I got the iTwinkle lights last year as a gift The original app and my lights are BLUETOOTH but I got a new phone and the only app in the Apple Store now is only for WiFi So now I just have a string of insanely expensive Christmas tree lights which I can t even control as well as a 10 set of lights I am horribly disappointed because I had a lot of fun with them last year     Last years lights won t work SirBrunhilda

Bought 4 sets and can t connect to any but one Costco sent me a recall on these there is no intention of updating the app to work with multiple lights This is sad it was a cool idea     Can t connect Gr8drmrs

Most people use timers fit their lights These lights should default to the last setting used when powered on and off via timer Why do I have to sync with the lights every night to change the display back to the one I use every night         Please add this feature Bigbtwoyou

I try to set the light up we bought 9 and when it tells you look for twinkle wifi 1 you won t be able to find it     Hard Chessymonster

These lights have a lot of potential to be awesome but the app does not allow you to control them They should add a playlist feature so you can upload more than one pattern at a time Also they should add a way that will let you edit the patterns colors they have programmed Disappointed when I got them working and with the LIMITED control     Disappointed Mr.Mike2202

I bought 4 sets of 36 lights I was able to get them all synced to the same pattern the first time Now when I got to change the pattern the app makes me connect to the first set every time which does change color but I have no way of changing the others Have tried to do resets still no good Customer service number is good till 4pm It doesn t get dark until 5 30 here so it s not easy It s really bad because now I have to spend 3 hours to take them all down to return them     Confusing interface Sets don t keep sync BEWARE MonaKlan

I too spent a few hours trying to make this work Went online learned there s a password to hook it up via iPhone The light s password is 20152015 But it still didn t work I kept levelling up to setup screens I was sure it would eventually sync But after 2 5hours it dawned on me that if it s this difficult the first time it ll probably be a pain down the road Too bad Their business model seems to be promise what the people want and then hope they re too lazy to return it when it doesn t work UPDATE I m changing my rating from one star to two Here s why they seem to see there is a problem and the app has been updated This fixed the connection issue I have two strings of lights and I can connect to each change the colors etc but I can not string them together The app is always looking for itwinkle wifi to connect but each string seems to add itwinkle wifi 01 I twinkle wifi 02 etc The app only will recognize itwinkle wifi and so I can t connect the strings Those of you struggling with the same issue will know what I m talking about The software developer seemed pretty quick to address the first issue so I ve my fingers crossed this next issue will be rectified soon Either that or if I m doing it wrong the instructions need to be more clearly written Actually either way the instructions need to be more clear I ve put a lot more time into this than should be reasonably expected from a customer It s 2015 If it s a simple setup then post a video of how to do it online I m tired of figuring it out I ll update if I learn something or if they update the app again Here s hoping UPDATE Changing my review from two stars to four Why Because it works I m really happy with the idea and once it works it s great so I should give it a four star rating when it works but probably a two star rating on the setup instructions It took waaaaay too much time figuring it out But all s well now I think they key to success was the update they made to the app                 I really wanted this to work Typo2

I followed the instructions on the app and on the website not able to reset or connect to a set of lights I cannot use either the local or direct connect method     No clue how this works joshudd

I purchased the GE branded WiFi enabled lights at Costco today and have been trying to get this app to work correctly for over an hour It will either work wonderfully for you or fail miserably Tl dr Put the box back on the shelf and go get a Costco churro This isn t ready for prime time The app has many typos and is full of illogical English that makes following setup steps a guessing game doesn t seem to actually ever pair the lights to your local wifi has no solution when the reset feature doesn t work and the lights stop responding mine were stuck in a dim orange and I couldn t reset or control them In a frustrated rage of unplugging and plugging them back in quickly about 30 times in a row they started working again there is no hardware factory reset button on the device If something goes wrong it appears you can brick your lights For 50 bucks for a string of Christmas lights especially with GE s name on it you expect better Great concept poor execution     At Costco STOP Don t buy this amateur hour hardware software Tom Arthur
