iWOL is a Wake-on-LAN application that allows you to wake up a computer via the internet or using an internal network (LAN Broadcast). One useful use is to add VNC to your computer and wake up ...
Not wifi nor 3g     You need a wired connection
This application is amazing and works great People are probably giving this low rating because they dont know how to use it right and set up their network to accept this program I spent a half day researching on how to set this up right and now that I have all my network set up I can turn on my computer from anywhere and then sign in with Mocha VNC to controly computer Amazing Application                 Amazing
Used the exact same settings on Depicus and in this program Depicus worked but this program doesnt     Depicus works but this doesnt
After making 2 separate entries in the app to wakeup the same PC one via LAN and another via 3G tested each way to wake up and it worked well Getting it to work via 3G is not trivial as the home router must be configured properly              Works well
Tried another cheaper app no go This Installed working verified Thrice                 Works like a charm
I love this app and have been using it for years This would be a five star review if it wasnt for the fact the help page is no longer around and it does not work for iOS 7 This app hasnt been updated in 4 years Please update this app so loyal customers can continue to use it I would even be willing to pay for an in app purchase update     Please update
Only works over the Internet if your phone is on the same subnet as the device you want to wake up Sergio doesnt mention that Release an update that adds a subnet area please Like the wolgui has DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU THINK IT WILL WAKE YOUR SYSTEM FROM A 3G OR WIFI CONNECTION It only works when you are on the same network I wasted sooo much time If I want to turn my pc on when Im at home Ill walk over and do it And NO this isnt user error I have dyndns forwarded port high number two nics that ARE wol ready its set in the bios and yes I did use the tools you mention they work Ok this is all the time I have to waste PEACE     Read this it doesnt work as advertised
Works amazing even though Depicus program didnt work at all Must buy great combo with LogMeIn                 Great App
Can you please add the function sleep for mac os It would be so useful to have both function in one application              Wake up and sleep
Im using a Linksys WRT54G My Mac is connected wirelessly and my iPhone is on the same network The app says the packet is sent but my computer stays asleep I cant get this to work UPDATE I didnt see that it says in the description that the computer must be wired Less useful than I originally thought but not 1 star           Wont awaken sleeping Mountain Lion
Took a while but I got it to work with my iPad Very easy to set up if you follow the instructions on their web site Also followed the instructions on Apples site Mac OS X v106 About Wake on Demand                 Works as advertised
Works exactly as advertised Good app                 Perfect
The app might work on a iPhone but it does not work on a iPod touch for sure Not recommended     TOTAL BS It does not work on IPod touch models
Use magicpacketfreefr to test if you are receiving the packet fine Make sure you port forward your router correctly I set this up for 2 computers through the same router I just made UDP port 9 and UDP port 7 forwards Then in iWOL I used my EXTERNAL IP address for the Host with the proper matching MAC addresses and port forwards this app works exactly how it should I have tested each of my connections through wifi3gand edge using only 1 setup for each computer As long as I have a connection I can turn my computers on from anywhere Dont criticize a perfectly working app Great job dev team                 Worked perfectly
worth 199              Great app but it should be cheaper
Did what it advertised Started my computer up over the Internet I would definitely recommend making sure your computer supports WoL before purchasing                 Works
Ive found this app to be a letdown and it only works if its on the same subnet as my server Following the developers instructions where he says to try out other Wake On Lan products before buying this to make sure you can wake up your machine from the internet Ive managed to successfully activate my server using 4 different apps in WinXP Linux and OSX This iWOL iPhone app however is the only one that doesnt work and its also the only one that actually cost anything I dont know if its possible to get a refund but I suggest that others avoid this until the product is improved     Disappointing and not worth 5
I know I was warned to try the webpage I dont see how that tests your system so I bought it and tried for two days in my linkseys wrt54g web setup I evan followed threads that claimed to get it to work but no bien If anyone has the secret     More instruction
Just put the necessary information in and it wakes the MacPC up Simple as that I just cannot get it to work remotely with my Mac and PC Combine this with a VNC program and youll never need to sit in front of your computer again              Works Nicely
This app does what it says but I expect for for the price This is more like a 99 app        Works great but not worth 299
Very lightweight app and works perfectly Thanks                 Works great
works as expected works reliabally from my experience little expensive but worth it                 great app
iWOL works great for me on my private LAN But it wont work reliably over the cell network due to the stupid ATT uverse router I have and the way it handles hosts not online with port forwarding l may look into getting another router to use as a DMZ behind the remote gateway as Ive read that solution will work in most cases for WOL As for the app it will work if your setup supports it              Simple and to the point
I got it to work just fine but the price is a bit much for a magic packet sender 199 would of been better Other then the price I like this app              Does what it says and nothing more
Wish I could get a refund No where was it stated you had to have a Ethernet cable connected and not be connected wirelessly Who the hell does that anymore With all MACs having builtin wifi and Bluetooth why run a cable these days What a dissapointment     Sounds great but left out one detail
No one tells you but easiest way to make it work over Internet is to have a ddwrt compatible router and then set up wake on lan following the wake on lan instructions for ddwrt google it its basically doing port forwarding and adding a static ARP entry                 Get a DDWRT router
Just a word of warning The current version does not work with iOS 7 Been using this app for years and now its useless There are better apps out there anyway Look elsewhere     Does NOT work with iOS 7
I had this once before for free and deleted it couldnt get it to work on windows got an awesome 24 iMac os x 1055 and had no problem installing it but had to buy again this time for 299 little salty but works great Need sleep feature              Works great Need sleep feature
Simple interface seems to work just as described Im sure some people will have problems that will most likely be linked to their setup on the pc Make sure youre able to wake the machine on lan from another pc first                 Works as expected
easy to set works fine                 Nice app
I can iWol it when I put my iMac to sleep and MOMENTS later test if this app can wake it up which it can However when iMac is asleep for some time it tends to get into some type of COMA and does not want to be woken up by iWol What gives Has anyone had a similar experience I have put the LAN Broadcasrt option ON and still the same           my iMac gets into coma
I tested my server and I know that wake on lan is working and yet this program still regularly throws errors at me and has not once functioned correctly     Wake on Lan
only work over local network unable to get it works over internet     not work over internet
This is a great portable app period                 Great app
