an option to slow down or speed up the patterns of the lights Being able to play your own music with the preset patterns would also be niceother than that it is a beautiful and enchanting tree that we will enjoy for our Christmas season              Pretty neat

App is very generic You can do several things butas said earlier you can pick a pre loaded song but all it does is keep repeating it There is no option to even use the demo mode the tree came with You can change patterns but again limited what else you can do with the lights such aschange pattern and dim App needs work        New user

Needs to remember my playlist If I pickup my iPhone wrong accidentally touch the screen There goes my playlist Seems any little thing you do there goes the list        Ok app BUT

How goofy is that I support buying music supporting the artist Its crazy that this app cant play legally acquired music I was really looking forward to playing my own playlistapparently that cant be done or Im not figuring it outeither way somewhat disappointed at this time If I figure it out or someone shows me Im mistaken Ill be happy to review the app again At this time one thumb up one thumb down           Cant play purchased music from iTunes

We have 2 sets on the house as well as a set of pathway lights First let me say everyone is right it desperately needs an onoff button and a sync button Other than that it works pretty well except for the fact that I cant control all 3 from the app at one time I can do 2 but then I have to turn off Bluetooth switch the 4rd set them go unplug them all and plug them back in at the same time to have all three sync Although the path lights seem to move at a faster pace so they unsync fairly quickly anyway but sometimes that makes for a great show Overall we love them Just want the in off and sync buttons for a 45              Pretty Cool Lights

This is great in theory but needs more ability to customize I would like to be able to pick the colors that are doing the musical functions etc The potential is endless but as it stands now it doesnt live up to the hype of the advertisement on the box              App needs more

I bought My Tree Last Year After Christmas for 100 I love it but wish the App Offered more I like red and green Together and I dont get to do that But I Still love my tree It was Very nicely packaged and Didnt need any Arranging right out of the box Loved that              Great Tree App ehhh

This is our second year with our iTwinkle tree and we really love it However the software seems to have gotten worse with I guess an improvement that downloaded automatically Now many of the functions do the wrong thing push a button to change the color and something else happens like flashing likes start Since we love the tree and the lights so much Ill give it three stars when I might otherwise have given it one or two Redo the software pretty please           BUGGY SOFTWARE

Features on this app are quite strange The tap feature seems to be more focused towards djs If the tap feature could be automated it would be excellent Microphone mode is confusing at best What is this function supposed to achieve Wish list Programable sequences sequence between colors without fading out a speed setting sequence with only certain colors        Great product Extremely lacking app

Bluetooth list within app Improved support for multiple strands Offer a separate remote that can control 7 strands Most iOS devices will only connect to 2 strands at once This becomes an annoying problem when trying to use all itwinkle lights on a house                 Please add the below features

This is a good start but I would like to respectfully request an update to the app to add a few more simple features 1Please add more color options to the my color function I am disappointed that I cant mix more pastel and versions of white light 2Please add a speed and dimmer option to the pattern section many of the patters are too bright and too fast to use for long periods of time without bothering the other houses on my street 3 Please add more color options to the patterns           Please add some simple features

The tree is really nice The app needs some more features to justify the price of the tree But overall its pretty cool this app is a reasonable first attempt Here is what I suggest 1 Speed adjustment this is a biggie 2 Custom programs the tap interface of a phone or tablet is perfect for this get creative tap a color on or off in a record function 3 More colors in the programs For example using the color wheel I can make a nice orange but that never shows up in the programs 4 More songs 5 Ability to turn off the LED lights they cant control the incandescent lights in the app its a separate power cord I just leave them unplugged usually anyway the incandescents are just plain white and they use over 200w of electricity 6 More graceful Bluetooth handoff between multiple devices even if only one could connect directly maybe allow others via AirPlay or wifi via the one directly connected Device so the whole family can play 7 More versatile programs maybe allow a choice of which colors are active in any given program 8 Timers Turn the lights on and off via a schedule 9 More voice functions make it so talking to the tree really makes it pulse or whatever 10 More slider controls like the color wheel Maybe add in brightness and the speed one I mentioned earlier 11 Custom Bluetooth addons that could be controlled with the app make a box we can buy which would at least allow basic power controls for the analog incandescent lights they could have fade infade out and blinktwinkle modes that go with the LED programs just needs a variable power box controlled by Bluetooth like an automated dimmer switch        Tree is nice app needs updates

Its great to be able to change the light display using this app but it would be even greater to be able to turn the lights off and on at a press of a button           App is great but needs onoff function

I purchased two strands if lights for my tree The patterns sync well but the music player does not sync up with the included songs I did get it to sync once where both strands were the same color but it hasnt happened since Please fix this software to sync with two strands with music Also more programmed music choices and a speed control for patterns would be nice           ITwinkle Lights

My whole family loves this tree My only complaint is that Id like more songs to choose from There are so many classics that would be awesome to play through this tree When we first set the tree up there was a whole second set of songs with a Compilation 2 but Ive never been able to get back to it Where are those              More songs please

Have the tree Not all impressed Just got off the phone with GE customer service I explained to them that I get the DRMFree message I specifically tell them that the preselected Christmas songs play fine and the lights sync with the music But when I select MY MUSIC YES they can only be heard from the device or an external added speaker But the lights DO NOT sync with my songs They blink randomly The CS rep told me this is the first of a complaint like this Really Tell me Has anyone been able to play music from their own iTunes library and had the lights sync to the music that you play Thanks           iTwinkle tree user

I picked up this at Home Depot on clearance Well worth the price We set it up to make sure it worked and it does Nice display on the included music 8 songs as I recall Very limited selection of music though That would get very old over the course of the season so knock off one star Will they sell additional music each year Sell a developer app or add on Tree has much more potential than can be shown presently But it is very simple and user friendly as is My 7 yr olds can operate it after only a five minute tutorial from me              iTwinkle Indoor Tree Owner

The tree has had a new dimension to our house at Christmas We love it But the music plays just fine from both the tree and and apple device My only complaint is the playlist you create on your iPhone to play syncs with the tree but the list does not save to the Twinkle Light app when you turn it off This is a big hassle each time you want to play from your music           Like the tree But

The app and the Christmas tree both link up to make a jawdropping show Great product 299 was worth it                 Flawless

This tree has great potential but the app needs major improvements Would be nice to be able to play your own Christmas music through the trees speaker and have the lights sync to it Could also use some more song choices Hope it is improved for next year           Needs more options

I would love to give the app 5 stars however Im not a fan of the 8 songs that comes with the app as it will get old very quickly The fact that I cant play any DRM based music is insane especially the music that I have paid for in the past The solution that I was given to resolve the issue is to put a Bluetooth speaker underneath the tree in order to play my music I got a great solution for the manufacturer pay whatever fee the RIAA wants and quit inconveniencing the customers heck Im willing to pay it myself to get this working the way it should be     Love the tree and lights hate the fact that I cant play my bought music from iTunes

Limited ability to program the lights yourself makes them useless Im returning the lights due to the lack of functionality in the app     So much potential but poorly executed

Quite convo piece Only been able to pair with iPad no phone Havent figured out how to use my own music but maybe you cant Overall no complaints Easy to assemble and great to watch              Love It
