It s good extracting and creating ZIP files because it supports drag drop You can extract individual files from a ZIP file without extracting the whole thing However you cannot modify any ZIP archive They always appear as read only It can only create ZIP files same as built in MacOS compress option but it cannot create 7z files for example only extractions is available             Not able to edit ZIP R.PALACIOS

I downloaded this app to create password protected files to email to clients Unfortunately the zips it creates aren t recognized on Windows and I discovered that the OS X Archive Utility the built in zipper unzipper can t handle the archives either So I ll have to look elsewhere or keep futzing with Terminal to create password protected zips     Pasword protection doesn t work correctly Laguna Backpacker

This app works fine for small files but for big files and certain compression formats it will freeze up or just crash after uncompressing just afew small files Especially on 7zip files iZip is HORRIBLE at uncompressing 7zip files It will literally take 1 hours to uncompress a small 7zip file that would take other programs 10 30 seconds and i m running a i7 quad core Mac with a 750GB Samsung SSD and 16gb of RAM I produce entire songs on my Mac and iZip struggle to uncompress a 20mb 7zip file Use this program if you want to but there are much better free programs out there for this Literally just downloaded Unarchiver off the Mac app store to give it a try Been using iZip for almost a year without questioning all the problems Can t believe how much better Unarchiver is What freezes iZip or would take an entire day to uncompress took only 5 minutes on my Mac with Unarchiver Thats how buggy and how bad iZip utilizes the power of your Mac     Horribly Buggy depending on size and file type Overloads Mac w memory spikes DaWrecked oNe

it showed a content of an archive 7z with a password but couldn t unzip it at all Tried Unarchiver and it unzipped the file perfectly So shame     Doesn t work DeoDmitry

I tried using this app to decompress a collection of 7zip ed video calibration files on an imac i5 8gb ram OS10 8 While the app performs the task correctly memory usage spikes until all available system memory is consumed Which causes an extreme slowdown in the process of extracting the archives and makes the computer virtually unusable until iZip is closed Good app for only working with few files         memory leak RezMedia

Hello The app iZip in itself is good But it needs some patches improvement yadda yadda I like using izip to unzip roms i then put them on a microsd to use on my son s r4 ds but sometimes for some of these roms while extracting ghave a message pop up it goes ERROR EXTRACTING An error occured while trying to load or extract one or more files this results in the rom on the sd having zero bytes of data yet int the orginal zip file it has the correct amount if anyone can answer why this happens or the game patches this problem Izip will receive another five stars             Good but some problems fldsmfr

It tantalizingly displayed the file contents of a 4 88 GB zip file but yields an error when attempting to extract either a single file or any directories in the zipped structure Disappointing     Doesn t work Addicted to Software

Problem 1 You have to open the unzipper and manually Unzip them Problem 2 You have to manualy reorder the files inside Problem 3 It does not quit itself neither does Alzip but Alzip does not need to do either of the above Problem 4 It is not as easy to use as Alzip         Go with ALZIP It s free and It works better Patrick Leeming

I was frustrated that the app forced me to open a zip file in a read only window It took me a while to realize that it had in fact unzipped the folder in the original location It works but it wasn t as obvious as I d have liked             Mildly confusing interface joanwolk

I was looking for around for a program to unzip rar files for brushes to use in photoshop I found this gave it a go an had my brushes in 5 minutes When it opens close the archive window Click open and go look for your rar file It ll open 2 windows Pick the one with the most files as that s usually the contents instead of the folder Just drag and drop it out of the window to the location you want and wallah                     Quick If you know what you are doing MarsWasHere

All I needed was something to open a password protected Zip file created with 7 zip created on a Windows PC This did the trick just fine for me on a 2008 MBP running Mountain Lion                 Works with password protected zip files created using 7 zip on Windows RobV8R

I dont get why an app like this is not the most downloaded and popular archive utility As opposite to other free apps iZip allows me to preview the contents of the compressed files then I can choose wich files I want to extract just by dragging and dropping them its simple and perfect                     Best of all archive utilities KidmanBr

Basically its a good product does what it says it does but the biggest issues I have is when inserting a number of files it sorts them in who knows what order I usually have a list of images starting with a suffix of 1 2 3 etc When I grab a 100 images and zip it the order is all random I don t like not having control like that             It does what it says but some issues jpkinfla
